Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Oud Ade

Lovely space to stay in. Clean and comfortable and picturesque location.

Jochem's place is, as others have said, whimsical and creative. He is the ultimate host, very generous with snacks, groceries, coffee, and wine (thank you!). It is clear that he has worked hard to create a unique environment. Here is our list of pros and cons: Pros: Communicative, responsive, kind and generous host Great, safe location - we walked everywhere in this beautiful city Very well stocked fridge, a bottle of wine as a welcome Great shower Nice, big bed Washer and dryer Cons: While Jochem has created nice "mood" lighting, it was somewhat dark for us, and particularly for a woman trying to put on makeup, fix hair, etc. There was absolutely no storage for our clothing, and being on a long trip, it was a challenge living out of suitcases on the floor. The toilet room sink is very tiny with only cold water, and we had to use the kitchen sink to wash up and brush our teeth. I could barely walk around the bed as it takes up most of the bedroom.

We stayed a few nights with our 2 small kids, mainly to visit Amsterdam, and had a wonderful time. The house was great for us, very clean, enough space for everyone, very nice neighbourhood and restaurants and shops were close by bike or walking. We took the car to the nearest train station (Bussum Zuid) with free parking but without kids and less rain, walking would also have been easily possible. Jaap was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. We would happily come again!

We had an amazing stay in the heart of Holland. The place was very convenient and easy to use. Ellen has bikes available for rent and that was extremely convenient and tons of fun.

One of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in! It was spotlessly clean (not a speck of dust anywhere!), everything had been thought of (including a welcome bottle of bubbles!), it was spacious, and very convenient for public transport....oh, and stylishly decorated! Being close to the train station meant that we could easily get into central Amsterdam, as well as go on day trips to Rotterdam and Zaanse Schans during our stay. Our favourite day was renting bikes in Zaanse Schans for the day and enjoying cycling through the countryside. Very happily recommend this place to others looking for a base near Amsterdam.

That was a wonderful stay in a sweet and very cozy accommodation! When we come back to Amsterdam, we definitely want to be accommodated in Astrid's little cozy cottage again! Everything you need is available here. There is also a selection of spices, coffee and tea available as well as sufficient cooking utensils and dishes. The house was very clean and tastefully cozy. The beds were very comfortable too. Shopping facilities are within walking distance, as is the bus stop with a good connection to Amsterdam. All in all, a five-star plus accommodation! Ilse's house, a former stable that has been renovated with top-notch fixtures and with great taste, is exactly as advertised - a peaceful haven in bucolic surroundings within close proximity to the picturesque city of Leiden. We had a wonderful time unwinding and enjoying quiet evenings with homemade meals thanks to the well-equipped, luxuriously huge kitchen. Perfect location as a jumping-off point to explore the area, including the beautiful tulips at Keukenhof. Highly recommend and already dreaming of coming back. Ilse and Diederik were incredibly friendly and responsive and made us feel welcome while not infringing on our privacy. Perfect hosts.

Do not hesitate to go there! It is the perfect getaway! Everything is well thought, well decorated, we felt so quickly at home and at peace. There are some houses and neighbours around the house but you might only see them when you arrive and leave. The place is private and quiet. The view is exactly like the picture, we spent evenings looking at the sky, the birds, the rabbits and the cows. A great place 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Bellatrix, and felt very comfortable. The accommodation is super clean and modern. The hostess is also very friendly and gives good tips for the area. The proximity to the city and the short distance to the beach are excellent.

Such a lovely stay! This place was exactly what we needed — peaceful, cozy, and away from all the city noise. The cottage is super cute, clean, and has everything you need. Loved waking up to the sounds of farm animals, and it’s close to some handy local grocers too. The host, Marit was amazing — super responsive and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unplug, recharge, and enjoy a bit of countryside bliss. We’d definitely come back!

It’s very good and charming place to stay

Nanda’s place is very spacious and comfortable, with lovely large windows and all the facilities you would need. The apartment is on the first floor (no lift!) with the hosts’ living area on the ground floor and bedrooms on the second floor. Easy 5 minute walk to buses, just 3 stops to Central Utrecht. Nanda was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Recommended!

Margor and Steven are nice and attentive, they give us a lot of helpful information about the area. The location is near the Zaandam train station and convenient when travelling to Amsterdam city centre. A very nice and cosy place to stay in NL.

The apartment was perfect for our stay over the marathon weekend and made us sad it wasn’t our own! It has a large kitchen with everything you need and a lovely bathroom with huge shower. Hans was a great host and made the self check in process super easy. Thank you Hans and the beautiful Leiden!

The property is located 20 mins from Schiphol Airport, in a quiet gated community. The house was neat and clean and located beside a water canal. The kitchen and cutlery were well stocked. The furniture was comfortable. Plenty of towels provided. Easy to get to the city and to the other attractions. As stated in the description there is no washer / dryer. Bedrooms are located on the floor above the ground floor, the stairs are a bit steep. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very responsive, friendly and courteous. Upon request we were given a late checkout which was very helpful and very kind of the host. Indeed a superhost! Would love to come back someday!

We had a great time. We loved the place, everything was perfect as in the photos. The cottage is cozy, comfortable and good location. We really enjoyed the amenities like sauna and bikes. The hosts are very kind and communication was easy and efficient.

It was such a pleasure and privilege to stay at this home. The house is worthy of museum status — a gem of art nouveau glass and tiles. But it also features a fantastic modern kitchen, great WiFi, and comfortable beds. In other words, the best of both historic and modern. The location is perfect, with steps-away access to transit, groceries, dining, and more. Adjacent to a canal, the site is also a natural haven, filled with nighttime sounds and daytime bird life. We were treated to a goose family with multiple goslings for part of our stay! Washer/dryer are great, as was the tv and other appliances. And finally, the decor is stylish and interesting….perfectly themed for those interested in travel. Having stayed at nearly 100 Airbnbs, this was one of our all-time favorites.

We had a wonderful weekend with the family! Really enjoyed the fantastic garden and the sauna. The house also has all the comforts. We were warmly welcomed and there was pleasant communication with Kirsten. Absolutely recommended!

Splendid place for a weekend with friends. Big enough for 12 people, with a gorgeous garden and a nordic bath. We really enjoyed our stay! Only point which could be improved: the kitchen is a bit small if you want to cook.

Insanely great house with super lovely hosts. Joke and Peter always help with quick answers and give good tips. There are tips for activities, also to be found directly in the house. The house is a real dream and you feel right at home. We love staying here and have been coming here once a year.
