Ryokan holiday rentals in Nagano

We had a little trouble getting there by train... but as soon as we arrived, our worries disappeared. We were greeted by Miwa's mother who was immediately very kind and inviting. She gave us a tour of the accommodation with explanations. She speaks only a little English, but she used her phone to translate for us, which was very much appreciated. During the rest of the stay, she was always available to answer our questions. We also did business with her for the rental of electric bicycles, a very pleasant activity. On our last evening, Miwa's mom even came to offer us a homemade dessert. The accommodation itself is a traditional house that is too cute and very spacious. In short, a great experience, we loved it. ❤️

We loved it. The house is huge, well equipped and everything was clean. You do need a car but it’s easy to get around. Ryo communicated extremely well (in English) and gave great recommandations. We would go back again.

Very nice place to stay right at the entrance to Shiga Kogen and the Snow Monkey park. The onsen is very nice and there's also a private one you can use without reservation. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

This is a great place to stay - Yukie-san was very helpful and kind and the location is perfect for walking, cycling and exploring. There's a great place to eat (and drink!) called Tono just around the corner too! The former dying workshop has been very well restored as accommodation. There are e-bikes available to rent for a very nominal fee too. I hope to come again.

Seong Mi and Yoshi are the best ! They really take care of their hostel as well as their hosts. They gave me plenty of recommendations and advices. They also made sure I had everything I needed. I felt very welcoming here ! The room is perfect for a stay in Yudanaka. Their partnerships with Onsens around are a great way to enjoy different baths. In my opinion, it's even better than having their own Onsen inside the hostel. All the shared spaces are clean and well furnished. It's the perfect place to enjoy a traditional woodhouse. The location is also great, close by foot to the convenience store, drugstore, local restaurants and to the train station / bus hub. It makes it easy to go to any major spot in the area, from Nagano city center to the hiking trails / ski centers of Shiga Kogen. Just book it here and enjoy a peaceful time in Yudanaka 🙏

We spent a single night in Yutaro's beautiful traditional house. Lots of space available and I really liked the traditional side of this house. The environment is very quiet and relaxing. Thanks for the great time. I would recommend this house.
