William was a great host and the apartment was perfect for what we needed! So conveniently located, spacious and comfortable.

This is a beautiful place to stay and I would say better than expected. Everything was very clean, the furnishings were beautiful and relaxing... and there was fruit, scones and croissants waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. The bed and bedding was very comfortable upstairs with a cute kitchen and dinette downstairs. Bri met us at the door when we arrived to give us the key. My best friend and I travel together and enjoy trying out new places. I highly recommend staying here :)

This was our second stay with Merry. A perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! She is a wonderful host and her property is lovely! Proximity to downtown makes it a nice short walk to shops, bars, and restaurants. Deer Creek trail is a short hike as well and a beautiful experience. We told Merry we were going to a concert in the park and she provided us with folding chairs, which made our experience perfect! We visit NV City a couple of times each year and Merry's Garden Suite is our new favorite!

My husband and I loved our stay here. Very peaceful with a lovely view of the forest! Hosts were kind and responsive. We would stay here again 🩷

#2 One of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at! Peggy was a gracious and thoughtful host—she greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and stayed in touch throughout our stay. We brought our puppy and arranged a sitter for the wedding weekend, but Peggy even helped cover a gap and let our pup play with her dog when the sitter had to run out. The fenced yard, private entrance, and peaceful setting made it the most dog-friendly trip we’ve ever had. The home was spotless, the bed and couch were super comfy, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub and on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location couldn’t be better—an easy 10-minute walk into charming downtown Nevada City for dinner and breakfast. 10/10—would absolutely stay again!

In the heart of Nevada City, several great restaurants within a block, stocked kitchen, filtered water in the fridge, clean fluffy linens, Yoga gear and meditation cushions for your personal practice. it was a sweet spot to stay.

This was a great AirBnB for our weekend trip in Nevada City. The location in the middle of downtown is perfect for being able to walk to restaurants and other downtown activities. Would stay there again!

Such a wonderful and peaceful location. A very welcoming environment, to be sure. I enjoyed every brief moment, even though I had to leave early for work. I don’t get many vacations, but Vanessa really helped me appreciate the brief time that I had. I look forward to going back. Thanks so much!

We had so much fun! This is such a good area and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay for our friends wedding. A reminder that this is a ~cabin~ in nature; if you’re not into that, maybe take a pass!

Wow. What an absolutely darling apartment! Rebekah was a great host, she made sure to communicate with me ahead of my stay, left very clear instructions, and was very responsive. As for the space itself, just wonderful. It's in a beautiful converted Victorian right in the heart of downtown Nevada City. We were able to find free parking nearby and walk everywhere we needed to go. It was quiet and peaceful at night. The balcony was a great place to hang out, and the flowers nearby smelled so good! The apartment is beautifully decorated and so charming! Very cozy as well. The bed was comfy, and I appreciated that it had a desk where I could do my makeup. If I could change anything about it, I would suggest perhaps putting up curtains (especially in the bathroom) for more of a feeling of privacy. But overall, we loved it so much and wished we had booked an extra night. I would absolutely stay here again. Thanks, Rebekah!

Lots of space. Comfortable furniture/beds. Great kitchen, stoves, dishwashers! They all work perfectly. Easy to do laundry too! Host is very nice, and easy to contact.

The Puppet Inn met every expectation we had for our anniversary / woodcarving retreat stay. Marisa, Ray, and Corinne have created a wonderful little getaway space that was a joy to stay in. We had complete privacy, yet we were just steps away from the workshop where Ray’s 3-day Beginners’ Woodcarving Retreat was held. The decor was comfortable and homey, and we loved the Pinocchio/Gepetto-theming; it’s perfect. As we are “Disnerds” ourselves, all of the Disney touches were appreciated. Everything was clean and tidy, and well-maintained. The well-equipped kitchen made it easy to plan and prepare meals when we stayed in. We tried a recommended local restaurant (Alloro Cucina Italiana) in Grass Valley for our anniversary dinner and it was fantastic! Corinne graciously provided us with a lovely dessert after dinner, which was just perfect and most appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts or for a nicer place to stay. We hope to return for another visit soon! Thank you!!

Elizabeth is wonderful. The accommodations were everything we could have wanted or needed.

Barbara was very warm and gracious and wanted us to feel at home in the studio. The studio is very spacious and everything in it is very high quality, often using distinctive natural materials - I particularly loved the bathroom and shower. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bed was very, very comfortable. There is the treat of a walk-in closet, and the fact Barbara and Richard provide yoga mats (that really made me smile as I would have packed my yoga mat if I could have!) and pool towels an example of their thoughtfulness and the luxury feel of our stay. The location is tranquil - you feel you are 'coming aside' from busyness. And the pool is beautiful - it was delightful to be able to refresh ourselves after our long journey! The studio itself was miraculously cool even while the temperatures outside were so very hot. As you can tell, we really really enjoyed our stay! Thank you very much Barbara and Richard!

This home was a fantastic place to stay, clean, well-appointed, and full of charm. The bed was especially cozy, making it easy to relax after a full day out. While parking took a little extra effort, the unbeatable location made it well worth it. I’d gladly return!

Staying with Danny & Joanie was like staying with old friends. Communication was quick, clear, friendly & welcoming. Close to town feeling worlds away. Their place was as described. The pictures cannot encompass the serenity or breathtaking beauty of the panoramic views from the large deck. The swimming hole was absolutely amazing! They had numerous sitting areas by the water & it was exquisitely peaceful. The water was so refreshing on a warm summer day & the waterfalls & pools were simply gorgeous. That swim was certainly one of the highlights of our journey, as was meeting Danny & Joanie. They were so kind & thoughtful, making sure all our needs were met without ever being intrusive. The bed & couch were comfy. The kitchen & bathroom had all the essentials along with many little touches like flashlights by each bedside. We enjoyed meals out on the expansive deck. We left refreshed & feeling we had 2 new, wonderful friends. We highly recommend their place for a comfy & relaxing stay.

Perfect quiet getaway for a couple with an AMAZING view. If you need to take a breathe....this is your place!
