Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Newlands

Such a beautiful home, with so many thoughtful extras. It is very central, yet extremely quiet. We were able to park in the garage. Very good value for money. We had a great weekend!

We stayed at 40 Kildare for the Two Oceans Marathon weekend - it was absolutely perfect. Tranquil, and such a lovely place to stay. Andrew was very easy to communicate with and made sure that we were able to enjoy the cottage as easily as possible.

This is our second stay with Derek. Once again, another amazing stay in their beautiful home. Pretty, was just the best and made us feel at home and so welcome. Derek was super responsive and accommodating. This is very quickly becoming our go-to AirBnB in Cape Town, with an annual family pilgrimage thrown in for good measure. Looking forward to our next stay!

Was a lovely stay. Well located to the major city spots. The hosts were really responsive . They are also very accommodating from start to finish and allowed flexible check-in and check out. The whole family was warm and welcoming. Allowed me to easily feel at home during my stay. Overall a nice home-away from home experience.

Deirdré’s guest accommodation was perfect. Everything was clean, tastefully decorated and there was everything you would need (and more) for a super-comfortable stay. The house was spacious and had an indoor fireplace, with plenty of wood supplied, and an outdoor long table and braai. It also had a lovely garden and great views of the mountain, especially from upstairs. Deirdré was a lovely host. She was responsive, accommodating and kind. There were clear instructions for self-check-in and detailed notes on how everything in the house works. All in all, a wonderful space, and we would definitely book again. An easy 5 out of 5 stars!

Everything we needed for our 2 year old was there including crib, feeding chair, toys, eating bowls and utensils etc

The cottage is nestled on a tree-lined street in upper Claremont, just a short ride from shops and restaurants. A high wall surrounds the private garden and off-street carport, keeping you safe and secure. The cottage is spacious indeed, with its vaulted ceiling from the French doors across the open plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. The TV is big, and you can watch most of your shows on Netflix and YouTube. Light pours in through the side windows. The kitchen is well-appointed, and it's easy to prepare meals. Two steps up lead you to the bath and bedroom. The shower has a strong stream of abundant water, and there’s a generous bathtub. The bedroom is private, with lots of storage and a comfortable bed. The air-con is welcome on hot days and nights. There are two wicker chairs under the covered porch to enjoy the sunshine. Both Lara and Lizl were very responsive to our needs and were kind and helpful. We were very happy there and we think you will be too.

A beautiful, pristine apartment in a beautiful part of Newlands. Cavendish Square and numerous restaurants are within walking distance. Excellent, prompt communication on check-in and check-out procedures. Highly recommended.

Diane was an incredible host, and made a plan for a very last minute booking. Incredible host, would definitely go back!

Great stay, only thing to watch out for is that a large vehicle/4x4 might not fit in the garage as I had a small car and it was a squeeze. Also Google maps has it marked across the street from where the house actually is.

The host was very friendly and understanding, he made sure I was comfortable. He was always available for my questions on the app. My stay was short but I will definitely book again.

I enjoyed comfortabke week stay, easy to take exit on Grove st to Cavendish, unobstructed view, good hosts.

Great little AirBnb, with easy access into the city. We loved our time there and would definitely re-book when we’re back in SA.

The place was spotless, and security excellent. If you want to get to restaurants and amenities they are a short drive away. As a woman travelling alone, I felt very safe and the apartment had everything I needed for a a pleasant stay. The owner lives around the corner which put my mind at ease in terms of assistance being close by.

Stayed at Leo’s place for 4 nights. Timon was assisting us throughout. Very helpful. Always replied to our any questions at any time. We weren’t able to operate the heater, so he came down specially to show us and made a video also got an extra electric heater if we still can’t operate the manual one. Loved the place. It’s just perfect for 2 people and has everything you need for a comfortable stay with gorgeous views and near to all the restaurants and supermarkets We had a great time :)

Home away from home. What a beautiful place. We really enjoyed our short stay. Would definitely recommend. Big ups to Sean for the amazing hospitality and communication throughout.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ruth’s apartment. Charmingly decorated and beautifully sunny which made us feel right at home. A lovely little deck for early morning coffees and late afternoon drinks. Enjoyed waking up in the mornings to the mountain views from the kitchen and lounge areas and even enjoyed hearing the scholars being dropped off for school ( a school close by). Apartment was equipped with all we required. After a day out and about we loved returning to our little home for the week! Off street parking is provided as stated in listing - just to point out that it is a bit steep, but manageable. Thank you Ruth - we hope to be back! Best wishes, Antoinette and Dana
