Cabin holiday rentals in Orange County

This place was magical for my husband, our two young kids, and our two dogs. All of us were able to relax and be one with nature. We listened to music in front of the fire, searched for tadpoles in the pond, made s’mores by the fire and explored the woods! My husband and I even got to relax in the hot tub after bedtime. Such an incredible spot! Thank you to Rupert and his family for sharing such a beautiful spot with the world!

The host was very responsive whenever we had questions. Great place to just relax, very quiet and beautiful scenery from the hot tub. Would definitely go again!

Melissa’s listing was a great find during a time when there very few places to stay in the greater Vermont area due to the solar eclipse. She was very responsive even before we reached the Airbnb, gave very useful advice about getting around and local attractions, and had a beautiful space for us to enjoy a weekend trip.

Angela's RZEKA COTTAGE is a true find! This was our second time visiting in the area, staying at Rzeka Cottage. It is a well-appointed, SUPER clean home on the White River. My husband spent his morning-coffee time, watching the sunrise over the mountain at the river's edge. Quite dramatic and a great way to start the day! The hot tub was new to us and a wonderful amenity! It was very easy to use and we did so on our last night at RZEKA. Angela is a very responsive and pro-active host. She gave us the information we needed and got back in touch promptly with any extra questions we had. It will not be our last time staying at Rzeka Cottage when we are in the area again!

We were in town for the Vermont Law and Graduate School graduation weekend. This was a beautiful private alternative to further-away hotels for about the same price and we could bring the dog. Very private, pretty, and peaceful. The cabin had all the supplies we needed and more. Great hosts and a great stay, we will be back!

What a magical stay! The land is stunning with your own private remote yoga studio next to a babbling brook. Right out of a fairy tale!! The home itself is beautiful and felt cozy & inviting. Hosts were extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you!

The cabin was just as described. Peaceful, surrounded by woods. Very clean inside. Pamela communicated all the details and responded to texts quickly. The cabin, though peaceful and secluded was near Barre and Montpelier Vermont, and there was lots to do and see and good restaurants close by.

This was are 3rd visit and first visit with our 5 + 7 year old. We loved hiking down to the pond and spending the day there on the cute sandy beach. Cool evenings around the fire pit making s’mores was the perfect ending to the day. The cabin was SO clean and a great fit for our family of 4. Thank you!!!

One of the reasons why we love staying at the cabin is Carol's responsiveness. She is always very quick to respond to questions or problems. The cabin gives us plenty of room to spread out, kitchen amenities like home, plenty of property to go for walks and a genuinely rural atmosphere within 20 minutes of downtown Montpelier. This was the perfect long weekend getaway. The home was vert comfortable. Great beds and the shower had good water pressure. The yard was beautiful. It was so nice to sit by the fire at night. The kitchen had all the basics and it was easy to make meals. I would absolutely recommend this home for a long weekend with friends or family.

We’ve been returning to this incredible Airbnb year after year, and it never disappoints. The house is exactly as depicted in the photos—clean, well-maintained, and beautifully furnished. The owners are absolutely wonderful—warm, responsive, and genuinely committed to making each stay comfortable and enjoyable. What sets this place apart is the location. Tucked away in a quiet, private setting, it’s the ideal retreat for rest and relaxation. Whether you're lounging on the deck, enjoying your morning coffee, or simply soaking in the peace and quiet, the privacy of this spot makes it feel like your own little sanctuary. We always leave feeling refreshed and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Our stay at James's cottage was a great experience in a beautiful location right on Lake Morey. The cottage was very well equipped with everything we needed from a well-appointed kitchen to the large screened in porch to the outdoor decks, dock and raft. The cottage faces west, looking out across the lake, which afforded us some beautiful sunsets. There was ample room for five of us to play board games or to find a quiet place to read a book or to kayak, swim and fish. James was an excellent host; he was very prompt and responsive with his communications. We had a wonderful family vacation and would definitely consider returning there in the future.

Holy Smokes! So so peaceful and beautiful! My favorite was falling asleep (in the extremely comfortable bed) to frog sounds. Plenty of books and wonderful nearby hikes. We bought some maple syrup flower sprinkles from the farm stand on the property for gifts. The nearby town is lovely with a great family oriented bar called Babes. Would definately stay again!

Staying at this cabin was truly wonderful! We had an excellent time taking in the beautiful views, and our rescue pup certainly loved looking out the big window in the living room! If you are looking to feel cozy, right at home, and surround yourself in nature this is definitely the place for you. Kevin is an incredibly gracious host, they even coordinated plowing the driveway when we were hit by a winter storm warning (prior to receiving any request from us!). Their guide book of recommendations was also lovely and thoughtful of anything we might need during our stay. We would absolutely come back to this cabin and cannot recommend it enough!

We would love to retire to a property just like this one! It’s beautiful, secluded, a perfect place to unwind for vacation or after a day of work. We are travel nurses and loved every minute of our time there. Bethel is just the most adorable town. It feels like being in a movie. Day trips to several other states and experiences are abundant. It’s a perfect blend of secluded yet in the middle of so much. Big memories to be made here! Hosts are easily reachable and responsive.

The cabin was clean and the location at the lake was pretty. Check in was easy and the cabin is well stocked. It was an easy location to the areas we were sightseeing. There is not a way for you to lock the cabin door at night (just a small eye hook on the screen door) or when you leave during the day which for us was a bit uncomfortable.

If you’re looking for a beautiful peaceful place to stay nestled in Vermont this is the place. Bring your whole family and everyone will find something to do and have a beautiful comfortable place to sleep. This home made us feel cozy and comfortable, if you forgot something the house had it. Looking forward to staying here again!

A really serene spot where you feel immersed in the quiet of the woods. Well built cabin that is cozy from the gas fireplace. This was my second time back at this cabin and would love to return!
