Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Northfield

It is a very beautiful and peaceful place, I recommend it, and it is very clean which is one of the most important things about a place.

Overall we very much enjoyed modern rural space. Kiss the Cow farm about 5min drive was amazing& we got most all main food there w/ additional items from Barnard General Store. Spices/ cookware were very good - we brought nonstick pans& 1 knife to supplement. Plenty bowls, measuring cups/spoons, maybe a set of tom collins glasses would be nice albeit stemless wine and rocks glasses available. Needs garlic/onion powder. Tub was amazing/ upstairs bathroom a true getaway/ relaxing space. It was as pictured albeit note spiral staircase &open grated flooring upstairs. Plenty of windows albeit not much cross breeze so think ahead if bring own fan and/or start A/C before get too warm. I would say you must have an SUV year round for this rental - surrounding roads/ driveway are a good distance on rough dirt/gravel - traversable yet a sportier car with low profile tires/ ground clearance would not work. We enjoyed simply walking driveway& East Barnard Rd. Barnard Inn restaurant worth it.

We loved spending our time in Vermont at Bonnie’s place! The house had everything we needed and Bonnie was a great and responsive host. The horses next door were such a treat for our kids to see and the views were beautiful.

Great stay! The place was clean, quiet, and in a very central location. Helena was responsive and made everything easy. Would definitely recommend.

My stay was exactly what I needed. I would actually say the pictures don’t do the space justice! It’s far bigger than depicted in my opinion. I was very comfortable and felt at home when I was there. It was really nice to enjoy walking around Montpelier with Mary Beth’s home as my access point. Very grateful for my stay in this sweet not so tiny home!

Beautiful house! Location was a little remote, but wonderful! Also great yard for dogs and plenty of space for everyone. Would definitely recommend.

“Authentic” is a perfect description. No pretentious fussiness. A farmhouse that has witnessed generations of simple farm living. Quiet. Solid. Warm and inviting. If you’re looking to unwind and “unplug” (although it has seriously great WiFi) this is the place. Nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful valley on a quiet country road with a welcoming and attentive host Hillary. Comfy beds with plenty of cozy blankets, quilts and pillows. Great big farm kitchen. Spacious rooms flooded with natural light from tall windows. The large covered porch creates an additional gathering space to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We loved being able to walk to the farmstand literally right outside our door for fresh eggs and maple syrup for our breakfast!

We've stayed here several times and it has become a home away from home when visiting our daughter. We enjoy staying here because the place is so peaceful, clean, quiet and has all the comforts of home. This will continue to be our place of choice when visiting the area.

We really enjoyed this airbnb, the expansive and peaceful lawn, the apartment with it’s comfortable living room, the family dogs. The host, Rich, was very friendly and welcoming. We had everything we needed and would love to stay there again.

Great place to stay for skiing Sugarbush or Mad River Glen, convenient to restaurants and shops. Very quiet setting, just be prepared for a little bit of non-paved road to climb to access it. The apartment felt more spacious and open than I expected, and accommodated 3 adults quite comfortably. Wax bench was a nice bonus for us skiers!

We had the most fantastic stay with Sheila and Jeremy! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. Sheila was a proactive and responsive communicator. But what stood out to us more than anything were the various thoughtful touches provided during our stay. We arrived late, after a long drive, and Sheila and Jeremy were there to meet us in person and help carry our bags inside. They had fresh muffins waiting and even left some snacks (cheese, crackers, grapes) in the fridge in case we hadn’t eaten dinner. They also provided coffee, tea, milk, honey, which was great in the mornings, and we so appreciated having access to the washer & dryer to do some laundry. Overall, we can’t say enough good things about our stay and we hope to return!

Great communication, easy to check in and easy to find. Hot Tub was perfect. Place was exactly what we needed for our girls weekend!

Loved staying with Sandra and Jason! They are great hosts and did a great job on the Airbnb. We knew there were going to be mosquitoes, but we didn’t know that there were going to be so many, I would advise bringing bug spray. They let us use their kayaks which was an awesome experience. 10/10 would stay again.

Ideal, beautiful location for visiting Middlebury and this gorgeous region of Vermont. The setting by the river is stunning and soothing. The unit is very comfortable and has everything you need. The host is gracious and welcoming. We feel so fortunate to have found this lovely location!

We had a great holiday weekend in Charlotte at Robert's apartment. It was close to the mountains we wanted to climb and a nature preserve where we skied. Close to Burlington and Middlebury where we found dinner each night. The apartment is cozy and comfortable; really a delightful place. We also met Robert who was funny and the perfect host. We stayed during a massive winter storm that dumped so much snow on the area and Robert was always very interested in making sure we could get out of the driveway! There were also thoughtful snacks and what not for us when we arrived which is such a nice bonus. We will definitely check to see if the apartment is available the next time we come to VT. Thank you so much, Robert! We hope to stay with you again soon.

We loved Tim’s apartment for our Stowe ski weekend. It was just as described and in a beautiful setting. Tim was also great to communicate with and very accommodating when we had some last minute changes to our plans. Will definitely stay here again on a return trip - highly recommend!

We just completed our second stay at Ted and Linda’s beautiful and serene cabin! It was as immaculate as the first time we stayed last year. Everything is as described and pictured. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly and responsive hosts. My husband and I are grateful to have found this peaceful cozy cabin in the mountains of Vermont! 10/10

Easy drive from Boston. What I loved most about the cabin is that it is cozy and had an indoor fire option. It rained all weekend, but the cabin was so cozy! We had no qualms about sitting in the hot tub under the rain, and spending the evening in front of the wood burning stove as the rain pattered on. So close to restaurants in South Royalton!

Heidi's place is a wonderful cabin in the woods with all you need to enjoy the nature in Vermont. Super peaceful and the property is well maintained. I would highly recommend staying here to enjoy your vacation!

The view simply amazing. George our host was and he is all the things a good host should be; welcoming, helpful, accommodating, great personality and an awesome dog as well. I will strongly recommend this location if staying on top of a mountain with great views and a warm shower sounds like a great day to you. We stayed in the main cabin and it had everything we needed and then some. Very cool vintage design feel and very clean. Great job George! We will be back!

Super cute area, definitely an authentic rural Vermont stay. Made us feel right at home in the nature. Outhouse made for an interesting new experience, but overall great get away.

Adorable, cozy cabin 10 minutes from Sugarbush ski resort. Very relaxing atmosphere. Well stocked with linens and firewood. Jill left us a little delicious treat. Would stay here again

Wow! This is one magical place. We stayed only one night and it rained but the beauty of the property is remarkable. The mature fruit trees buzz with the sound of their happy occupants and the wide porch allows you to sit in total solitude as you take in the peace and beauty. The cabin is perfect for 2 and has all the amenities you need. We look forward to returning in the future.
