Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nagano

Haruo’s place is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with easy access to highways and attractions nearby Yamanashi! The traditional Japanese house with beautiful backyard (with views of the mt Fuji when weather allows) is all you need for a great getaway! Haruo is very friendly and greeted us on arrival and gave us nearby recommendations for places to see and eat! We would definitely be back whenever we visit yamanashi again!

以前利用したことがあり、今回はチェックインの場所が別のところになっていましたが、事前にその旨の案内もあり、また、大変スムーズでした。 とてもきれいで眺めも美しく、案内もわかりやすかったです。 宿泊する人数が多めでしたが、アミニティや食器が足りるように、とても丁寧に対応してくださいました。 おかげで大変気持ちよく過ごすことができました。

We had a fantastic time at this Airbnb! The location is perfect for those seeking adventure with family and friends, offering a great balance of nature and comfort. The large room on the second floor was spacious enough to accommodate our group of 10 comfortably. The highlight of our stay was definitely the private onsen—it was absolutely amazing! Being able to enjoy a relaxing soak every day made our trip extra special. The onsen is large enough to fit multiple people, but if you only need a quick shower, you’ll have to take turns using it. The house is heated using a gasoline heater, which worked fine for us, but it’s good to be aware of this in advance. Overall, we loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy yet adventurous getaway!

Great location, quick response, but feels like a corporation - they make you feel out other forms, and pay for extra towels. Kind of weird. But, overall absolutely beautiful and a great place

友人9人で宿泊利用させていただきました。 BBQもでき、なんといってもサウナが利用できたのが最高だった（水風呂、整いスペースも有り） 中は趣のある木造の造りの部屋でとても落ち着いた。大の大人9人でも広々できる。 一つだけ苦労したところは、宿が少し入り込んだ場所にあったので探しづらかったです。外観を良く覚えておくと探しやすいと思います。

Alex and Rie are kind and considerate hosts and Thunderbird Cottage is a great base for skiing around Hakuba with a family / group. The car with ski rack is a big advantage for getting around to ski resorts and restaurants / shops. The cottage and car together are good value if you are looking for a peaceful environment that’s close to everything you need. Alex and Rie provided very helpful info that assisted our plans in and around Hakuba.

2日間お世話になりました！ 2歳3歳5歳の5人家族での旅行でしたが近くに草津温泉あったのにも関わらず宿の温泉で充分なぐらい最高でした！子どもがいて周りの目も気にせずゆっくり入れました！また温泉も一切ヌルッとした所がなく非常に清潔でした！（排水溝詰まりやすくそこが残念でした。私達の髪の毛数本で2日目は詰まってしまいました。）ですが排水溝以外は本当に大満足です！シャンプーリンス等もとても良い匂いでした（笑）虫苦手な人は…と書いてありましたがしっかり対策されてるおかげで虫嫌いな私でも宿の中には一切虫が出ずに安心して楽しめました！子ども達は大好きですが（笑）布団も寝心地よく充分な睡眠取れました。聞きたい事など聞きやすく（大した事ないのですが）ホストの方の返信が早く迅速な対応して頂けて安心しました。また草津に来た時はここに泊まりたいと思えたし友達・親戚にも是非おすすめしたいと思います☆

One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had across many countries and years. Had a group of six of us stay. Patrick coordinated with us to pick us up from the station, offered to drive us to gather groceries, and made time to drop us off when we left. Took time to make sure we were comfortable, understood how to use the homes features, and gave us plenty of information on what to do in the area, even down to giving us updates on mountain weather each morning and making recommendations on which ski field to go to each day based on changing weather conditions. He was invaluable and a super friendly and helpful host. Thanks mate! See you next time!

Had an awesome stay at Mark’s place, he was very hospitable, picked us up from the station and dropped us back off afterwards. The house was great and cosy and having the car made it really helpful to get around Hakuba. Definitely recommend to anyone staying here

Logement atypique mais completement adapté et équipé pour notre petite famille (2 adultes + 1 enfant). On a même eu le petit déjeuner offert ! Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la terrasse car il faisait encore frais mais c'était agréable de pouvoir y accéder. Kunimi a été très gentil et nous a prêté gratuitement des vélo (avec sièges bébés) pour visiter Matsumoto. La proximité avec le Koboyama tumulus (à la saison des cerisiers en fleurs) est un plus !

What a beautiful stay in Hakuba. Exceeded our expectations. Greg was an amazing host, super friendly and helpful, and full of local knowledge and recommendations. The rental car included was fantastic. We loved our stay and will definitely be back! 😊

Had a great couple of days at Nick & Hiro's. The architecture was beautiful and place was pristine, 50m away was a nice bar you could relax at as well. The address was hard to find with apple google maps but Nick was quick to drive to us and assist for check-in. Big ups Nick it was a pleasure.

家族４人で２泊しました。広さもちょうど良く、清潔で気持ちよく使用させていただきました。バーベキューもテラスで楽しくできました。

We enjoyed our stay. The house was as described, while compact is was slightly larger than I had envisaged. Definitely well located in Echoland. Desmond and his team provided complimentary transfers too and from Hakuba Station which was greatly appreciated. From my research Hannas house provide good value for money. I would recommend Hannas house with a few caveats, the stairs to the second level are very steep so maybe not great for very young children or if you are less mobile. We were lucky to have significant snow falls which meant that quite a bit of shovelling was required to keep the entry clear and the driveway accessible if you are considering hiring a car.

We stayed in "green season". The accommodation is lovely, clean and very quiet. It is about a 20 minute walk from the main area of Happo/gondola and around 40-50 minutes from Hakuba train station which for us was not a problem but is something to bear in mind. I think in ski season there would be more bars/restaurants open directly local to the property and there are shuttle buses in winter so maybe not so much of an issue then. Darren was very responsive and Grant was great with rides to/from the train station at the start and end of our stay. Overall, would recommend.

I love this place. Everything is perfect!! We stayed 2 nights there with 2 kids. Peter & Shiho’s place is wonderful for family stay. Location is good easy to find and getting around. We have cooked dinner at home once. Kitchen equipment and tableware is ready to use (only knife that not so sharp😅) When I shared this place on social media, any of friend asked and would to follow me to stay here. Peter is friendly and quite attentive to support he come to meet us twice. We would like to come back again ❤️

一泊の利用でした。 高速の渋滞や観光でチェックインの時間が遅れましたが連絡するとすぐに返信をくれ柔軟に対応していただきました。 施設内はすごく綺麗でよかったです。 ツルヤや近くのお肉屋さんで買い出しをして、自分たちで自炊しました。 トンボの湯も近く、大変よかったです。 軽井沢に旅行で来た時はまた利用したいと思いました。ありがとうございました。

We really enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable lodge in the beautfiul mountain scenery. The owner himself is also very friendly and helpful. When a member of our group lost something in Kijimadaira village, he drove us to the town to pick it up and back to the lodge again. We warmly recommend this airbnb to any tourists visiting Kijimadaira.

This is a wonderful ski town, and that brought me the nostalgia of my youth, where the ski resorts are simple, walkable, and cozy. If you want to revive those experiences, this is the place. The hosts were wonderful, and we felt at home. Many thanks for a great stay. Next time, I will bring my skis and stay during the winter.

This was our second time staying at Koichiro’s place. We love coming here! So warm and cozy in the cold weather. The place is really clean and comfortable with everything you need.
