Holiday rentals with breakfast in Na h-Eileanan an Iar

This is the most pleasant and scenic place I've ever stayed in the UK! I originally wanted to book a hotel in Portree, but when I saw the photos of this place, I felt it would be great, and I was very satisfied! Aileen is a very enthusiastic host, and we had a super fun chat with her. She also showed us her meaningful collection, and her occasional humor made us laugh. This is the warmth and style of the Highlands, which I really like. If I come to the Highlands again, I will definitely stay here again to enjoy the pleasant scenery!

We loved our time at Chrissie's. She is such a lovely host, who made us feel so welcome and right at home. We had many lovely chats with her and and a few cuddles with her dog Archie. :) Highly recommend.

Lovely hosts and lovely space! Location is great, the bedroom and space were spacious and clean, and the hosts were so lovely and kind. I also got some kitty pets in which made my night. Would stay here again!

The bedroom and ensuite were very nice. The location is easy walking distance from the center of Portree. Sandra is a wonderful host. Very friendly and engaging. The breakfast was great with lots of variety. The location is very central for exploring Skye. Lots of space to park. A great place to stay

Nous avons adoré Maureen pour son accueil, son sourire, sa gentillesse, sa générosité et sa patience avec nous. Nous avons eu un excellent échange malgré le barrage de la langue, elle a pris le temps de nous donner de bons conseils. Excellente cuisinière, elle nous a concocté un délicieux petit-déjeuner 😋😋😋. (Maureen, pouvez-vous nous donner la recette de vos champignons ? 😋😋😋😋😉). Notre chambre est décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avons bien dormi. Dommage que nous ayons passé qu’une nuit. Nous conseillons aux voyageurs d’aller à sa rencontre. Encore un grand merci à vous Maureen 🫶.

Staying at Margaret Ann's place exceeded our expectations. There are not many photos, which can often be misleading, but in this case left us pleasantly surprised. We were very worried about our late arrival, but Margaret Ann greeted us at the door, already had the underfloor heating prepared for us, and offered to make us a packed breakfast for the morning (which fully sustained us). The room is huge with large available closets, a comfy chair, a wooden rocking chair, handheld telescope, and is stocked with coffee, tea, and shortbread for the morning. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, especially after a long travel day and a few subpar stays elsewhere. Having an ensuite bathroom was also delightful. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and that we didn't arrive earlier to fully enjoy it. We arrived after dark and were astonished by the view in the morning! Our primary reason for the stay was to be near the ferry to Skye, but I highly recommend a longer visit here!

Elizabeth was very responsive to allow us for flexible check-in. The place is near to Quiraing hiking point (5-10 mins drive)and also many beautiful walks nearby. Elizabeth also made arrangements for free breakfast for the next morning. I would definitely recommend to anyone for quite competitive price. I would definitely visit again.

Alasdair is a wonderful human and the chance to experience him, his companion Ross the Dog, and the out of this world landscape of his croft was an honour. He made us feel like family and the chance to get to know him was a highlight of our whole trip to the Hebrides. The beds were so comfy, the breakfast amazing (we watched him feed the chickens who gave us our breakfast eggs while we ate), the local knowledge advice of places and adventures invaluable. Do yourself a favour and get to know him (and Ross) and experience his place. A memory for life for us.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und die Lage war sehr gut. Wir verbrachten 2 Nächte hier und erkundeten von hier aus die Insel.

Its remote, and eating out is not possible after 19:00, bokings esential, drive over the hils is hard

We loved our stay at Carol's B&B. It was easy to walk straight into town from there, only one block from the square. Carol was warm and friendly when we showed up and very welcoming. The apartment was exactly what we expected. Only had trouble with the funky British lock on the door but I am not mechanically inclined. And Carol has exact instructions right on the door on how to do it. Just requires some patience, that's all.

Great place to stay to escape the Scottish weather. Nice clean space, lovely restaurant and the sauna is a welcome addition! Would recommend for two people.

Dolina and his husband were amazing! What a fantastic, warming treatment for me and my wife. They made our night. The place is welcoming, super clean with everything you need for each space. The area is super quiet near a lot of good restaurants, our room was at the back and the view over the mountains was amazing. Breakfast was great and full of choices. We hope to see you again soon!

Such a lovely stay at the sweetest bnb! The views of the ocean are amazing and the breakfast was hearty and hit the spot for a day of exploring. Be sure to take the walk down to the ocean pier to see more lovely views!

Super cute and charming place! The bed was really comfy, and the views were amazing. We received such a warm welcome — she had a lovely private dining area/room for us with cookies, tea, coffee, toast, and more. Check-in was easy, the place was spotless, and our host was incredibly friendly. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Glyn and Lynda. The space is exactly as described, but words cant express how beautiful the surroundings are. Everywhere you look there is another amazing view! Glyn’s breakfast feasts were indulgent, delicious, and the perfect start to a day of exploring the island. Glyn and Lynda both had excellent recommendations for navigating the island, restaurants, and off the beaten path recommendations. We even got to meet their sheep and feed them a snack. Thank you to Glyn, Lynda, and sweet Connie for making our time on Skye so magical and for the lovely company and conversation. We hope to return to the Island again and will definitely be staying with Glyn and Lynda if we do.

We had such a wonderful time at Kenny's and Myra's place. The location, view and surroundings are just wonderful, we enjoyed the greatest view we could hope for during our stay. But the most memorable part surely was the warm welcome by Kenny and Myra, who have been so nice and helpful and made our stay on the Isle of Skye just perfect! The room was cosy, with much attention to details. They prepared a confortable cot for our little baby too. We didn't expect to get a breakfast - and what a breakfast! Kenny prepared a large and delicious full Scottish (not English!) breakfast for us, and strawberries and yogurt for our little one. They are very dedicated and kind hosts, we feel very lucky to have stayed at their place. This definitely contributed to the great memories we will bring back with us from Scotland. Scottish people are said to be very kind and welcoming, Kenny and Myra surely are their best representatives :) We hope to be back another time!

Vicki und John haben unseren Urlaub auf der Isle of Skye unvergesslich gemacht, wie wir es uns nicht hätten erträumen können. Sie waren hervorragende Gastgeber, die uns mit täglich frischen Backwaren verwöhnt haben und wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an wie zuhause gefühlt. Vicki und John waren immer für uns erreichbar und haben uns wertvolle Ausflugstipps gegeben. Ihre gesamte Unterkunft ist liebervoller und durchdachter eingerichtet als bei uns zuhause; es standen uns reichlich Lektüre und Ferngläser zum Geniessen der Aussicht zur Verfügung. Auch ihren gemeinsamen Wohnbereich durften wir mitnutzen. Wir wären sehr gerne länger geblieben und werden definitiv wiederkommen, wenn wir nach Schottland reisen.

Ein süßes, liebevoll eingerichtetes und sehr sauberes B&B in einer ruhigen, schönen Lage. Nur ca. 10 Minuten benötigt man zu Fuß an einen kleinen Strand. Wendy war sehr nett und reagierte gleich auf Fragen. Das Frühstück war superlecker und der kleine Frühstücksraum, mit Blick auf das Meer, war sehr gemütlich. Wir fühlten uns hier sehr wohl!!!!

Such an enjoyable stay! We had only 2 days to explore Skye and this was a perfect base for us as during the day we saw the high traffic tourist attractions and were able to enjoy the calmer more private Southern towns in the evenings. Fiona and Angus are lovely hosts- helpful, responsive, and an absolute joy to chat with. Room was as pictured and Fiona is quite thoughtful with providing snacks, dishes, tea and kettle, etc. Also, the adorable animal sightings on the drive to the house are a delightful bonus! Definitely hope to return for another stay someday
