Bring the whole family (or two) to our lake in mid coast Maine! This year round home is in a peaceful setting yet close to coastal towns of Belfast and Camden. Enjoy a paddle around the lake with our kayaks, canoe or simply hang out on the dock. The clean lake is an angler’s dream. We are set up for the youngest (crib, toys, swings)to the oldest ( one step into first floor, bedroom directly across from bathroom). Fall and winter stays bring even more quiet and respite from the outside world.

The cottage borders a beautiful stream, is surrounded by tall pines and is several hundred feet away from our home, providing a very private and serene experience. We are close to many local lakes and hiking trails and only 30 minutes from Camden & Rockland.

A hot tub is conveniently located off the deck for ultimate relaxation! This cabin is tucked away, surrounded by nature! But also conveniently located to so many wonderful spots in the Midcoast! Our secluded, very quiet and private two bedroom cabin with loft features a bug-free screened-in porch on its large deck. The cabin overlooks peaceul Sandy Pond, inhabited by bald eagles, loons, and herons. Watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets, fish and kayak from our dock. We're close to coastal Belfast, Unity, MOFGA (annual Common Ground Fair), Waterville, Acadia and Camden. Eat at The Lost Kitchen, visit the Amish, hike the Hills to Sea Trail.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
