Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Na h-Eileanan an Iar

This was one of the best places we’ve stayed in the world- it’s at the far end of sky - just a few working farms, converted vacation homes, artists and mostly sheep. The views are absolutely amazing. Rain or shine, the sun room offers amazing views. You can walk right out of the home on one of the most amazing hikes continuing to Neist point. The house was extremely comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. Everything was first class. There was even a wonderful gift basket with some delightful treats. Washer dryer, and other appliances worked well and the shower was excellent. We did not try the hot tub, but it looked nice. The grounds were also beautiful. It worked extremely well for my wife and I and my two senior parents. There’s so much to do nearby, but we didn’t want to leave. Spent five nights in May. Glendale nearby has all the necessary amenities. A fun place to spend a week, would definitely come back! Truly, a hidden treasure.

Really comfortable, well-organised place on a beautiful part of Skye. On a quieter side of the island, but still convenient with a local grocer and few other food options around. Would stay again.

We used Evelyn's place as a base for exploring the Northern part of Skye. The view and sense of space were worth every penny. When it was warm sitting on top of the hill behind the house was a great viewpoint and when it was too cold to sit outside the view from the main room was brilliant. I would not hesitate to recommend Mackay House as a warm inviting space to to base a visit to Lewis and Harris. The property is well equipped throughout. Christina the host was very kind and attentive from the outset: the moment that we arrived she made us feel welcome and went to the trouble of explaining how the household appliances worked to ensure our comfort.

Exceeded expectations, everything about Tigh na Beart was wonderful - the clean, tidy and tasteful decor, comfy bed and linen, all the necessary equipment and utensils, the easy walk to the nearby beach and friendly neighbours. Cannot say enough about how nice the place is Thank you again Joey and Alasdair for a fantastic stay !

Iain and Ingrid were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Their place is a lovely, peaceful oasis. The cabin was pristinely clean, charming and cozy, and the gardens full of flowers and birds made us feel that we were living in a fairy tale! Their place is close to lots of outdoor activities. We are already planning our next stay.

A gem of a place in a super convenient location. Richard was an excellent host. We were in bicycles so being walkable to the supermarket and downtown was important. The house was very tidy and had everything you’d need. Comfy couches and beds and lots of thoughtful touches. Highly recommend to families like ours but I reckon it might even be better without the kids 😉

We had a wonderful stay at Nicholas’s studio. It’s an incredibly peaceful area and a great place to explore the rest of Skye from. Nicholas was also particularly kind and accommodating which we were so grateful for. Highly recommend a stay there.

The apartment was great! It was clean, very comfortable and well laid out, walking proximity to downtown was incredible, and communication with Etta was quick and informative. She was very accommodating and hospitable. We would stay again and recommend to friends!

It’s a very nice place, extremely well cleaned and in great condition. The kitchen is well equipped and also very clean! Unfortunately there are pictures in the listing that don’t belong to the rented house. Thus some false expectations. The host responded quickly to our notice about easily finding please and selfchecking in, afterwards for questions concerning the house we didn’t receive any reply at all.

Great stay! We LOVED our stay at the Old Post Office. It was an extremely cozy space that we wish we could have stayed at forever. Thank you so much! I very highly recommend it to anyone!

We felt comfortable and the location was very good. We spent 2 nights here and explored the island from here.

Eilidh's space was so lovely and cozy, it had a beautiful view overlooking the port! It was quiet while also being extremely central. Just a street away from the main strip with a grocery store, restaurants and boutiques. The space had many amenities for a family, including everything you would need to cook meals at home. What made our stay extremely enjoyable is the fact that Eilidh was incredibly responsive, very kind and made sure we were comfortable by checking in with us. A perfect homebase to explore the Isle of Skye!

We loved Sarah's place. The private reserved parking spot was great. There was flight of stairs to get to the apartment but we knew about them in advance. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Portree, everything is easily walkable. We loved the apartment, beautifully decorated. Recommended. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely helpful host. Easy access to property without having to interact with anyone. central location to shops ect and also to the castle and walks. Perfect if your planning on visiting the town and surrounding area. Thank you Malcolm

An absolute gem of accommodation. everything you needed, really comfy bed. Lots of lovely touches, fresh flowers, homebakes , biscuits , sweeties, milk, eggs meats butter and jam and juices. Highly recommend Graham's place, and definately will come back. Graham and Piegi were always available, and helpful too.
