My stay was wonderful. I had a great time exploring the neighborhood which is very nice and safe. Pedro is the perfect host. If you need to know something about the area please ask him. If you visiting Costa Rica and you are traveling alone, this is the ideal location and if you are traveling in a group it's still for you. You will not be sorry.

Huge room extremely clean Yonder was super flexible in accommodating us last minute since we needed 2 beds. Nice breakfast very open and spacious grounds.

This was my second time staying in this building, but in a different apartment—and once again, it felt like home. The space was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. I really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and secure location. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Convenient place to reach both mountain areas and the airport. Close to Heredia. Very spacious. Good for a start or end of holidays.

First air bnb I did I’m single mom from America I always do hotels when travel but I tried Airbnb for first time. I felt safe taxi driver helped me to the apartment door. Very safe location. Out side there are food store right and to the left is more city feel I felt safe walking both areas. The host was really nice and nice place nice showers and had Netflix way better than hotel

Perfect place for a few days in San Jose! I received clear instructions and check-in went very smoothly. In a great location with close access to restaurants and also central San Jose. The flat was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again!

Bedroom with kitchen in this giant "hostel" of rare quality. The common areas are great, special mention to the hidden Red Room, amazing. Very nice pool and super nice neighborhood, quiet and trendy with lots of good places. A great discovery

Fantastic stay! The location was perfect, with plenty of walkable restaurants nearby. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, and we loved having access to a great pool and gym.

Very nice and clean

The location and apartment are amazing. The place is as it appears in the photos: comfortable, clean and with an excellent location to move around the city. Definitely a highly recommended place. The only thing that was not ideal is that Sergio did not notify the staff that I was going to arrive that day, and he did not respond to my messages, which caused a small delay at check-in. I had to wait a few more minutes until it was resolved. Even so, once inside, the experience was very good.

Excellent service and the place is as it appears in the photographs. We had a problem with the time we booked as it was an emergency and Mauro helped us at all times, and made it easy for us to enter after the agreed time. I recommend it 100%

I would like to start out by saying that I travel often and I use Air BNB alot, I spend alot of my free time traveling around Costa Rica when I'm not back home in the US. Esmeralda is by far the best host I have ever had and quite possibly the sweetest woman in all of Costa Rica. She was waiting for me as I arrived with a smile on her face. It was a long day of travel for me to get here as I was coming from Mount Chirripo in the Pérez Zeledón area 1 day after I climbed the tallest mountain in Costa Rica. I was completely exhausted, worn down from the 3 days of mountain climbing and bus travel and I couldn't have received a warmer welcome. Esmeralda has forgotten no details, the apartment was super easy to locate (which can be hard sometimes in San Jose as many dwellings look similar), she walked me in and gave me the tour, the small details she included in the apartment were so far above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. She made sure the kitchen not only had everything I needed to prepare meals, but she even stocked food for me so I wouldn't have to go find a market after my long travel day. The refrigerator was full of bottled water, bananas, and plantains (my favorite), she got me eggs, a bottle of wine, coffee, tea and even little chocolates. When she realized I still had to unpack and settle in after my travels, she went next door to her home and made me a giant pitcher of fresh pineapple juice and a huge ham & cheese sandwich and brought it back over for me so I'd have some nutrients before calling it a night. I was absolutely floored by her generosity. My original plan was to stay 2 nights before heading off for the Caribbean, but the apartment was so comfortable (oh and the bed has the softest blanket on planet Earth) and the neighborhood was so quaint and easy to navigate, that I decided to immediately book another 2 nights. I'm still here as I'm writing this, and I never want to leave 😆 I would gladly be Esmeralda's neighbor forever! Oh, and I almost forgot, I checked in the day before Tropical storm Bonnie arrived, and she bought me a brand new umbrella in case I needed to walk to the market or the gym. She literally thought of it all and then some. I could not be happier with my stay and I will stay at Esmeralda's apartment everytime I come to San Jose from now on (which is several times per year) Do yourself a favor and book this apartment for your stay, I guarantee you will not regret it. Much love and gratitude to you, Esmeralda. Thank you for showing me there are still amazing people in this world and making me feel like family while I was far from home. You are the best!

Comfortable place to spend a few nights

We enjoyed our stay. Apartment was comfortable. Plenty of pillows for the first time ever in any place I’ve stayed in Costa Rica! Thanks! Kitchen had everything we needed.
