Every now and then you come across special places in the world, places you feel truly priveleged to be able to visit. This is one of them. It's a wonderful place to stay, it's a whole experience being there, both wild and rustic but also comfortable and set up just right. The cottage is perfect. A great space for two to share, cosy and decorated with a minimal but excellent taste, the kitchen has everything you need, be it for storing some snacks or more concerted cooking. (of, for example, delicious things you find at the nearby Sedgefield market). The area is wonderful to explore, jump in a kayak and go! And, sure, you can hear the traffic across the way, but at least in mu opinion, it just doesn't matter. Stay for as many nights as you can, you're going to want to. Watching the tide come in….watching it go out….so relaxing. Super weekend with baby, kids, grandparents and dog. Playing in the lagoon all day and enjoying the quiet splashes of the fish in the evenings. Thanks again Charles and Ryk

I have always wanted to stay @ De Branders! We loved it! The weather was bad, but we had a cozy couch with a beautiful view & amazing sounds. Definitely coming again!!

As a Garden Route local, I can confidently say this home is in one of the absolute best locations in the entire region. The setting is peaceful, scenic, and perfectly placed to enjoy all that the Garden Route has to offer. The house itself is truly beautiful—thoughtfully designed, exceptionally maintained, and filled with character. It’s rare to find a place that combines such a stunning location with such tasteful living spaces. Highly recommended.

We had a great stay at Hope's place. The place was clean, had everything we needed and close to the beach. Hope is a very nice host with good communication skills.

A beautiful apartment with spectacular views. Reception was outstanding. Looked exactly as advertised. When requested to watch the Tennis they went out of their way to help us to stream the game. Friendly hosts with super helpful and friendly cleaning staff. Will definitely return.

Marya was an excellent host—friendly, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The location was perfect, just a short stroll from the beach, and we were spoiled with stunning views from every room. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind by the sea in a beautiful setting.

The location is incredibly tranquil and surrounded by stunning nature. I especially enjoyed the peaceful walks along the beautiful beach and watching the breathtaking sunsets. The house has a lovely stoep facing the ocean, perfect for enjoying sundowners and soaking in the soothing sounds of the waves.

It was the perfect location for a stunning weekend in Harold's Bay! We were right by the beach, could see and hear the ocean and we had so much functional space to work with. The holiday home was so cozy. Thank you for the amazing hospitality. It felt really like a break!

Our stay at Wayne’s home was wonderful! The breathtaking views of the bay were the highlight of our trip—perfect for enjoying sundowners around the large table. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, easily accommodating our group of 7 adults. The location is fantastic—set in a peaceful Eco Estate, it’s private, serene, and surrounded by wildlife. The short, scenic walk to the beach was a treat. The large indoor braai room with its cozy couches and massive fireplace made for some memorable evenings. Wayne is an exceptional host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He provided clear check-in instructions, responded promptly to any questions, and his warmth is evident throughout the house. The off-grid setup worked seamlessly, with reliable wifi as a bonus.
