Stein-Ove and Marita are the best possible hosts, as they do their ultimate best to make sure that their guests have a phenomenal experience, in their fabulous house, in the unique environment of Lofoten. What stands out the most, from my view, is that the guests get the real experience of real life in such remote area of the world. This was my and my wife's intention, totally fulfilled beyond expectations, and we will never forget what we saw and how we felt. The house is situated in a magnificent location, between splendid mountains and coastline, and still easily accessible via a road where there is very little traffic, which ensure total peace. We felt what it means to have a family life in Lofoten, basically the experience cannot be more authentic, truly. Needless to say, the house was spotlessly clean and had all facilities to feel at home, e.g. we could use the kitchen to have a peaceful dinner overlooking the ocean. In brief, if you want the real experience, do book this house!

Great place, location and stay.

This house is a villa! What a space, what a luxury! Bath, sauna, fitness room, everything is available. And then the view: a mighty river runs along the garden. From the living room, you have a good view, great! This house deserves to be booked for several days, so you can use the facilities appropriately and discover the surroundings!

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

The accommodation is very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the port of Torsken and the mountains. It is located right next to a grocery store and a very good restaurant is about 500 meters away. From the accommodation, we did the Midtertinden hike and nearby, we did Sukkertoppen, Middagstind and Smatindan. There are also many other hikes a little further away.

Within ~1 year, this place got 20 five-star reviews. The only reason it hasn't crossed 50 is: Sortland is less popular than mainland Lofoten. The place is not only handled with, but also designed with utmost care. Originally built in 1934, every corner of it carries a meaning that not even an unwatchful guest can ignore. There is family heritage, and there is just the right amount of it. That's where the comfort begins. Living room is smaller than its photos. But with modern furniture & a smart TV, you never run out of indulgence. Kitchen & barbecue hut are well-equipped with utensils and tools for all types of cooking. Bedrooms are comfy, and just right for the cosy cuddles. The grassy, lush outside with a private beach is kept free of bugs by hosts. You can't get enough of the hot tub under starry/green sky! The best part is the proactive hosts who promply fulfill all unmet needs. The house, with all its warmth, keeps luring you. A tough fight against luscious Lofoten!

We were very much looking forward to our stay in Norway and the host was always available. We chose to stay in peace and nature with sauna and hot tub. For the use of this, we had to pay extra which is not very clearly stated. For this price, maybe a little more wood provided because you will certainly not be able to use this and since the price is already pricey anyway, if this is unlimited, we find it. The house was clean, spacious and beautiful view. However, a dangerous staircase, especially the hole down when you are upstairs. Children who are playing do not always have this in mind, maybe a fence provided for safety! The fireplace is definitely a plus because we love this coziness. We were able to admire the northern lights 5 of the 6 nights from the terrace. The kitchen equipment may be a little more extensive. We missed a mixer to mix our soup and a colander to shake off the spaghetti.

We have stayed 8 days in this lovely house. The house is super clean and cozy with the most amazing panoramic view of the water and the mountains. Many different boats and the Hurtigruten sail close by in the Raftsundet. Located in a very quiet place and a good starting point for trips to Lofoten, Vesterålen and Andøy. The last night we saw a flock of porpoises swimming into the sound and the last morning a moose walked and grazed below the house. Geir is the most friendly and pleasant landlord there is. Very helpful and quick to respond. Our best recommendations for Geir and the place.

Cozy little cottage with all the necessities. Very nice reception and smooth check-in and check-out. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay at a quiet location close enough to walk down the street to restaurants. Hosts let me park the motorcycle in the garage, and had the door open and ready for me. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Nusfjord is a beautiful location. We used it as a base to do several hikes around the island. The house itself is easy to find. Anne Lise was quick to respond. Instructions were clear and check in and out easy. Kitchen stands out in completeness, also the bathroom and shower are a definite plus. Would most definitely recommend!!!

It's a studio that has everything. It is decorated with very good taste, which makes the stay, if possible, more pleasant and what to say about the terrace with spectacular views. 100% recommended.👍🥂

A beautiful spot on earth where you would like to spend longer time! The place was spotless and there is everything you need plus a great view of the fjord. You can walk to the beach in three minutes. There were magazines in the property with great tips for hiking and doing. We would come back anytime.

Visited Bente’s fantastic cabin for the 4th or 5th time - we just love the view and the location is very good for ski touring especially in the northern part of the Lyngen area.

The cabin is located in a magical space with most beautiful surroundings. The cabin is very cozy and to sit on the terrace was wonderful. The cabin has everything what one needs. Great outdoor possibilities.

The place was so beautiful! How naturally the cottage and the barbecue area fit into the environment! From the cottage, you could see the lake through the beautifully pruned trees. It was calming to watch the summer life of the water - our time there was filled with sun, fog and rain, which was great. The cottage was very well equipped, clean, cozy, tastefully decorated. The wood was waiting in the wood sauna and at the barbecue area, skillfully arranged. Check-in and communication with Terho went smoothly. Wow, what an amazing experience we had! The house had everything we needed and was super clean. The location was very good and calm, not far away from Leknes Airport. The whirlpool was pure luxury and the view over the mountains and the sea felt like a dream. The communication with Linda was very fast and easy.

We stayed at Nann Kirsti's place for 4 nights. At the very beginning, we felt like home. The open-plan living room with the staircase and the kitchen were very cosy. The whole cottage was very clean and top-equipped. There was a wardrobe in the master bedroom where you could store your things. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with lake views and close to a low frequented street.

Everything about this stay was wonderful. From the beginning, Fredrik was communicative leading up to the stay. He offered advice and recommendations for things to do in the area. This home is immaculately designed and decorated. Very Scandinavian and minimalist design, which is my personal favorite. On top of that, the view is just gorgeous. It was hard to ever leave the home. We hope to come back again one day and stay again.

Jeremias and Mariella's cabin is beautifully located and very lovingly furnished. We really enjoyed the time with them and would go back to this place at any time. They are also very helpful, occasionally inquiring about the well-being, making tour suggestions adapted to the conditions and weather. Thank you so much, both of you...

So peaceful and a great place to relax! I traveled with my 3 year old son and after he was in bed I could enjoy the sauna and the hot tube as the facilities were all in the same place. I could hear him if he woke up. Jenny was such a great host and made our stay absolutely incredible! Great things to do around with kids, from nature trails to theme parks. Highly recommend!
