Johnnycake Flats Inn was the perfect New England getaway! Debra and her husband Jim are wonderful people and the best hosts. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast that kept us fueled for the day. Jim is great at offering up places to visit and mapping everything out for easy navigating. If you are looking for a peaceful, homey place to stay, with fantastic hosts, look no further!

Absolutely amazing place to stay for a ski weekend at Sugarbush! Super comfortable beds, clean space, and great breakfast for a nice extra touch. Felt like home sitting by the fire after a long ski day! We will definitely be back.

Debra and her husband Jim are wonderfully friendly hosts. Breakfast was exceptionally tasty and just the right thing to start a day of snowboarding. Staying at johnnycake flats is like getting a warm hug. Everything about our stay was terrific. Just what we needed.

We loved everything about this place. The setting with beautiful view. House was so cool and interesting filled with thousands of conversation pieces. Room was excellent and clean. Trails along the granite quarry were really cool. The continental breakfast was amazing and we got to meet the other guests who were great. We have traveled the world, and this little side trip to Barre was one of our most memorable experiences. If you want to experience Vermont, this is Vermont. Go to the Granite Museum in town and the cemetery.

The pancakes and the Vermont Maple syrup was 10 out of 10. I Loved my stay and would highly recommend.

Evelyn’s place was so beautiful! I felt right at home and honestly had such a great experience! Her house is nestled in the gorgeous Vermont mountains and is very rich in its history! Her home is as old as the entire state of Vermont and she has worked really hard to keep the history of the place alive! Evelyn is also incredibly friendly, kind and her hospitality is unmatched! I cannot wait to be back!!

I had a lovely stay at this unique and peaceful place. The space inside is interesting and spacious, with incredible windows, a full kitchen, and intriguing decor. (If you're not fond of mounted animals on the walls, then this place is not for you.) Frankie was a helpful and gracious host. When I got lost, she drove down to find me and lead me back to her place! It's tucked away, but worth the effort of finding it.

Caryn allowed us to check in early, and greeted us when we arrived. The house is historic and beautiful & she clearly communicates all house rules and details upon arrival. We only stayed 1 night but it was seamless. Had a great nights sleep and breakfast was lovingly homemade— our compliments to the toast made from her homemade oatmeal bread. So yummy! Would stay again.

We were welcomed by our charming host. Kimmie is fun to talk to. The old house has a lot of charm in a lovely neighborhood. We took many walks to enjoy the town. Loved the cheese and bacon puffs for breakfast. Thanks, Kimmie

Kimmie's place was amazing. If you're looking for a place to stay in Central Vermont, then I highly recommend it. My husband and I had the ski suite, and it was so beautiful, clean, comfy, and well decorated. Kimmie is a great host, very communicative and accommodating, she made us feel very welcome and comfortable!
