Holiday rentals with a kayak in Morgan County

This place is beautiful just like the listed pictures. It is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with an amazing outlook of the back yard. It has lots to do within a 5 minute drive to cacapon state park! Overall amazing!

Second time visiting the Retreat at Upland Trail, and will be back again!!! Beautiful cabin and views. The place was immaculately clean both times thanks to Rachel, the housekeeper for the property (I always leave a nice tip). The screened in porch with grill is nice, and the gas firepit on the balcony is so relaxing at night. As for Wi-Fi, it okay considering the location and did fine for the internet TV. However, if you have Verizon the 4G cell coverage is strong. Highly recommend!!!

I had an awesome weekend here with a group of friends. The cabin was perfect for us; private, well-furnished, and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed driving around the area a little, its a great countryside. I loved the river right below the cabin too. Pay attention to the directions they send too you when you book, its not hard to find if your paying attention. I will definitely remember this place and come back if I get a chance. I have a lot of good memories from our stay here. Thanks to Cottage Rentals for the work they put into making it such a great stay.

Place was beautifully done and in a beautiful place, we would definitely buy it!!!! Peace and serenity and met the needa of my fiance who has MCS, mold and emf sensitivities.

We loved our stay at this cabin! It’s right next to the river, super peaceful with beautiful scenery all around. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind, and we were excited to see paw paw trees growing nearby. The cabin had everything we needed—comfortable, clean, and just the right mix of cozy and secluded. Would definitely come back!

This cottage is a wonderful place! Comfy furniture and a great location. Not far from the places I needed to go. The only thing I would have liked to have there is a washer and dryer! When your on a longer trip being able to do laundry can be a necessity.

Peaceful, comfortable house. Able to bike to Cacapon from there. Perfect for us.

We had a wonderful stay at Seventh Heaven. My family and 2 dogs had a quick stay for Thanksgiving. We had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen. The cabin was beautiful, clean and peaceful. The pellet stove was perfect to relax, as was the hot tub. We took a hike at the paw paw tunnel and trail which was about 20 minutes away. We all enjoyed the peace and quiet away from our busy lives. I hope to return to this lovely cabin in the future!

The cottage was exactly what we wanted for our family mountain getaway. We loved the Mountain View, hot tub and surrounding scenery. WiFi worked perfectly well. It had basically everything we needed. Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the river because it flooded prior to the stay but that would have been icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this rental for a scenic outdoor WV getaway!

If you are looking for a secluded little get-away with a great host, this is the spot. Unfortunately these reviews only allow 1000 characters otherwise I would write a novel of a review for Rachelle and The River House. I stayed for 6 weeks with my dog in April and May watching Spring bloom. How beautiful! I was able to float down the river, see wildlife, go fishing, get fresh free-range organic chicken eggs, eat outside in the fresh air, hangout with one of the neighbor dogs, watch hummingbirds, and enjoy fires at night in the firepit and more! They recently added Starlink for the internet wifi and it was blazing fast. It is perfect for working remotely (video calls) and streaming. The beds and pillows are comfy. The water is hot. The place is clean. Rachelle is a top-tier host and super friendly, considerate and responsive. We had a couple of minor issues and she resolved them ASAP. If you're not used to the buggy woods keep that in mind, especially during the warmer months.

We had a great time. The cottage is lovely, very well decorated, comfortable, it felt like home. We enjoyed the deck and the bonfire by the water. We would have loved to use the kayak and canoe but the weather was not amenable to it unfortunately. Julie was proactive and shared detailed instructions and local recommendations. She was responsive when I asked questions ahead of our arrival. I would totally recommend for a couple or family and would definitely come back.

We loved our weekend in Mercersburg! Chip and Angela were terrific to work with. The cottage is adorable and the scenery is gorgeous! We loved the outdoor fireplace and feeding the horses. It was a wonderful weekend.

The river is beautiful and the location is so quiet and private. We were able to see the bald eagle and catch fish, etc. Highly recommend if you want a weekend in nature and just time to relax and unwind!

This little home is a gem! Stephanie is an amazing host and thought of everything down to multi chargers in each bedroom and makeup washcloths! They have endless fun games in the dining area and of course the kayaking was a blast! There is so much wildlife to enjoy as well with deer, raccoons, chipmunks and rabbits galore. If you want to unplug and get away from all the craziness, Hummingbird Lane is your place!

Cabin was as advertised- right on the river and I didn't realize there was a small grocery store/butcher about 10 minutes away- came in handy when I forgot to pack my dinner! As a football fan, I was happy to see the Wifi was great- no issues streaming.

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. Liz was an amazing host and the home and surrounding area were awesome. Liz adds lots of little touches to make you feel extra welcome and appreciated, but I don’t want to ruin the surprises! Liz was super responsive to any questions. We would definitely return to this place!

Always a good time, this is one of our go to places. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We've come here many times and will continue as it has everything we need. Great proximity to Baltimore when you need a quick & affordable get away into nature.
