Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Monterey County

This was our best Airbnb experience by far. The home was clean and it had everything a family with little ones need! Our kids loved the play area in the back patio and we felt right at home. Host was super attentive and responsive and you could feel the host’s thoughtfulness and consideration of their guests in the set up and management of the home. If we come back to the area in the future we would love to stay in one of their homes!

Great place to stretch out and relax, with so much natural light that we rarely needed to turn on the overhead lights. We enjoyed cozying up in front of the fireplace and hanging out on the back porch. The well-stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals. The house is in a lovely neighborhood with an easy walk to the beach. Easy to access the heart of town on foot or by car. My only note would be to bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper, as one of the bedrooms is next to a busy road.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hummingbird (and saw hummingbirds at the feeders in the back yard). There were 6 of us (including our 2 teenagers and my parents) and it was comfortable and peaceful. The garden in the back is a work of art! We loved looking at how beautiful everything was placed and masterfully pruned. Very lovely and reminded me of being in Japan. My 14-year old son said it was his favorite place because of the granola bars, Ramen, and hot chocolate Shiho graciously stocks for guests. And the kitchen had all the little things you wish you had when you’re away from home, like sandwich baggies and a plastic spoon for your lunch. We made all our meals and ate at home every night. She had everything we needed to make meals. Shiho is a lovely hostess and has thought through little things to make your stay pleasant. The sheets were so soft. Plenty of towels in the bathroom and everything was spotless. We felt at home and would love to stay there again.

Clean, compact and cozy cottage. Clutter free. We stayed three nights with our pets, and this cottage suited us perfectly. A nearby park (Martin Park) provides a destination for a short dog walk, or as the gateway for a longer walk if one is inclined to venture into the neighborhood. Our neighborhood stroll led us to discover a yard landscaped brilliantly with succulents, at the corner of Lowell Street and Mingo Avenue, only one block north of Martin Park.) The cottage's off-street parking brought peace-of-mind, as there were lots of vehicles parked on the street. We had a delightful visit. (If you have an especially large vehicle, inquire of the hosts first about compatibility, as the street is a bit narrow. We were in an average size vehicle and had no problems.)

Wonderful AirBnB! Immaculately clean and even better than the photos. Good communication, easy to check in, and super comfortable with everything you could ask for. The house is in a great location to walk into town and enjoy the restaurants. Would love to stay here again some day!

We stayed here with our three young kids for a vacation in the Monterey area. It’s a lovely well-maintained and well-appointed house in a peaceful residential area that was a great home base for exploring the broader region. The home looks to have been owned by one family for a very long time and is well cared for. The kids loved the yard and we took advantage of the grill, fire pit, and outdoor seating, which are things we don’t have at home in the city. The house includes most things you might need, although the kitchen implements were a bit limiting (as is often the case with rentals). The host was easy to communicate with, checkin was seamless, and checkout instructions were simple and easy to follow. Great experience, would recommend!

We had a large group that rented both properties - the Hacienda House and Vineyard House. Both were excellent, as described, stocked with anything you need and communication was fast and helpful. Our entire family loved it and felt like royalty. Would highly recommend it and would come back again for sure.

This apartment was exactly as listed! Beautiful view with small porch that had a small table perfect for a romantic dinner. Surrounding area has a lot of food options and a local saloon downstairs. Walking distance to the mission. Cara was very responsive when it came to asking any questions. I would definitely recommend this location. 10/10 stay!

My husband and I recently stayed in “Fancy Free by the Sea”. It met all of our needs. I loved the way it was decorated and it felt very homey. We appreciated the filtered water in the refrigerator and the available coffee, although we purchased our coffees in town. All in all, very cute, very relaxing space. I would stay there again. I gave it 5 stars.

The house is off the beach but a 2 min walk to the coast. We really enjoyed walking to restaurants and stores in Pacific Grove. Very short, easy drive to Asimolar State Beach and the Monterrey Aquarium.

Fantastic apartment. It is roomy and airy. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our host thoughtfully provided coffee, creamer and water so we didn’t have to worry about our first morning. Location is at the center of Carmel. We parked our car and didn’t get in it for three days. There is a great bakery and also a market a block or two away. Our host was responsive to questions. We plan to stay again next time we visit this magical town.

We had a great time staying here. We had some trouble getting in the gate because even though Maria messaged me what the gate code was I kept thinking and looking back at their old gate code in the listing. Luckily we got it sorted out but it was a lil confusing at first. We also weren’t quite sure which way was ok to drive to the place. Like drive behind their house or cut right in front of their house to get to the place, there weren’t any instructions so we did both lol. We were also a lil bummed that there was no outside seating like shown in the pictures. We drove around their house a couple times trynna make sure we were at the right building because we were looking for the outside furniture for us to know we were at the right place. Once again we figured it out. It was overall a beautiful surrounding at the house and so many flowers. We had a great time and would stay again. I would recommend Maria’s place for sure so peaceful and quiet it was very very nice. Thank you Maria

Emanuel and Beshoy were great hosts! They always messaged me to check in and made sure my check in and stay was perfect. They answered all of my questions and were very nice and accommodating with my stay. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to book a listing with them!

We had an amazing stay at Howard’s Place! Literally steps from the beach. Howard was very communicative and always responded if we reached out to him. The community is also amazing! We had an issue with the blinds not working and they came the next day and fixed them. They provide wheelbarrows for luggage and have a private pond. We would definitely stay here again! We have stayed at many beach hotels and apartments and this may have been the best. Beautiful view of the beach, which is pretty quiet. And you can walk on the beach for a couple of hours in either direction. Also really enjoyed the location in Watsonville, which is the strawberry capital of the US. And nice to have Monterey and Santa Cruz nearby. Communicaiton with Pajaro Dunes was very good and helpful. Look forward to coming back.

Wonderful condo nestled in the Pajaro Dunes Resort. We traveled with two elementary aged kids and they had a fantastic time. A great family getaway. We brought our own groceries and there was plenty of amenities in the kitchen for eating in every meal. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and beautiful views from the inside as well. We appreciated having the beach chairs & tennis items. The resort recreation area was a lot of fun and we spent several hours there. Comfortable beds and upgraded furnishings. Overall, a fantastic experience and we can’t wait to return again someday.

Stayed with my husband and parents here for our wedding week that was happening in the area. The place was plenty spacious for 4 people! Much better than a hotel room would’ve been. Gave us quality time cooking in the kitchen and hanging out in the living room, enjoying the hottub & heated pool and the beach! The ocean view from the dining table and the front porch is STUNNING!! The place is nice, well kept, and has everything you need! Any small things that popped up, Patti was helpful and fixed right away! Would definitely stay here again!!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It’s absolutely perfect and has everything you could possibly need. We were especially delighted to find chopsticks, which totally made our day since we were planning to have ramen and thought we’d have to use forks! The view from the condo is stunning, like something out of a movie, and it was such a treat to have easy access to the beach. Watching the sunset was one of the highlights of our trip. The host was very responsive and provided clear, helpful instructions for everything, from check-in and check-out to using the washer. The check-in process with the gate attendant was smooth and made us feel extra secure. Everything was super clean and thoughtfully prepared. We stayed at several Airbnbs along Route 1, and this one was undoubtedly the best. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful place, right on the ocean, with beautiful views. So well equipped with everything you need. The gift food basket with local products and well stocked pantry was very welcoming. So many products in the bathroom and even extra towels and linens if you need them. Also was stocked with laundry supplies. Szuszi, the host was very responsive and proactive. Like many places right on the ocean, it did have a musty smell. This was fine for us, but may not be for those that are sensitive. We loved being able to walk along the beach and also around the nature preserves. It was a short drive into town and we enjoyed the recommendations left by the host for where to get groceries, get food, and local sites. We would definitely stay here again.

Staying at this Airbnb was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and thoughtfulness—fresh local flowers, many beautiful books related to the neighborhood in reading material. The space was immaculately clean, beautifully designed, with everything I could need—toiletries to fast Wi-Fi .The host went above and beyond, checking in to ensure everything was perfect. It felt less like a rental and more like a five-star boutique hotel with the heart of a home. I truly didn’t want to leave!” This is a real heartfelt space in the middle of my home town that provided the soulful connection to home.

We’ve stayed at Pajaro Dunes before, but it’s been decades ago. Marc’s place was perfectly situated for privacy and views and was very clean and well appointed. The peacefulness and serenity were exactly what we were looking for. The beachy feel of the furnishings was charming and the unit included all that we needed including an upgraded and well furnished kitchen, a gas fireplace, a comfortable, king size bed and other essentials like extra blankets and a Kuerig coffee maker. Our only difficulty was when inadvertently trying to use the TV remote to change channels…Don’t Do That, Use the cable remote like it says in the instructions. Spent a thoroughly enjoyable four days here with side trips to Monterey and Carmel. Perfect home base for dining out and exploring the coast, and an excellent, proactive host.

This was an ideal place for me as it was a close, scenic drive to where I was participating in a 3 day dog sports event. The home was quiet, clean, inviting, had all the amenities and a very comfortable bed. I loved having the private outside patio. I especially enjoyed being welcomed by Gary and Irene who were a most delightful couple and gracious hosts.
