Staying in Tyssebotnen in little family farmhouse full of history made our dreams come true. This cozy home surrounded by an incredible yard full of berries which leads to a private dock is just amazing. If you like being in pure nature in an authentic Norwegian home with just a touch of modern Scandinavian interior design we highly recommend this place. Askild and Kristoffer are very pleasant and always helpful owners.

Hege’s place was great for our group of 7 and we had a wonderful time staying there. It was a great home base to explore Bergen (15 min drive) and the surrounding area. Hege was extremely welcoming and even offered to shop for us the day of our arrival. She helped us get oriented to the house the first day and was very responsive while we stayed there. She even gave us a fantastic recommendation for where to get a delicious traditional Norwegian meal. I highly recommend Hege’s house for travelers exploring the Bergen area!

We loved our stay here; you absolutely can’t beat the view and it’s super peaceful. The bathrooms in particular are really nice and were very clean! There is only one true shower as the master bath is a giant tub with a handheld sprayer but no curtain or hook for the handheld sprayer, but still very manageable and the other full bath has a stand up shower. We did not have a vehicle, but the host provided instructions with pictures for us to get to the house; we managed just fine with the 92 bus and train connection into Bergen. Be warned that the transit doesn’t run 24/7 though, so we had to schedule a taxi for an early morning airport departure. We would absolutely stay again; thanks for a great visit!

What a unique place with a fantastic view. This house is close enough to Bergen for trips into the city and far enough away to enjoy the surroundings in a relaxed and quiet way. The house is very spacious and fully equipped. The beautiful terrace, the trampoline for the children and the separate gym are really a great addition. On arrival there was a booklet with lots of useful information about the house, including a guide with maps and descriptions of walks in the area. Communication with the owner went very smoothly. We enjoyed it immensely with our family. Highly recommended.

Wonderful property in an amazing location with a magnificent view of the Fjords! The surroundings are superbly scenic and peaceful, at the same time there are enough activities to keep the kids busy (our group had 2 boys - 5 and 7 years old respectively. Karina and Erlend are wonderful hosts, responsive and considerate, and have taken really good care of keeping the house in immaculate condition. Connectivity to Bergen and onwards cruises for the Fjords is not too far, and in fact one can really do some good day trips from the property itself. Highly, highly recommended and a big thanks once again to Karina and Erlend!!

We stayed here as a couple with four kids and had a wonderful time. The house was spacious and comfortable for everyone, with a stunning view from the living and dining area. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

This is a delightful and charming apartment in an excellent location . We loved staying here. Very quaint area full of pretty wooden houses and only a short walk to great cafes , Bryggen and the funicular. Frank is so helpful and kind. He gave us early check in and late check out and lots of information on what to do. Bergen is a beautiful city.

We appreciate all the details Julia put in to make her apartment so comfortable, like electric outlet adapter for foreigners, microwave oven, quality appliances. The bathroom is large with a good shower and a sitting bench. Dedicated parking near the front door. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Quick & easy communication. Good value. Highly recommend.

The apartment keeps what photos and description promise and Zita is an excellent hostess. Very communicative, she gave us helpful tips even before the arrival. The reception was very friendly and the briefing very prudent. It was very clear that Zita cared about our well-being. The apartment is ideal for 2 people. Tastefully furnished and fully equipped. The wonderful view over the fjord is worth highlighting. In good weather from the terrace and in the rain also from the room. If you are planning a trip to Bergen, we recommend the ferry, which Knarvik-Kai goes directly into the city center of Bergen. She drives in the morning and back in the afternoon. The parking lot is directly at the jetty. We have been traveling in Airbnb neighborhoods since 2014, this was one of the most beautiful. We highly recommend it! Christina and Jörg

I stayed for a whole month at Signe's place and wish I could have stayed longer! The flat was super cosy and peaceful, with a beautiful view of the woods and the fjord. The Spar supermarket at Ask is reachable by foot or bicycle. Kleppesto, which is 30 minutes away by bus, has even more amenities including a pharmacy and hairdresser. I cooked most meals during my stay. The kitchen was well-equipped with a fridge and dishwasher. Laundry was also easy with the washing machine and drying rack. I had a car the first week (the flat has a dedicated parking space with the best view you could ever imagine) to visit Herdla and Hardanger. When visiting Bergen, it was much more fun to take the bus and boat! When I wasn't out and about, I spent my days reading in the hammock and fishing for pollack at the nearby dock. Signe is really lovely and kind, sharing lots of insider tips and even bringing me freshly baked bread on a few mornings. Her cats Julipuss and Sølve are so sweet too. Thank you!

Book this now! You won’t find anything as charming. It was an incredibly stay with Bjarne so much that we were sad to leave. Bjarne and his wife are so friendly and truly want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is nothing negative to say about this place. It’s peaceful, serene, and clean. We enjoyed watching the wildlife right outside the window while enjoying our morning coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable and soft. Coffee and tea were provided in the kitchen. We were even able to do our laundry with provided detergent. The location was only 15 minutes from the city center and close to the airport. Nice and quiet neighborhood without the noise of the city. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever came back to Norway.

We were very warmly welcomed and felt comfortable in the accommodation right away. This is very clean and lovingly furnished. The location is really fantastic and exactly as described. The view of the fjord is beautiful and we had a great stay. We particularly liked that we were simply allowed to take the kayak and the special hospitality of Trude and Bjørn.

Sindre’s place was an amazing base for our Bergen adventure! The apartment is beautiful and cozy with an amazing view. It is, as advertised, quite a hike to get up to the apartment without the funicular, but it’s well worth it. Sindre was kind and helpful with all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Great place to stay while in Bergen! Loads of room and a very modern look. Having two bathrooms was great and the beds were super comfortable. We felt that the location was very walkable. Perhaps best of all was that Tonje-Christin was very friendly and communicative and was a helpful source of information! We would stay again.

Very nice house. Absolutely comfortable. Felt like at home. Cecilie was very kind to allow me late check out. She also helped me to park my car for 10 days before my check in date (when I went for 10 days cruise from Bergen).

I felt completely comfortable in the accommodation! It is very cozy, sparkling clean and a real little oasis of well-being. Everything you need was available – from kitchen equipment to loving details that made the stay particularly pleasant. The hostess was very warm and helpful. The connection to the city was also easily accessible by public transport. I can only recommend the place and would love to come back!

Great location with easy walkability to downtown Bergen, concert halls and city transportation. I was concerned being so close to the light rail it might be noisy but it was super peaceful. Unit was very comfortable, tidy and very clean. The most comfortable sofa bed I have slept on, ever! All appliances functioned perfectly. Simply lovely home away from home. Hendrik responded immediately to my inquiries. An excellent stay.

It’s a great place, comfortable stay and nicely decorated, really loved the balcony. And very much appreciated we could check out a little bit later because of our later flight . Bed is fine for a few nights. Would recommend,
