We had a truly wonderful stay! Everything was exactly as described — peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully prepared. We especially appreciated the attention to detail — it’s clear that the hosts care deeply about their guests’ experience. The nature around the place is absolutely beautiful, and the quietness made it feel like a real retreat. Thank you for such a lovely atmosphere. We’d be happy to return someday!

We had a great stay. It was a fantastic location. So dark at night you could see all the stars. Close to Sussex for coffee and meals, and close to poley mountain and hiking trails. Great way to spend a weekend!! The hot tub was also a big plus.

What an amazing stay! I highly recommend the stay. The cabin is beautifully secluded with ocean views. It was very clean and had everything you need to relax and unwind. The hosts were very welcoming and were quick to respond. I will definitely be back for another visit!

Il manque de rien,le spa la douche dehors le paysage et la propreté. Our first word the moment we stepped into the cabin was: "wow!" We were just looking for an intimate way of celebrating my son's birthday, we didn't know we were in for a treat. This place is the epitome of 'home away from home.' Everything about it was well-thought of. Wether one is looking to take a break out of daily routine or craving a relaxing and refreshing weekend getaway, this is a perfect place to be. The hosts were very accommodating and made their presence felt in the smallest of details. They made sure we have everything we need and we are well taken care of without having to be there physically. Upon checking out, we felt like it was a very short stay and we end up wanting to come back rightaway. This place is worth every cent and definitely worth the wait.

Great spot to visit for a weekend getaway! Even though the cabin is attached to their house, the hosts made us feel secluded and welcome.

Highly recommend this beautiful peaceful paradise. We had a wonderful time. View is beautiful, lake is large, dock is perfect and an excellent large front deck and fire pit to sit back and relax.

We had a fantastic stay! Robert was an exceptional host—friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. His hospitality made us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of. The property itself is cozy, charming, and wonderfully private—perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. We especially enjoyed the wood-fired sauna and hot tub, which added a unique and rustic touch to the experience. The wood-fired pizza oven was another highlight—easily some of the best pizza we’ve ever made! We highly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future. Lovely place and a great gateway for the national park! In summer really close beach to go walking and enjoy the ocean

Me and my GF stayed here for 2 nights and from the moment we arrived we felt we made the right choice booking this beautifully located cabin by the lake. Everything was as described. Tina was an exceptional host who made us feel welcomed. This little slice of paradise was secluded enough to offer peace and quiet yet close enough to wolfville and surrounding areas to go out and enjoy some nice food at the local restaurants. Id highly recommend this spot if youre looking for a nice relaxing weekend by the lake to kick back and unwind.

Another successful stay at Keith's place. we were visiting family for Thanksgiving and Keith was very accommodating and provided heaters for the chilly weekend weather. Always great to stay at this spot!

Our stay at Mallard at Church Lake was fantastic! The A-frame design is stunning with beautiful decor throughout. The kitchen setup was perfect, and we loved using the outdoor grill for lakeside meals. As birding enthusiasts, we added many new species to our Life List and learned fascinating details about mallard duck behavior and life cycles. The location is a nature lover's dream. What really set this property apart were the excellent accessibility features (wheelchair ramp, no-threshold shower, seamless floor transitions, etc., which accommodated our disabilities. The hosts were communicative before and during our stay, making everything seamless. We enjoyed canoeing and paddleboarding during the day and incredible stargazing at night under clear skies. This property offers the perfect blend of comfort, accessibility, and natural beauty. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to other travellers, especially those needing accessible accommodations!

An incredibly peaceful location, the view from the cottage is amazing. It was a great weekend getaway and close to lots of trails to soak up the last of the fall sunshine.

this is a very special and precious place. extremely intimate, beautiful and quiet. we enjoyed our stay in this cozy nest. lake is fishable with a provincial permit that you can purchase online the only disappointment is that we unfortunately got caught at a high peak of black flies which made impossible for us to spend time outside on the area. we're used to them but it was really out of control this time. better luck next time! We highly recommend the place though, it is really something!

The chalet was on a lovely lot with trees and greenery. We had a great time, and the laundry made a longer stay very easy. The building is very pretty inside and well finished. Sarah was easy to communicate with, and being a dog friendly place on top of everything else made Cedar Chalet a perfect choice for us.

Lydia was fantastic. She was very kind/friendly/professional, and super responsive and helpful! The place itself was absolutely amazing. The loft, looking out over the trees was beautiful!! The hot tub was an amazing addition. It was such a cozy get-away. We hope to return!

Fantastic find! The cabin itself is utterly adorable, yet has everything you need. Location felt magical - cabin backs onto a little river, there were huge black willow trees and wild flowers and deer prints in the sand. Off the bedroom, there's a completely screened in deck so you can enjoy the nature without all the bugs. Shower pressure is lack luster, but the overall charm of the place was such that I am planning to go back for a longer stay.

James’ cottage was even more beautiful than the pics. Tons of space for our group of 6 & the entire place was spotless. We recommend this cottage to everyone, we had an amazing stay.

This is a beautiful property, inside and out!, exactly as described, the home has everything you need for a relaxing stay, Jeff was an amazing host and answered every question we had about the place and area quickly with accuracy. The walking trails are very well maintained, the view was stunning and we even had a couple of deer pass in front of the cabin today. We really loved our stay at Blaire's place! As we already live in the middle of the woods at home, in NC, driving to get anywhere was not an issue for us. We loved the peaceful nature of it all. There were plenty of amenities, which was very helpful. Even though we travel a lot and Think we have everything, there are always those one or two things you Need, and they were provided! I highly recommend Blair's place if you are looking for a woodsy getaway! That being said, there is So Much to See around the area! We went to Windsor, Halifax, Peggy's Cove, Lunenberg, Pubnico, and scores of places in between. We explored Cape Breton Island on the way to the ferry to Newfoundland, also. Blaire was a wonderful host! You will love this home!!
