Holiday rentals in Oronsay

What a place to stay!! From the initial booking and super communications with Steve, we’ve enjoyed the best few days in Scotland ever!! The bothy is in the most idyllic location on Mull, but at the same time only a short drive from the ferry terminal. We were met by Steve on our arrival (earlier than expected as the cottage had been free the day before..this gave us half a day extra really!) and showed around the property…wow, wow and WOW!!! The design, the immaculate presentation, the comfiest of beds..an absolute credit to Steve who has put so much thought and effort into such a wonderful place..and the view…well, there aren’t any words!!! We were blessed with beautiful weather whilst spending our few days exploring parts of the island (the bird life is exceptional!!) but if the weather had been different, we could’ve very happily stayed in the cottage just watching the tide roll in and disappear again!! What a wonderful place. I have been coming to the island since I was a boy and this was the first year I could bring my own child to enjoy the most magical place. The house is perfect. A stunning location, clean, warm and spacious. We had a wonderful week and made some truly special memories. We will return!

Thank you Rebecca for hosting us during Feis Ile! The pod was a great place to start and end our days with the hot tub and outdoor BBQ a real highlight. Everything was clean and well designed for the space and Rebecca was always responsive when asked but also gave us plenty of privacy throughout the week. The place was a close drive to Port Ellen and Bowmore as well, with a couple of local Coops within 10-15 minutes of driving.

Visiting to take part in the Isle of Mull Sportive, the Cabin was perfectly located and provided everything we needed for our stay - tranquil setting, good warm and cosy space, well-equipped kitchen, space for our bikes, bathroom that gave us the option of a long soak in the bath if needed after our ride (we didn't but the water was really nice and hot for our showers). Eugenie sent a very informative and helpful welcome pack ahead of our stay providing clear directions and lots of great recommendations - we couldn't get in to eat at Croft 3 but we did drop in for coffee and cake and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks to Tomo, Eugenie's partner, for the encouragement to eat at Am Birlinn on our last evening - lovely space and staff and the food was delicious! More thanks to Tomo - for equipping us with hose, bucket, joinery advice and his patience! :D

What an incredible place! We were blown away by Tricia’s attention to detail, it honestly had everything you could ever need. The space was immaculate and cozy, and the garden was stunning. We were only there for two nights but came away wishing we’d stayed for longer, I’m sure we’ll be back! One of the best holiday lets we’ve ever stayed at, Tricia is an excellent host!

A great find, such a peaceful setting, very quite road so no traffic noise, an excellent outdoor area with chairs to sit, relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. The Wee hoosie is very clean and very well presented. Very clear directions for arrival which we had no problems finding. Kitchen area well equip with everything we needed. Some informative books of Islay with a great sections of the history of Port Charlotte. You can walk to Port Charlotte to walk for drinks and meal at one of the hotels with a footpath all the way. Had a fantastic time in Portnehaven watching the Seals. It’s also a great location for the RSPB nature reserve and to visit all the distilleries, we didn’t quite make it to them all but enjoyed a lovely 30min walk down the pedestrian path to Bruichladdich distillery which also does Gin tasting too!!! 100% recommend; thanks to Catherine for been a great host.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to finish our week exploring Islay and Jura. The cottage is an absolute dream. A mixture of back to basics and quality amenities. Located a 10 minute drive from Craighouse but also with great walks straight from the door. The paps right on your doorstep gave us the most magical sunset sight. Rain or sun whatever the weather Jura wears it well. And Mrs Leonard’s cottage is the perfect place to come back to and either warm up in front of the fire or sip a wine or a touch of the hard stuff in the garden. I hope we will be back

We loved staying here. It's in a quiet, remote location and has everything you need for your stay. Pat couldn't be kinder or more helpful. There are some lovely places to eat just a short drive away and the scenery is stunning. Hope to come back.
