Family-friendly holiday rentals in North Walsham

Wonderful lodge, beautiful surroundings, outdoor space was excellent. Hosts were proactive in providing any information we might need. The lodge was clean and tidy with a very well equipped kitchen with everything you would need to dine either inside the lodge or in the excellent outside space. Hot tub was clean and easy to use. Secure garden for our dogs was great, they were safe and there was no way of them escaping the garden. Would definitely stay again.

FABULOUS STAY!! ONE OF THE BEST ON AIR-BNB. Stunning location and the home was epic. Gorgeous old farmhouse with all the modern comets. Stayed with our entire family and the kids were so happy. Hot tub, walks and plenty of space to run around. Sarah always responded and was proactive to help us with anything. We even extended our stay we were having so much fun. We will be back.

I have to start by saying what a tremendously attentive host Nikki was with us before and during our fantastic stay at the Rookery Barns (Peregrine)! We were greeted with warmth & a smile by Nikki and shown around the Peregrine Barn we’d booked in the peaceful North Norfolk countryside. Immediate impressions were wow and the photos really do a great job of how luxurious the barn is when you step inside. The kitchen & living area is roomy and warm, plus have everything you need and more! Nikki had supplied a generous welcome basket of milk, tea, cookies, etc and even a couple of Easter eggs 😊 which were gratefully received by our two daughters! The hot tub outside in the back garden was a delight & we all thoroughly enjoyed whiling away the evening in there watching the sunset and listening to the various local fauna. The bathroom and bedrooms are all super stylish, roomy and pristinely clean. The bed’s were a little on the soft/spring side for our personal liking but that’s all! 5

Beautiful place to stay. Nice and clean. All key amenities that you would need. Lovely touches such as tea, coffee, milk, biscuits for a cuppa after a long drive along with things to wash up. Very quiet location, thoroughly enjoyable sat outside with a cup of tea at sunset.

The house is stunning. We were a party of 6 adults and a baby for joint birthday celebrations. The kitchen and lounge layout was superb for cooking, lounging and celebrating and so light with the huge windows making it feel as if the garden and house were one. The bedrooms were all big, the beds and bedding beautiful quality. Showers were great. The layout of the house suited us very well with a good distance between lounge/ kitchen area and bedrooms so as not disturb a sleeping baby in the day or evening. Lots of games left for entertainment in and outside the house. The hot tub and BBQ were a huge hit, easy to light and maintain. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again, really very happy to have found Rumi's Field. Thank you to Alice and Andrew who were so helpful when we had some extra questions before staying.

We stayed over Christmas with four adults and four children, and we had an absolutely amazing time. The house was the perfect size for our group, providing plenty of space and comfort for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and after a bit of quick research on the aga, we were able to cook a flawless Christmas dinner. The hot tub was a fantastic addition—especially for the kids, who would have happily spent the entire day in it if we’d let them! Faye was outstanding from the beginning, offering great recommendations for local pubs for lunch on Christmas Eve and promptly answering any questions we had during our stay. Overall, this was a wonderful experience in a well-equipped property, and we would highly recommend it for a family and friends getaway. Let me know if you’d like any further refinements!

Fabulous cottage, warm and well equipped. Spotlessly clean with everything thing you could think of for a home from home stay. We loved how central it was in Holt yet still peaceful.

Chris and Melissa were perfect hosts. With a very friendly welcome it was nice to meet them as they were away on our last visit. Georgie their sweet dog was very happy to see us and our dog too. The barn is a real sanctuary and beautifully furnished with the best kitchen. Garden is shared with a private corner too. Our dog could wander where he liked as did Georgie. Thanks will return again.

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. A couple of the bedrooms are quite small so not a lot of room for 2 suitcases. Probably suited to 1 person rather than 2! Downstairs was spacious and comfortable. Could do with a couple more larger frying pans. Cooking for 6 with one small pan not ideal! Not really any towel hanging space in the main bathroom. We had 4 sharing this room with one little hanging space which we hung the hand towel on. Meant hanging our towels in the bedrooms over wardrobe doors…common problem in most Airbnb’s to date is the lack of hanging space for towels! But overall we enjoyed our stay and the lemon cake on arrival was delicious and most appreciated. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

it was amazing place to stay johanna and chris where very helpful. the barn was very clean and tidy and the area around the barn was nice and peaceful. we went to some amazing place e.g Sheringham, Hunstanton and wells next the sea. we would highly recommended this place if you are looking for a peaceful time away.

Had a lovely few days in Horning staying in Mandalay. The house is equipped with everything you need and a credit to host Tom. Plenty to explore in the area or just chill out with beer or a vino by the river in the nearby pubs and watch the world go by. Thoroughly enjoyed our break Tom ! Thanks, Tony and Carol

We loved our stay here, house was perfect for us, we parked in view of the house every time. House had everything we needed. Kathy was easy to contact, she had left clear instructions for electric items and lots of info about the area. Would recommend

Great place to stay and an excellent location for visiting this side of Norfolk. Very quiet and peaceful, nice barn conversion with pleanty of room on three floors. Spacious off-street parking and we had use of a large pretty garden. The property was very clean, and had a modern fitted kitchen with excellent appliances. The house, in general, is very well equipped and very comfortable. Small but adequate shower room plus a handy ground floor cloakroom. The host lived next door and was available if needed. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

Nice place clean and tidy. Great super fast broadband and having Netflix is a great bonus although we were out at the lovely beaches most of the time we were there Will consider booking again as we will definitely be coming back to Norfolk.

Our family stayed at one of the beautiful lodges, we were greeted by Steve, what a lovely man, he shew us how to use the amenities, and said if we needed anything , just to ask, he left us to enjoy our 2 night stay, swimming pool amazing, hot tub amazing, our lodge was amazing too, near to the broads where we enjoyed a boat trip, really was the best 2 days, we will be going back sometime in the future Natalie Devereux

Perfect location. Really comfortable space. Everything we needed. Fab having access to the swimming pool. It wasn't busy, so we had relative flexibility to use the pool at the times we wished. Easy access to local places to visit for a great holiday including long walks on beautiful beaches. Would recommend!

had a wonderful family break with my two teenagers. Fantastic location near to the beach, good family entertainment in club house, near to great Yarmouth stadium and seafront.

Great cottage. Spotlessly clean, plenty of room and all of the basics covered. The Goat Shed farm shop & cafe was SO much more than we had expected - fabulous! How wonderful to see a great business thriving. Great range, gorgeous food, amazing staff who went out of their way to help us even when we needed an iron (which was not in their job description). Would recommend everything about The Goat Shed and the accommodation.

A great, homely, caravan with all the facilities we needed. A nice quiet site which is a bit older fashioned and quirky. Beautiful views of the sea and Trimingham beach from the site. Partial sea view from the caravan. Everything was clean and well kept. Nice little pool, clubhouse/bar and cafe on site. Easy access via key safe. Host very communicative and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a weekend away at Aquarius. It was spotlessly clean, and a light, modern style. For a compact space Susan has maximised it so with many homely touches - hooks for towels, wardrobes in each room, space for toiletries in the bathroom, well placed tables, mirrors and a well stocked kitchen. The shower has good pressure and stays plenty warm, and we were glad for hand soap at each sink and toilet paper. Everything was presented beautifully and immaculately, and we were grateful for our welcome pack goodies! The outside space is lovely and a comfortable little sun trap and we found the site to be private and peaceful, we all slept really well. We loved the beach and our 14 and 11 year old children loved exploring there and flying kites. We found it a great base for nearby Southwold and Great Yarmouth and had two fantastic days out. We 100% recommend Aquarius, and Susan as a lovely, friendly host who made it a fantastic AirBnB experience. Thank you!

This is a gorgeous cottage set in the middle of countryside (but easy to get out & about in the car). The kitchen is huge and with everything you need, with several options for outdoor dining to make the most of the lovely garden. Beds are comfy with decent sized rooms, but the standout attraction is of course the pool…heated so that we (with two young kids) could enjoy it for several hours each day of our stay without anyone getting bored or chilly. Lorna & Dean v friendly & helpful hosts. Highly recommend; only caveat - while we had a great weekend here with our toddler in tow, we were outdoors for most of the time; the cottage is decorated beautifully and has flagstone flooring throughout the downstairs which are not always compatible / relaxing with an energetic 2 year old.
