Cabin holiday rentals in Newton County

This cabin was in the perfect location for all of the best hiking and kayaking in the area. It's very remote, but lots of food options 30 min away. The cabin itself was adorable and cozy, it was very clean and well kept. The basement was perfect for sleeping. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at the Knotty Pine cabin. It was by far one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at. Everything was spotless and the amenities were outstanding. So many extras- from the coffee bar, to the s’mores kit & snack basket, the host went above and beyond to make this the perfect cozy cabin with everything you need! Our favorite was the outdoor space. It rained several times during our stay, but we were still able to enjoy the fireplace & hot tub out on the covered deck. It was so relaxing after a day of kayaking and hiking. Jasper is a cute little town with several places to eat and a grocery store if you decide to cook at the cabin. We visited the Ozark Cafe, the local pizza joint, and Low Gap Cafe. All were good. We also grilled steaks out on the Traeger our last night there. It was perfect! We’re already looking forward to planning our next visit!

Lindsey and Heidi’s cabin was such a charming gem of a place. It was clean, cozy, peaceful, and very private! A perfect couples retreat. Her kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook full meals. My favorite detail were the white waffle knit robes. I brought clothes to wear but probably didn’t need to because I pretty much lived in the robes my entire stay!! The hosts were so responsive to my questions and even suggested some local activities that were happening the weekend we were there, which was great! I highly recommend their cabin if you are looking for a place near the Buffalo River!

We had a great time. The place was very clean and kept up. Recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Also only 8 min from Hasty access to Buffalo River.

This location was the perfect spot for our girls getaway. Between the privacy, fire pit, and hot tub we had our own piece of heaven. The views in this area are breathtaking. Plenty of room and amenities!

The sunrise is supreme. The cabin details were well thought out and they had almost anything you could want. The kitchen is well stocked with extras like oil, coffee, filters, sandwich bags, and plastic cutlery. Sharp knives, Ninja coffee maker, laundry supplies, a lighter for the stove/grill/fire pit, and more. The AC worked well. The storms caused a tree to fall over the driveway and flooded out the hot tub. They were quick to answer and address the issues we had related to the storm. The turn-off is a bit unexpected, so read the access instructions carefully before you get there. It was easy to find with the instructions provided. The location was perfectly central to everything we wanted to do: Buffalo River, MTB at Ponca/Upper Buffalo, waterfalls south of Jasper, hiking and fishing, and Horseshoe Canyon Ranch (definitely look into the Via Ferrata!!!) We will absolutely stay here again.

By far the most well appointed Airbnb we’ve every stayed in anywhere in the world. Whitney & Tom truly thought of everything! From Dyson blow dryers to the Nespresso maker to every kitchen utensil, spice, glassware, serving dishes, and multiple large cutting boards. Truly just show up and begin your vacation. Everything including the hot tub were impeccably clean. Will look forward to staying here again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning home that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the sweeping views of the mountains—a breathtaking backdrop that made every morning feel like a scene from a movie. This place offered the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

Very comfortable and clean cabin in a beautiful setting. The area is peaceful and quiet with good food nearby. The owners are friendly and helpful. Enjoy hiking and experience the wonderful scenery of the Ozark region. We were very happy with our stay here!

Heather Hill was a great and quiet place to wrap up our paddling trip on the Buffalo River! Clint’s place is just a couple of minutes from the Pruitt River access. We really enjoyed relaxing on the front porch and taking in the tranquility after a great float!

Great place to stay to float the Buffalo River! The driveway is a bit steep, but easy to navigate as long as you take it slow. Beds are super comfortable and was the perfect getaway for my family and friends. We will definitely be back!

This was a great place to stay. Beautiful countryside and amazing views of the mountains. Plenty of space for our 3 dogs to roam. Loved the outdoor grill and outdoor fire pit. We used both and had no problems. John was in communication with us for anything happening while we stayed there. Besides the free wifi we did have great cell service on the hill. Kitchen was well stocked with spices and supplies of all sorts. We will be coming back.

We planned this as a 4-day waterfall chasing adventure and Dennis and Naomi were incredibly helpful in accommodating our needs, providing us with a list of the 5 best waterfalls to see and providing us with several interactive maps that were developed by a notable "waterfall chaser". As our rental period approached, the weather forecast showed cold and rainy for our entire 4-day stay. We decided to follow through with the rental and Dennis provided additional tips on hiking in the rain. Then, I threw out my back the day before our trip was to start, but once again we decided to follow through. We arrived late at night but with Dennis' guidance were able to find Big Oak Cabin with no trouble at all. Dennis further assisted by providing a list of the 5 best short and easy waterfall trails. Dennis was extremely responsive to other requests for assistance. The vacation turned out to be one of the most memorable we've had. thank you Dennis and Naomi!!

The owner was very communicative and helpful. He was responsive to our questions about the area and gave us great advice. Our stay, which included two families (total of 10 individuals) stayed very comfortably in this space. We enjoyed being able to cook out and do a campfire/smores with the kids. Firewood was available with a fire pit, which was convenient. The kids loved playing games in the game room when they needed something to do. The porch had a picture perfect view of the mountains, and we loved being able to lounge, have coffee, and chat. Our trip to Falling Water Falls was a huge hit with everyone. We swam there most of the day and explored the area. Anyone traveling in this area should be aware of ticks and how to prepare/manage while exploring the area. Overall, we would love to return.

Really loved this cabin! Great view. The wood ceiling, the double sided fire place, the porch….ALL were great. The only down side for us was the drive way. We were on motorcycles & the drive is loose thick gravel & steep. I wouldn’t let it deter anyone from renting this gem….just beware & be prepared.

We had the pleasure of meeting Chay after I fumbled our checkout date! He arrived while we were packing up. I tried to extend our stay one day, but Chay had others guests arriving that evening. He was the most helpful in our situation. He looked up alternate accommodations and even offered us his personal cabin if checking out earlier than expected was going to put us in a bind. Chay was exceptional host. He provided us information, books, maps, and offered suggestions before we even asked. He kept us informed of local water levels and things you may not even think of. Would definitely stay here again. I would give it 10 stars if I could! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wow - this cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Inside it was warm, spotless, and beautifully decorated - a perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The cabin had every amenity we could need - a well-equipped kitchen, plush bedding, and even a welcome snack of fresh baked bread we removed from the bread maker upon arriving. Our host was outstanding: responsive, kind, and clearly passionate about creating a great experience. They provided detailed check-in instructions and excellent local recommendations. This cabin was the ideal place to unplug, relax, and recharge. We can't wait to come back.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It is very secluded and the view is phenomenal. We hiked one day and went on a jeep ride the other, and I wish we had one more day to just stay put and play board games and enjoy the views. Very clean, and the host was very helpful. We will definitely be back in the fall! 10/10 recommend! 🤌🏼 everything you need and more is provided except for a microwave, but we just used the stove. No biggie. Thanks for your hospitality!

Our stay at Bearly Earth Retreat was so relaxing and peaceful. The host gave us tips on what to do around the beautiful property, including nature hikes and when to look for bears at the wildlife feeder that has a camera view through YouTube. The cabin was spacious enough for our group of four adults and two teenagers to be comfortable and to enjoy time playing cards and dominoes, reading, and relaxing around the firepit. The cabin decor is fitting with the surrounding nature. The kitchen had every amenity we needed to prepare meals, and we even enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast from the resident chickens. Hiking in the Ozark National Forest and kayaking on the Buffalo River are within an hour's drive, so there is plenty to see and do around the area. We also took the short drive into the little town of Jasper for pizza one evening. Our group sure enjoyed our stay at Bearly Earth Retreat!

We had a wonderful stay at Scenic Hideaway in Jasper, Arkansas! The mountain views were breathtaking, and the cabin was clean, cozy, and well maintained. It had everything we needed for a peaceful anniversary getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks!

We had a great stay and the property was better than the photos. The nearest neighbors are a ways down the hill and everyone we spoke to when they drove by was friendly. Hwy 7 did have some traffic and there was an occasional truck decelerating, but it wasn't a constant background noise and there are trees and a bit of hill in between. No problems with anything as far as accommodations, everything worked fine. It was nice that the deck had latching gates so we didn't need to worry about out two Huskies rejoining nature. The propane grill worked well enough to make some nice prime ribeyes. Rigewood Brother's BBQ in Harrison had some of the best BBQ I've had. It took us a few minutes to get the TV set up to our liking and the internet speed is barely enough as there is occasional buffering on Netflix but that is not why we picked this place. It is an awsome property with a sweet deck, view and a comfortable interior. Its location south of Jasper worked out great for us as well.

Newly referbished cozy cabin that felt like home. Very, very clean and lots of thoughtfull touches by the owners. If you, yourself, bought a cabin in the woods, you would want it to feel like this one. All of the activities of Newton County and the Buffalo River are just minutes away. Jasper is a delight and urges you to put the phone away and look around and see what the 1940's - 1950's were like. If you are there to float, you can always rent from the big companies, but do yourself a favor and rent from Lost Valley Canoe in Ponca. They operate out of an old general store and are the most friendly, genuine and helpful people around. Here's to another great long weekend in Newton County!
