Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Northern Norway

The house is located on a beautiful hill overlooking the ocean & surrounding mountains, but with winter conditions a good car is definitely recommend. It’s cozy & the bedroom with the fireplace and chairs overlooking the area is stunning. Things to improve: Include timber (the owner was so kind & brought us some because we didn’t know we have to bring our own), maybe lower the price a little bit, the check in & checkout times & also making the beds ourselves we hoped it would be included in the amount of money we paid. But that’s only our opinion and we would definitely come back because we felt very comfortable in the house! Good distance to beaches, a nice coastal walk & also Leknes :)

Stein-Ove and Marita are the best possible hosts, as they do their ultimate best to make sure that their guests have a phenomenal experience, in their fabulous house, in the unique environment of Lofoten. What stands out the most, from my view, is that the guests get the real experience of real life in such remote area of the world. This was my and my wife's intention, totally fulfilled beyond expectations, and we will never forget what we saw and how we felt. The house is situated in a magnificent location, between splendid mountains and coastline, and still easily accessible via a road where there is very little traffic, which ensure total peace. We felt what it means to have a family life in Lofoten, basically the experience cannot be more authentic, truly. Needless to say, the house was spotlessly clean and had all facilities to feel at home, e.g. we could use the kitchen to have a peaceful dinner overlooking the ocean. In brief, if you want the real experience, do book this house!

Elin and Hans were friendly hosts. The location was super peaceful & close to the waterfront, the house was so beautiful and cozy, their hospitality was really warm and welcoming including fruits and drinks for us. Highly recommended!

Dear Tina, We loved „Solli“, your arctic paradise at the sea. So much space and light because of the glassfront towards the fjord. Spectacular view and best private Sauna we ever saw. Everything around the house was so easy, thanks also to the perfect information about everything there was to know you and René provided beforehand and your quick responses whenever we had a question. Even though the house is not „infant safe“ we managed pretty good travelling with a 17 month old boy, since there were no stairs inside going down and the upward ones we could block and since it was summer season no need to use the fireplace. Plenty of room to play in the living room. The kitchen was equipped perfetly. Even a bedroom with the greatest view. We stayed with 3 (and a half😉) generations and everyone loved it. Per was an exceptional host! Out of 100 stays, he is by far the best host we have had. Per made sure everything was perfect for the stay. The kids loved the snow on the farm and Per sorted out a sledding hill for them along with all the bits and bobs needed to enjoy the cold weather. He went above and beyond and I am grateful for the hospitality and love that he showed myself, wife, and three kids. Thank you!

We keken enorm uit naar ons verblijf in Noorwegen en de host was steeds bereikbaar. We kozen voor een verblijf in rust en natuur met sauna en hottub. Voor het gebruik hiervan moesten we bijbetalen wat niet zo heel duidelijk staat vermeld. Voor deze prijs misschien wel wat meer hout voorzien want hier kom je zeker niet mee toe en vermits de prijs toch al prijzig is mocht dit er wel onbeperkt inzitten vinden wij. Het huis was proper, ruim en prachtig zicht. Wel een gevaarlijke trap naar boven, vooral het gat naar onder als je boven staat. Kinderen die aan het spelen zijn hebben dit niet altijd in het oog, misschien een omheining voorzien voor de veiligheid! De openhaard is zeker een pluspunt want we houden van deze gezelligheid. We hebben 5 van de 6 nachten het noorderlicht kunnen bewonderen vanop het terras. De keukenuitrusting kan misschien nog iets uitgebreider. We misten een mixer om onze soep te mixen en een vergiet om de spaghetti af te schudden.

These guys were quick to answer questions and remedy the couple things we asked for. Great place and helpful hosts. I wish we had more than one night!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in der.Wojnung..Es war alles wie beschrieben und sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Die Kommunikation mit Emmi war hervorragend.

Nusfjord is a beautiful location. We used it as a base to do several hikes around the island. The house itself is easy to find. Anne Lise was quick to respond. Instructions were clear and check in and out easy. Kitchen stands out in completeness, also the bathroom and shower are a definite plus. Would most definitely recommend!!!

Robert hat uns persönlich und sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Wohnung ist sehr grosszügig geschnitten und äusserst gemütlich eingerichtet und auch für ein längeren Aufenthalt her geeignet. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb wohl gefühlt. Sehr zentral gelegen. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen

We have been lucky to have traveled to a number of Airbnbs around the world; this one is outstanding. The view is stunning, the space is ample and lovely, hosts are gracious, couches and beds comfortable. We loved hiking and exploring the area, and also resting and recuperating in this amazing apartment. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Wir waren 3 Nächte in diesem tollen Haus. Wir würden immer wieder kommen. Es war einfach alles wunderbar. Von der Aussicht bekommt man nie genug. We had a great stay at Miikas house next to the lake. It is the perfect place to calm down and relax! We enjoyed the whirlpool, the sauna and the great 24/7 sun-experience. Thank you Miika to make us feel so comfortable.

Das Haus von Timo liegt direkt am See 20 Meter von der Ylläs Swing entfernt. Die Langlauf-Loipe beginnt direkt vor dem Haus. Äkäslompolo ist ein Langlauf Paradies, für Anfänger und auch ambitionierte Langläufer, hervorragende Präparation der Loipen - ein Paradies! Das Haus von Timo bietet alles: Lage, Ausstattung, Sauna, Dusche, 2 WC, gedeckter Parkplatz, sogar das Holz für das Kamin mit grossem Fenster liegt bereit, es lässt keine Wünsche offen. Einfach grossartig! Da gehen wir wieder hin!

Die Kvalöya Lodge ist eine der schönsten Unterkünfte, die wir je hatten und Ketil der netteste und fürsorglichste Gastgeber, den man sich vorstellen kann. Wir haben besonders die Aussicht auf den Fjord, das abendliche Kaminfeuer, die Nordlichter und Ketils Tipps (Husky Tour mit Active Tromsö, Rentierherde (sie mögen übrigens Möhren), Sommaröy, Eidel Handel (toller Supermarkt für Selbstversorger), Söstrene Kafé in Tromsvik) sehr genossen. Wir hatten zum Schluss sehr viel Schnee - die Landstraße wird zum Glück rund um die Uhr gut geräumt. Schneeschuhe und Spikes stehen den Gästen zur Verfügung.

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

Een prachtig huisje op een prachtige plek aan het meer. Het is net een sprookje zo mooi! Pekka is een fijne host die snel reageert. Echt een aanrader!

Am besten gefallen hat uns die Terrasse, auf der wir die Sonne, die absolute Ruhe und den Ausblick auf den Fluss genießen konnten. Auch bei Regenwetter war es drinnen sehr angenehm - mit Sauna und großen Fenstern zum Rausschauen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
