Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Mount Mitchell

I had a little trouble getting in with the keypad, but that is probably more about my lack of knowledge with keypad entries. 😂 The home was spotless when we arrived and we filled it with lots of laughter and fun! The back deck was amazing - even in a gentle rain. And, our last night there we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Mike and Cate were INCREDIBLY helpful and communicative. They answered every question within minutes and made us feel well taken care of. Departure was easy and they requested minimal prep for departure. They made staying at their home easy and comfortable. 👍

Our stay at Nathaniel’s place is was fantastic! The home was spacious and just what was needed for the weekend. We cooked each night and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was easy to relax in the comfortable bed with the ability to stream anything we wanted on all 3 TVs. The home is very close to downtown Black Mountain - walkable even. The neighborhood was very comfortable and we felt very safe, our pup had a wonderful time in the fenced backyard as well. If we return to Black Mountain this is definitely where we will stay!

We loved our stay. The hosts were super responsive, and went above and beyond. Finally, an airbnb that looks like the photos and is as described! Clean, bright, and comfortable. Plus, they totally understood my chemical sensitivities and made sure I was safe from artificial fragrances from laundry and cleaning products. We would definitely stay here again!

If you like the listing, you will love staying at Karen's. It's clean, easy to use and comfortable. Easy coffee was a plus. The back deck is a delight. Quite a find!

The cabin was lovely and we had a great time there . Communication with owners was easy and prompt. The cabin is hidden in the mountains , but easy to find and with good access . We felt safe . The cabin is 100 years old but beautifully renewed , without taking the feeling that you are in a traditional mountain cabin . We also enjoyed the nearby community and the kind people living in the area . We loved the stay and we plan to return .

Great peaceful place to stay. We had an absolute blast while we were there. It is absolutely beautiful. Lance was a great host and made you feel right at home. You would never even know he was there if he hadn’t come out and met you the place is absolutely beautiful if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, you can’t go wrong staying here. It is beautiful. Words can’t describe how beautiful it was there and what was even more amazing two jets flew right over where we were staying at at a very low altitude. I meant words can’t describe when you see that and also the wildlife was everywhere. A deer walked up within 20 feet of us. We loved our stay and we were going back in October.

This was our second stay we have stayed on both sides of the Airbnb and we absolutely loved them both it was peaceful and relaxing just what we needed 😊

We had the best short stay at Suzanne’s for the horseshow. Her home is beautiful and we were lucky to experience it. Wonderful host (and restaurant) to top it all off!

This is one of the best! We have stayed with Cheryl many times and it is such a treat to have a place that is so well stocked, so comfortable, and with a host that makes it feel like home. We will be back again as it feels like staying with a friend.

Kelly and Caleb’s vacation home was an absolute dream for our family! We had the best time and were able to enjoy some peace and quiet and we also enjoyed exploring surrounding areas. This was my daughter’s birthday weekend and we had a Mommy/daughter weekend on the farm. This was literally one of the best experiences of our life. My daughter is an animal lover; especially cows and she was in heaven. Sheri and her family were amazing, welcoming and some of the sweetest people we’ve ever met! If you love stay here you won’t regret it! We’re grateful that we found New Beginnings Historic Farms!!!

The house is a very cute out in the mountains! The creek in the backyard and the sauna are easily the highlights!

Property (farm) is beautiful and well kept. Cabin is modern, well appointed, very clean and well cared for. Open views of the surrounding mountains, fields, river and farm animals is so nice it almost seems unreal. Note: there is not a full kitchen but instead a make shift kitchenette area with a portable burner, microwave, toaster oven, etc - fine for preparing simple meals. Excellent host. Good, fast, spot-on communication. Overall a quiet, ideal place to get away and relax.

Great weekend getaway! Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin in the mountains. We came for a wedding and it was our 3 month old baby’s first road trip/away from home and the cabin had everything you would need! Truly a home away from home. Definitely recommend a car with AWD or experience driving up mountains but super easy to navigate and get to and honestly probably would be fine with any car but I can see how it would be intimidating. But worth the drive up! We will be back and make it our go to place!

We had a lovely stay at this cozy cabin, it looks exactly like the pictures! We were able to stay a few days and it was great to get some peace, quiet and privacy. I will say, I wish there was a photo of the crazy hike up to get to the cabin because WOW what a workout, so if you don’t have a 4WD car and you don’t wanna take your luggage up that huge hill i don’t recommend it. Trust me, the hike going up and down will get old after like two trips. Now this of course is not the owners fault, but there are lots of cicadas and some other critters that love sharing the surrounding area with you since you’re in the woods, so if you don’t like that i don’t recommend. Other than that, they provided us with everything we needed during our trip! I unfortunately didn’t have service in the area, but thankfully there was wifi in the cabin despite the listing saying there wasn’t any. We had a lovely stay in this cozy cabin and we loved every second of it. thank you 🐻!!

The hobbit hole was so fun to stay in! Very close to downtown and an easy drive in to do fun things. It was so well themed and a good mix between camping and a hotel. Had a wonderful time!

Nice little place. Bed was comfortable and the place was clean. Quiet neighborhood with sidewalks. We walked down to Tomahawk Lake, it wasn't far, maybe 10-15 min walk.

5 star stay - the location was about as perfect as you can get for outdoor adventures, and the cabin was exactly what we needed. The space was clean, has all amenities you’d need but the outdoor space is where the magic is at. The outdoor shower is really awesome and it was nice to be able to use the sauna as well. Highly recommend Babel Tower hike for a great view.
