Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Northern California

This was our second time at Jody's beautiful place. Me and my friends once again felt at home. Easy to comunicate with friendly and attentive host Jody. The house again spotless and with everything you need to have an unforgettable stay. Is so beautiful, private and relaxing that is hard to leave. We are already thinking to return next year. Thank you Jody for sharing your paradise.

This was our third trip to The Ranch House and it never disappoints. Rather, Stephanie has updated several areas that made our experience, this time with a baby, that much better. The updated shower was a big hit with my wife. The water stays hot and the removable shower head makes for a comfortable experience. The bedroom, more spacious now, retained that cozy feeling with a little more room to put up the Pack-'n-Play (very convenient that they have one) so our baby could sleep comfortably at the foot of the bed. The bedding is soft, comfortable and we slept well every night. Personally, I enjoyed the Nespresso and other coffee options and some additions in the kitchen that assisted with dinner prep. Finally, this was our first trip during the summer (early June) and the weather was fabulous. With it being a little warmer, there's plenty of trails that provide shade throughout. What an amazing stay for our family, we can't wait to return!

Really beautiful and comfortable home, well stocked kitchen, beautiful bathroom, and super comfortable bed. Wi-fi worked great which was surprising given how remote it is. There's a little loop for a quick walk but if you want to find some places to hike you have to leave the area though there are lots of options nearby. I also wasn't ready for how intense the mosquitos were so make sure you bring repellent!

It was a perfect place for a girls’ weekend with my long distance friend. The view was absolutely stunning and the place was clean and comfortable.

We have stayed at MANY AirBnB’s, but Jordan’s house FAR OUT WEIGHS THEM ALL! It was an absolutely incredible to see such an attention to detail in every facet of the house. It literally was so well thought out, that it did not feel like a sterile house, but rather a real home. The decor, the cleanliness, the layout, the area gave us so much MORE to love about our stay. Jordan was an incredibly kind & helpful, responsive host! We loved our stay so much, we wished we would have booked a longer stay. But we truly do look forward to coming back and staying here again. Jordan’s Cottage on the Corner is at our TOP of the list for places we would love to return to. Thank you again Jordan!

Paul’s airbnb was a much needed sanctuary for my friend and I midway through a long camping trip. The view was incredible- we saw a pair of eagles and numerous humming birds on the feeder. The beds were comfortable, shower hot with great pressure, and kitchen had everything we needed. Paul is extremely kind and helpful. Do note that the road coming into the house is quite steep

Wish I could post some pictures. We had a couple pregnant deer one morning. Peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Wonderful place to stay. Gualala is relaxed. There are a couple great restaurants. We went with 5 teenagers to young adults (family +1 friend) and there was plenty of room for 7 people. Would definitely stay here again. Host communicated well.

We chose this place based on the photos of the view of Mount Shasta. The photos of the accommodations are accurate. The view was spectacular - just what we were looking for a Mount Shasta stay. This is a tiny home but we were very comfortable. We love to cook so normally the first thing we look at is the kitchen but this time it was the view that was king. We did have some great meals though - just plan ahead. We went to many local natural locations with great waterfalls (Burney Falls) and Lake Shasta Caverns. Just up the road from here we were able to get to 7,000’ on the mountain. Truly fed our souls. Long story short we are John Muir fans and we wanted to be here knowing his story of spending a night in a snow storm on the summit. Beautiful area, beautiful view and cozy place.

Yeshi's home is a museum of colorful artwork from her travels around the world. Wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the ocean waves.

I had a wonderful stay at Steve and Kathryn’s place. The studio was clean, cozy, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. Their directions were clear and made it easy to find the place. Although the studio is located downstairs, it was very quiet—they were incredibly respectful and considerate of guests; I hardly hear any noises at all. The location is also conveniently close to Mount Shasta town. Highly recommended!

Well appointed and private apartment with beautiful surroundings. Great for a couple with everything you could want for a country getaway in Sonoma.

We loved our two nights at Amy’s place with our two pups! I wish we would have planned to stay longer, there was a lot more to explore in the area! It was SO clean. We usually feel like we need to re-clean just to feel ok in Airbnb’s but Amy’s place felt like we were staying at a friend’s place that we trusted. The homemade delivered muffins were a treat and she gave us some awesome local recommendations. The bed was comfortable and it was super quiet!

This place was perfect for my family. It was very clean, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how amazing the view was from the room. The large windows had more than an 180 degree view of the ocean. The sunset from our room was beautiful! The kitchen appliances were great and the room was open and spacious. We would live to come back and stay longer next time.

Great location and accommodation. All round good stay, but should not really be listed to accommodate 3 persons as one will need to sleep in floor.

Chris is a consummate professional as a host. Condo was exactly as pictured, clean and freshly stocked with consumables. His instructions were very detailed and covered everything you could possibly consider. Location was extremely convenient - walking distance to supermarket and close to the entrance to town so easy to hop back on the 395 to check out the surrounding areas. Our kids loved his place. We would definitely stay at this condo again or any of the other Airbnb's that Chris manages.

This stay is absolutely amazing. Comfy bed and furniture. Stocked Kitchen. Steps to the beach. Closet full of beachy things. We had fun flying the kite. Built bonfires just over the dune on the beach. 🏖️ Don’t hesitate to book. This place is it.

Really nice place to stay. Nice location, a few minutes' drive to most activities on the north shore. Full kitchen with more than enough cookware and condiments. Communication is fast and effective. We are a party of two, so the space is more than enough: large beds, and the living room is cozy with a fireplace and a TV where you can watch netflix, youtube, etc. Overall, great experience and strongly recommended!

We had a great time on our Mammoth trip and Shawn’s place was the perfect home base.

We had a fantastic time. The view was second to none, with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. Great coffee shop within walking distance (albeit with a decent hill). We happened to stay when whales were just off the coast and saw them from the shore. Could not have asked for a better day. For those with mobility issues - you do need to climb about 10 narrow steps to get to the tram, which lets you skip the rest of the stairs. But there is no way around those first steps. Would absolutely come back.

Matt was incredibly fast to respond to any questions I had with this booking and also when we arrived. It was spotless, well stocked and super peaceful away from the busy main drag of South Lake Tahoe. He offered lots of instructions on checking in and out and also his favorite places to eat and to hike. It was so great to have access to a washer and dryer as well as we had been hiking for 4 days prior to arriving. I wound highly recommend this rental! It was exceptional!

Beautiful weekend getaway at Sue’s place. Funny enough, I was asking her about the best sunset spot and it turned out we were staying in the house with the best sunset views. The home has cozy vibes and offers a highly experiential stay, with curated items from different places that reflect and celebrate the local culture. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable, allowing for deep sleep and helping us recharge for an active day!
