Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. Aan de Kaai is in (Cabauw/Lopik) on the border of the province of Utrecht and Zuid Holland. In the middle of the Groene Hart of the Utrecht Waarden and the Krimpenerwaard.

Monumental farmhouse Het Vinkenest in Oud-Alblas, located directly on the water "De Alblas". The mills of Kinderdijk are a few kilometers away and are of course a must to go to. The old town of Dordrecht can be reached by car within 10 minutes, and with 20 minutes you are in Rotterdam. Recently there is also an 8-person boat for rent as an addition. This is the ideal location for a great family weekend and not suitable for groups under 25 years.

The place was really a cute little tiny house with all the amenities you need for everyday life. Very lovingly furnished and enjoying the morning coffee in the quiet garden was definitely a highlight! Leo and Naomi were super friendly and very helpful. We would definitely come back! We combined our weekend in Dordrecht with cycling in the Biesbosch. Car parked further down the road and with the bikes to the accommodation. It was great that they could be kept dry and safe inside. Dordrecht city center is within walking distance. Delicious and special food at Villa Augustus, 1 of the host's recommendations.

What an interesting place to stay - very historic and clearly much loved by the family who own it. It is full of antiques, curiosities and paintings. We were bike touring so particularly appreciated the lovely hot shower and the sauna.

At Paulien's place we experienced Dutch hospitality. The place where the guest house is located is just wonderful. Nature, water channels, ducks and geese. If a person wants to relax from stress, this is just a wonderful place. The house was clean, smelled fresh, everything necessary was there. We were made to feel welcome there. Paulien had respected our privacy, but at the same time she was always ready to provide support and assistance. It was a wonderful holiday and we hope we will be able to visit them again.

Great night spent in Loïs's accommodation. The host is super responsive and their directions for self check-in are clear. He also does not hesitate to advise you if needed. The accommodation is clean and everything you need is there. I would still note that there may be a little noise at night but that does not take away from the fact that the accommodation is great. We'll be happy to come back if we pass through the area again. Thanks Lois.
