Excellent villa, beautiful pool. Lidija and her husband made us feel very welcome with homemade pastries and a vino on arrival. Excellent location easy to get to Pula and Pazin. We loved it. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

Best house I’ve ever stayed at, fantastic. We were a large group of 17 people (5 kids) which came together from different countries and cities to chill and have fun. House offered everything it described, unbelievable architecture, great amenities, very cozy and clean, easy to reach. Large kitchen, comfortable furniture, fantastic patio, workable grill. Surrounding is decent (dry dock for speedboats and yachts next to the house), but still very calm (if you don’t count the local chickens and dogs which are providing the natural environment). The doors and windows are, however, brilliantly insulated so basically you will hardly hear anything when in one of the rooms. Till was a great host, always responsive and helpful in all aspects! Gave us recommendations, helped us prepare everything upfront, kudos. We definitely hope to return to Stara Škola for another great experience.

I spent New Year's Eve with my friends in Stefan's accommodation and we were very impressed by the beauty of the house, new, clean, functional, equipped with every comfort. The rooms each with their own bathroom offer maximum privacy to each guest while the open lounge allows you to enjoy moments together with other guests in total relaxation and comfort. Stefan is a fantastic host, always available, who put us in the best conditions to feel at home. Thank you!

Helena welcomed us very kindly. The arrangement when we arrived worked great. She explained and showed us everything on site and also gave us tips on where to eat well. Everything was already there on site, a small purchase had already been made, for the first hunger. Dishwasher tabs, taps for the washing machine, dishcloths, but also charcoal…… everything available. Then a large fruit basket was brought over in between. Helena was also always available and after a small storm, she asked the next day if we were okay and if someone should come to clean up. The pool was also cleaned once in between. It's also great there with a dog, because it's properly fenced, and walking the dog is no problem. So we were completely satisfied and would go back. Thank you very much to Helena and also to your husband🫶🏻

This place is highly recommended! When we arrived, we immediately felt comfortable. The area is very rural, green and quiet. The accommodation is very stylish with many warm colors - perfect to get away from everyday life. Overall, the accommodation is very spacious due to the three different levels. We couldn't figure out where to heat the pool, but we were always in the whirlpool anyway. A perfect accommodation for us. However, we would recommend a maximum of 4 adults, otherwise you would have to share a room.

As a family of five, we spent 14 days in the beautiful Villa Sentona. The house is beautifully furnished, with great taste and many useful details. It is bigger than it looks in the photos. The beds were very comfortable and everything was exceptionally clean. The garden has grown in the meantime and offers not only privacy but also a relaxing ambience. The pool was amazing and was cleaned several times a week. Everything was perfect, we absolute reccomend Villa Sentona and Boris, he is a very nice host.

A beautiful and modern apartment with a friendly and accommodating host, in an environment where you can do a lot. The world-famous Škocjan Caves and the Lipica stud farm are practically next door, and in 40 minutes by car you can be in Piran on the Adriatic. The reception with a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh fruit was very exclusive. Gladly again!

Clean, cozy apartment with all the comforts

Everything was perfect. House was conveniently located 4 min off the highway. Quiet street with great view of the Adriatic from the top balcony. Everything was super clean. Kids enjoyed sleeping in the loft. Would highly recommend

Pavel’s house on the hill was fabulous. Stunning views with great outdoor eating area and BBQ. The house was full of character, very unusual. Pavel was a great host, and was quick to respond. He went out of his way to help us out. Thank you Pavel.

Gloria and Alen were wonderful hosts! This place is truly exceptional—we loved the style of the house, and it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. We’ll definitely be coming back; it’s earned a spot on our top list!

Extremely nice and architecturally interesting seaside house in a quiet village. We spent a peaceful new year watching the fireworks from the shore.

The two of us stayed in Sabina's house for a week in June. Everything clean and very nicely decorated. The parking right in the courtyard is really great given the difficult parking situation in Trieste. The house is situated in a private courtyard, accessible via a narrow one-way street, very nice people live in the annex. At first we thought the house was too far from the center, but that turned out to be an error. Bus station is really right around the corner. Five stops, then you are in the center. The ingenious thing, you come back by bus in the evening, are within walking distance of two bars for a nightcap if you want. The bakery right around the corner has a great selection and also pizza and cake and on the terrace on the street you can sit and enjoy. We had a quiet relaxing time in Sabina's beautiful house.

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was extremely clean and the large bed was comfortable. There is a nice area for sitting out in the lower garden. The sea view is somewhat misleading. While it is possible to view the sea it can’t be done from the apartment unless you walk across the lower garden. The seaview shown is essentially from SAs parent apartment on the upper floor. That said the garden is a pleasant place to sit out. As others have stated there is a language issue with SAs father but this was easily got round with hand signals etc. He was waiting for our arrival and showed us round the apartment and was pleasant to deal with. He also brought chocolate pancakes one evening. SA was very quick to respond to my queries prior to arrival and offered us the option to arrive early. Overall this is a pleasant place to stay.

The apartment’s atmosphere was very nice. Designed by an interior designer, few years ago fully refurbished. Some parts look good, but are not really practical (big chandeliers). The kitchen is fully equipped, so we could prepare food easily. The AC was working. Alenka reccommended us a lot of places to visit, she is a really kind and helpful host :) enjoyed our stay in Piran and would recommend Casa Matteo to anyone :)

We had a wonderful time at this place. The house and furnishings were in very good and well maintained condition. The only downside, the house has no heating (yet) and the pool is also not heated. As soon as the temperatures drop, it was also very cool in the house. We were impressed by the magnificent private location and it was a good starting point to explore Istria. In the small supermarket in the village, there are all the basics to get. The contact with Karmen was very pleasant.

Peter’s apartment is so magic… this place is so quiet and renovated very esthetic. You’re in the middle of nowhere. You can have slow mornings with sunshine and nature. But don’t forget you need to have car. Wifi works very well. Kitchen well equipped.

Sergeja’s place was great, since GPS is weird in the area she personally escorted us to the Airbnb, and let us know a shortcut The place was clean, had everything we needed and her hospitality is amazing! She is so welcoming and let us know if we needed any recommendations. Could not recommend enough!

Our stay at Renata’s place was the perfect ending for our Italian family trip from Bologna to Trieste (one mother and two daughters). The house is 15-20 minutes walk from the train station, but there is a bus line also to easier access, than 5 minute walk uphill from bus station to the house. We felt safe and in peace at this accommodation. The three levelled house is gorgeous, well equipped and has a personal vibe through the little details, carefully decorated with personal treasures, unique items and renovated furnitures. Everything was perfectly prepared for our arriving, bathroom and kitchen extra tidy and clean! We got towels, slippers and Renata & Dario even got us some welcome goodies for breakfast and for snacks and welcomed us with nicely written words too. We had everything we needed in the kitchen also. The view is even better than in pictures, perfect for eating outside on the terrace, and sippin’ in the coastal atmosphere. There is simply nothing to complain about! 10/10

Really great, clean and affordable place to stay at. Around 25 minute walk to the centre of Gorizia. Could be ideal for a family to stay.
