Family-friendly holiday rentals in Norfork

We loved it. We came to the area for hiking and canoeing, and while we didn't get to do a LOT of that because of the weather and rain, we still had a fantastic time because we were able to get away, play games, and just relax. We were really impressed with the cabin. The big front porch was great for watching the rain and drinking coffee. The hot tub was great for relaxation. He had everything we needed, and was super friendly and helpful - thank you Davis! The driveway to get to the house may not be for every person or vehicle, but we did not mind. It was totally doable with 4x4, and Davis has spent a lot of time, money, and effort improving it (and is still working on it even over the weekend we were there) - raging flood waters don't take it easy on anyone. Thanks again Davis, for a fantastic place to get away from everything!

Doug’s place was a welcome retreat for our extended family for Thanksgiving 2024. We had seven adults and 6 kids - all had an amazing time. Here are some things we really liked about Doug’s place: 1. The kitchen was spacious and squeaky clean. There were loads of appliances and helpful kitchen tools to use. Our family was able to prepare our entire Thanksgiving meal in the bright, spacious, and well-equipped space. 2. The huge dining room table easily fit our large party. We loved the dark wood and the contemporary benches to complement our holiday feast. There was also additional seating at the kitchen bar. Lots of room to entertain. 3. The kids, aged 8-16, loved playing in the basement game room. Pool, foosball, basketball, and a large device-compatible screen. The television also has many streaming services. Lots of seating and sports for lounging. The six kids loved it. 4. The hot tub was a nice touch on the cool days and nights. The tub could hold 8 adults easily. Fun times!

Words can’t describe the peace and beauty of this place. I spent so much time at the beautiful creek on property. The pictures do not do it justice. Time spent on screened in porch just listening to water falling off rocks and birds chirping in trees. Such a wonderful stay and Wade was an amazing cohost that was quick to answer any questions. If you are wanting to take a break from the world do yourself a favor and relax at the creek. Thank you for amazing stay!

This space is unlike any other place I have ever rented! I never want to leave. We rented both cabins. Both some cool and unique in their own way. It’s just absolute beautiful !! No wifi gets everyone off their phones and enjoying each other’s company! Board games provided was def a big hit! Most relaxing I have done in years! We will be back!Thanks for having us!

This was my second stay at Ropers campground and again I left feeling peaceful and recharged. I played down at the creek all day searching for rocks and exploring the swimming holes. I fell asleep on the bed on the porch to the sounds the waterfalls and critters in the creek! This place is so magical, clean and most importantly…. Secluded . Wade was very friendly, knowledgeable of the area, helpful and quick to respond to any and all questions. I will be back!

We took a family trip to buffalo and stayed here! The host were very friendly and helped us if we had any questions. It was such a beautiful place to stay. You could hear turkeys in the evening and the porch is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. It’s also super kid friendly my 4 and 3 year old loved it. They had games they could play while we played pool!

going there for years ! a little piece of heaven on the white river. the place is great 30 yards from the river great dock! the fishing is unreal. Walter is the best host!!😄 host.than

The dock is a major plus! Nice little stay. Perfect for those that want to fish the entire time.

A beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean cabin, cozy and big enough for the whole family; quaint enough for a quiet week(end) retreat. Located near Norfork, there’s good fishing or some little shops if your into that kind of thing (Highly recommend a trip to Heidi’s Ugly Cakes). Have a fire in the fire-pit or enjoy the spacious patio and cook-out. There’s always a view of the river even from the two picture windows. We’ll certainly be back!

Cassie was great! The cabin was very private but convenient to everything! Accommodations and amenities were perfect. Plan on coming back yearly!!

Rocking Chair Resort was perfect for our stay near Lake Norfork. Jane was helpful as I was looking for last minute availability on a busy weekend. The cabin was clean and comfortable!

A lovely home with rocking chairs on the deck and enclosed porch, a large kitchen, streaming television, comfortable beds, and plenty of bathrooms. One of those rare locations at which pets are welcome. Great place for a multi-family getaway!
