Holiday rentals in Palazzo del Pero

This was our second time visiting Mogens and Suzie's beautiful home in Cortona. One reason for coming back was the sheer beauty of the property and the proximity to fantastic medieval towns with incredible history that endures even now. For wine enthusiasts, there are tons of wine tasting opportunities with lunch, dinner or just great wine. Another reason for our return visit was an opportunity to spend time again with Mogens and Suzie, by far the best AIRBNB hosts we have ever encountered. They do everything imaginable to make your time as enjoyable as possible and to say that they go the extra mile would be a gross understatement. We can't wait to come back a third time.

We loved the location, the quiet neighborhood and the nearby restaurants. What a beautiful place!

Our stay at Marion’s place was incredible! She was so responsive to all my questions and needs. We stayed in the largest apartment they have and it was so wonderful to have a private bedroom and bathroom for all of our family. The linens were fresh and white and smelled like orange blossoms. We ate one night at the restaurant and the food was delicious! As we were in Tuscany for a wedding, we were not able to eat there again, but would have loved to. The grounds were beautiful and immaculate and the pool so refreshing. Luca was so helpful with anything we needed. If we ever have the opportunity, we will stay there again! Thank you for making our stay so stress-free and lovely!

A truly magical and unique stay in a castle apartment. After 24 days exploring the beauty of Italy, our arrival at Simone's third floor apartment in the village was breathtaking. This truly magnificent setting, nestled within a castle, immediately enveloped us in a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The apartment itself is not only beautifully appointed and meticulously cared for, but also boasts spectacular views across the mountain range that invited us to sit for hours, simply unwinding and soaking in the tranquility. While we ventured down the mountain a few times, we found ourselves drawn to the gentle rhythm of morning and evening walks, always culminating in a visit to the piazza to once again marvel at the stunning views Simone, our host, is simply the most considerate and attentive host I have encountered in 15 years of travel. I can’t say enough good things about my stay here — from start to finish, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Giovanni went above and beyond in every possible way. Communication was quick, clear, and kind, and they were always available for questions or local recommendations. Check-in was smooth and easy, and I immediately felt at home. The space itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — exactly as described (if not better). Small thoughtful touches like welcoming wine and snack board made it feel more like staying at a friend’s home than a rental. It’s clear that Giovanni genuinely cares about their guests’ comfort. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Hard to find a place like Maria’s, beautiful place and with such a friendly and helpful staff.

A very peaceful retreat in a beautiful garden with lots of private places to sit or eat and an extended view over the valley towards Arezzo and mountains beyond. Caroline was helpful but did not intrude. The cottage has an authentic Tuscan style and furniture to match and although quite dark there are big windows looking out onto the garden and view. We enjoyed using the private pool and exploring the local area as well as a National Park to the north (lovely beech forest) and Siena. The TV isn’t ‘smart’ and there is no dishwasher but this is reflected in the price (however there’s a large book collection including lots of guidebooks). It was a very relaxing stay for us, thank you.

We have stayed at a fair number of AirBnBs in some beautiful places. This was (by far) the best and most beautiful of them all. Our stay here was part of a four AirBnB trip (Rome, Amalfi, Tuscany, and Venice). This place is incredibly scenic, quiet, tranquil, and the unit itself has an old farmhouse/vineyard kind of vibe. But in spite of its age, it is well maintained and comfortable… supplying everything you need. After touring the area during the day, we (two couples) would come back in the late afternoon, and put together a charcuterie board and sit outside drinking wine, and playing cards until it was too dark to see the cards. The hosts (staff and owner) were so kind, friendly, and approachable. Simply put, this was THE BEST STAY EVER!
