Family-friendly holiday rentals in Murrieta

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

Fantastic getaway in the mountains, next to a babbling brook, with everything you could want. Just a quick trip down to the village but far enough away that it was super quiet. I'd been dreaming of an A frame with giant windows and a patio overlooking the trees and this was exactly it. That, plus the bonus of a cozy place to watch movies and hang out inside. It was my first trip to Idyllwild and I hope to come back again to stay here.

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! John’s place was amazing. We had 3 generations attending a wedding in the area and the house accommodated us perfectly. Our 87 year old was able to navigate the one-story home and grounds with ease. And the sitting room within the master suite was a perfect space to set up the bedding for our 3 year old grandchild. The house is well equipped with necessities, all in good repair, and extremely comfortable for our family of 7 adults and 1 child. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was large and clean. Gorgeous view of the vineyard and tranquil environment. Our host was very responsive to every question and request. He took extremely good care of us. I will recommend this home to our friends and family, and will return with our family again. Loved it!

View was spectacular! Loved the decor style! It’s an older unit but still well maintained. Loved the amenities and proximity to the beach and restaurants in Oceanside. Would definitely stay here again!

We had such an amazing time. So many activities to do at Kathleen’s. Our kids love the pond, swimming pool, fishing, pickleball, and appreciate all the outdoors amenities. Definitely a gem to visit for families. The home is a little dated. But all the outdoor activities make up for it.

Gorgeous property! The saloon felt like something out of the 1800s Wild West! Perfect place for my sisters western themed bachelorette party. I highly recommend a stay at this truly unique location 😍

Kelly’s place is a beautiful forest retreat. A nice big backyard for my dog to chase squirrels. We had a wonderful time.

The grounds were immaculate. Very roomy guest home. Well stocked with entertainment and kitchen/bath essentials. Would stay again.

I booked Jenna’s beautiful home for my wedding weekend, and it was truly perfect. My bridesmaids and I arrived after the rehearsal dinner, spent the next morning getting ready there, and my husband and I stayed in the Airbnb on our wedding night. Everything exceeded our expectations. The home was warm, spotless, and absolutely stunning. Even my photographer and videographer couldn’t stop raving about how gorgeous it was for our getting ready photos. This home is truly a must-stay! Jenna was incredibly responsive and such a wonderful host. I can’t say enough good things!

We had a great stay at the Lazy Gnome. The place was very clean and well decorated and furnished. My kids loved going up to the loft but beware that the steps/ladder are quite steep, though they had no issues using them. The neighborhood is nice and quite, the house is under many trees so has plenty of shade, and it's just a short drive to the main town area. We will absolutely consider staying here again next time we come to Idyllwild.

We had an awesome weekend. The cabin was very clean and it was very peaceful. It was wonderful to find a place that had a fenced in yard for the pups to run around. We cooked most meals there and the kitchen was well equipped. Thank you for sharing!

Great location, close walk to the beach. Our family of 4 enjoyed using the boogie boards, beach chairs and bikes that were available to us. Coffee shops and breweries were close by. Warrens place was perfect for our little getaway. Would highly recommend!

Ed was a great host. The house was beautiful and fully stocked with everything you could think of, even Qtips in the bathroom and a dog bowl for my pup! Beds were comfy and house was very clean - yard was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful Cali weather. Can’t wait to rent again!

Everything was wonderful! My daughter and I loved it. Eva and Zach truly covered every little detail! Staying here has renewed my love for Airbnb's. I have noticed that some rentals have become less personal and more of a management style. Eva and Zach were responsive and detailed to my messages. Because of all the trees and plants we felt as if we were on a tropical vacation. The pool was nice, we had it to ourselves. The inside of the home felt as if it was newly remodeled, very clean. I agree that the stairs to go up to the bedroom area are a bit steep. However, I'm clumsy and I did not have an issue. The roof top deck was peaceful. The location was perfect not far from attractions, but also away from the traffic and noise. We are hoping to make this home our annual mother, daughter spot. If I have to use one word to sum up our stay it would be Zen! Oh! And take their recommendation and eat at Uncle Tony's! Seriously the best Italian food and old school customer service.

Great place! Modern simple, deep tub, steam shower, comfy beds and pillows, peaceful environment. Wall-to-wall window doors look out into palm trees, chirping birds, lots of natural light. Note-there’s 2 entrances to underground parking of this. Parking entrance is LEFT side of building down the hill. Great to have dedicated indoor parking! Lovely stay

Spent the weekend here with my girlfriends for my birthday and we had the best time! The house is soooo homey and had everything we needed. We were welcomed with bagels & snacks and a “happy birthday” sign. Pool and hot tub were great. Perfect relaxing outdoor area. So peaceful. Such a lovely home! Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful space! It almost seems like you’re transported somewhere else, even another time. It was all great! And being one who usually avoids host interactions, Margarita and her husband couldn’t have been more welcoming. 10/10 would reco!

Great place and location, even better than looks and described online. A lot of nice touches to make it "cozy" and welcoming. The birds in yard are wonderful to hear especially in the morning. I will definitely stay again in future.

The guest house on Kris’s plot was as advertised and just what we needed for our stay in North County SD. Thanks for the wonderful time! My kids had a particularly good time.
