Holiday rentals with a kayak in Nova Scotia

My spouse and I stayed here for a week and would have loved to have stayed longer. It was perfect for the two of us. The property is located along the water and has several outside sitting areas with chairs and lots of lights. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and we appreciated the special treats waiting for us after a very long travel day. It was close to major highways and very close to places where you could find other supplies you may need. Sharon provided all the info we needed for easy access to the property and very quick to respond to any messages. She checked in to see if we needed anything. She was very thoughtful and left lights on for us as we arrived later in the evening. She was a wonderful host.

This tiny home perfectly fit all 4 of our guests, had space to cook and to relax. The provided activities (kayaks, pattle boards, outdoor games etc) were in excellent condition and super convenient and easy to access. Over was a perfect stay!

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

Beautiful and private. The only problem was that the weather wasn’t great for kayaking.

We loved our stay here. Great location for getting to different places. Beds were super comfortable. Nice front porch to sit and relax in the evening. Owners live on the property so you will pass by eachother, they are really friendly.

Our large family enjoyed a 5 night stay at the house and it is easily one of the nicest in our memory of AirBnB homes. There was lots of space for our group and the little kids loved exploring outside. We hosted some extra family one evening for dinner and found everything needed in the well appointed kitchen. The beds were very comfortable too! We loved everything about this home. It's little out of the city but that was ok for us. A memorable trip for us!

Extraordinary property with expansive windows overlooking the lake and a stunning deck for enjoying the view. The interior was both comfortable and stylish, with tasteful designer touches throughout. Outside, the gas fire pit and string lights created a magical setting for evening s’mores. Beds were incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The hosts, Vicky and Steve, were responsive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Note: the steep, unpaved driveway requires AWD—it wasn’t an issue for us and actually added a sense of adventure. There is an alternative place to park vehicles midway for non-AWD vehicles. The only downside was unexpected construction on the lot next door starting Monday, which brought some loud noise. An excavator was moving boulders to clear out space to build a house. Vicky and Steve handled it quickly and graciously with alternative options. Aside from that, the stay was absolutely wonderful.

We had a lovely stay at Melanie's cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything that we needed. (bottle of wine was a nice touch) Melanie was very responsive to our questions and responded right away. The cottage is on a busy street but is relatively quiet when you are on the beautiful front deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the area.

This place is exactly as the listing says. Its clean and the beds are super comfy. It's so cute, it reminds me of my grandmas house. The hot tub was so hot, and didn't lose any heat while we were in it and it was super clean. We will definitely be back.

Great location! Devin was very communicative and quick to reply, which made the stay super smooth. The containers had amazing views, charming decor, and everything you’d need for a relaxing weekend. Highly recommend!

The cottage was exactly what we were hoping for. Tranquility Cove is precisely that, a tranquil spot perched on the edge of the ocean. As a host Bonnie was wonderfully responsive and very gracious. The cottage itself was well appointed with comfortable beds (an essential). Despite the fact that we were there for the coldest and iciest days of February, we were still able to on a series of hikes, so to that end the cottage is perfectly located for people who like to explore the more southernly part of Nova Scotia's gorgeous South Shore. We felt at home and at peace immediately, that sense of comfort permeated our entire stay. I strongly recommend Tranquility Cove as an ideal location for a quiet getaway.

Great hosts, very helpful, kind and responsive. The place is beautiful and it feels like they’ve thought of everything for their guests. I had a great experience overall and will likely be back again 😊

Unfortunately, due to health circumstances, we were unable to stay at Shelly’s place. However, communication with Shelly was excellent, she is very compassionate and understanding, and I look forward to staying at her place in the future.

Absolutely beautiful home and property, we enjoyed every moment of our time here and are planning to stay again! Peaceful, surrounded by water with stunning views, comfy beds, clean and cozy common areas, and the hot tub was a huge hit. Daniel was so responsive to my messages leading up to the trip, and we had zero issues during our stay. I highly recommend booking with Daniel and staying at this spot! We can’t wait to go back!

Dennis’s place was a great retreat while away for work. It’s a beautiful cozy spot right on the river.

Such a magical place to stay! Literally right on the beach on Bra D’ors lake. They’re are four cabins side by side but the stay still felt private and secluded. They even have paddle boards and kayaks to use free of charge! The owners stay on site all summer so they were readily available if I needed anything. Definitely a must stay if you’re looking for a relaxing stay.

Another successful stay at Keith's place. we were visiting family for Thanksgiving and Keith was very accommodating and provided heaters for the chilly weekend weather. Always great to stay at this spot!

What an amazing stay! I highly recommend the stay. The cabin is beautifully secluded with ocean views. It was very clean and had everything you need to relax and unwind. The hosts were very welcoming and were quick to respond. I will definitely be back for another visit!

this is a very special and precious place. extremely intimate, beautiful and quiet. we enjoyed our stay in this cozy nest. lake is fishable with a provincial permit that you can purchase online the only disappointment is that we unfortunately got caught at a high peak of black flies which made impossible for us to spend time outside on the area. we're used to them but it was really out of control this time. better luck next time! We highly recommend the place though, it is really something!

Was looking for a peaceful weekend away and that is exactly what we got! Beautiful and private spot. Scott has clearly put in a lot of effort to make your stay comfortable. The house had absolutely everything we needed. Would definitley stay again.

It was fantastic. A great place to relax, with all the things you need without sleeping outdoors in a tent. :) I actually went fishing from the shore and caught a fish-that was especially fun.. The hot tub is extra special and very clean. Enjoyed it immensely. The only thing I would say that disappointed us, is that the barbeque was out of propane. but overall, I would highly recommend it and definitely go back. Thank you

Rob & Wanda were very accommodating and worked fast to book our family of 4 for a last minute stay. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very comfortable. The property was extremely well maintained. Lots of fun activities offered on site as well. Thank you Rob & Wanda - we had a great time!

This place is a treasure…beautiful flowing river right next to a covered bridge from 1914. Cabin is great with too many cute touches to list. It is a small space but not a problem for two adults. Comfy bed, heat pump a very nice amenity. We would definitely stay there again when visiting the area. Nearby town of Hampton is wonderful place.
