Family-friendly holiday rentals in Monroeville

Andi’s place worked out perfectly for our sisters weekend. For 5 people everyone could have their own bedroom and there was enough sitting space for us all. Plenty to do with restaurants, museums and parks within walking distance or a short drive, then once home the house was quiet. Recommend!

We had a good stay for grad weekend for my daughter. Enjoyed the place, the nice TV, the many snacks provided and the back garden.

Our stay was absolutely terrific! Rick was an incredibly attentive host, reaching out days before our arrival to make sure we were familiar with the entry system and had everything we needed for a smooth, stress-free start. We were welcomed with fresh flowers, a wonderful basket of snacks and a fantastic list of his favorite local spots, which we really appreciated. The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with every modern amenity we could ask for. Rick checked in with us periodically to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, without ever being intrusive. The location couldn’t have been better—nestled on a charming street in a lovely neighborhood, within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and essentials. It was a perfect home base for visiting the University of Pittsburgh and getting downtown quickly and easily. Highly recommend this stay—we would absolutely return!

Always a joy to stay here (which we try to do every time we come to town). The house is comfortable, well-furnished, and always spotlessly clean. And it’s a real home, not a soulless, cookie-cutter Airbnb rental. Plus, Laura is a delightful host, super friendly and very responsive. Don’t hesitate.

Good location. Walkable to some local spots but also easy to uber to other areas. Spacious for a group. It rained most of the weekend but there’s a great outdoor space! Beds were very comfy! Super cute decor, modern. Fantastic kitchen. Awesome large round table that is great for a group or game night. Lots of bathrooms. The only complaint is the lock to the front door is a little temperamental —takes awhile for it to lock and unlock. Either way—minimal inconvenience for a near perfect experience. Would definetly stay there again!!!!

This was the second time we stayed at Tyler's place and it was just as nice as the first time. The apartment is close to my daughters house which makes it convenient, very clean and the pictures and description on Airbnb are accurate. Close to public transportation for Pittsburgh's sites.

Carlos's place was great! There was plenty of room for myself and my family. We loved the decor and would recommend the house to anyone needing a place to stay in the area.

Karen's house was a great place for our short family visit to the Pittsburgh area. The house was very clean, the kitchen is set up nicely and has plenty of cooking utensils, pans and plates/silverware. The backyard is large and is fenced in which was great for our dogs. The deck is also large with a table and chairs - if the weather was nice, it would have been a great place to sit and relax. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

Having stayed in a number of Air BnBs over the years, Heidi’s home moves to the top of the list of favorites! We really appreciated the opportunity to stay in Heidi’s beautiful home, where we were treated with kind hospitality. The house is even better than in the photos, so lovingly maintained, with incredible original woodwork and stained glass. After a day of activities in the Pittsburgh area, it was fantastic to come back to this amazing house, which is super comfortable and homey. Not only was the house great, but Heidi provided us with food! It was so awesome to have fresh coffee and a nice breakfast in the morning. She also gave us helpful suggestions for area restaurants and brew pubs within walking distance. I especially loved the front porch for taking in the night air on the porch swing…We highly recommend this beautiful home!

Rebecca was very communicative. She was very flexible and understanding of several date changes that we had to make due to family emergencies that we had experienced. The location had great access to 376, the Homestead Waterfront, and Squirrel Hill shops and restaurants.

Great spot and beautiful view of the city! Beds were very comfortable and there was a lot of space. The place is a little dated but clean.

Cannot say enough good things about Michael’s place. The house was quiet, clean, and the whole process was incredibly easy. If anything, Michael is underselling his home. It’s in a convenient location and the amenities are more than sufficient. Even little touches like having bread, milk, and eggs was appreciated. He went above and beyond. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family had a great time. Kristen and Ted were very nice. I hope to secure their place again when we visit Pittsburgh again. Thank you for being a great host.

My family was in town for the US Open, as my son was a volunteer, and we were fortunate enough to get to stay at Becky's place. The home was beautiful, so clean and well taken care of. There were so many touches that were truly appreciated and Becky was such a great host. My dad is NOT a traveler, but this stay has changed his mind about vacationing. He didn't want to leave! 😆 5 stars, all around. Thanks for helping to make our time in Pittsburgh so special!

We were in Bloomfield for a wedding. Jeffrey's place is only 2 blocks from the main strip in Bloomfield. We parked the car and walked everywhere. Very convenient. A grocery store, pharmacy, and MANY restaurants nearby. The hosts provided bottled water and cupcakes from a local bakery. The house is clean and beautiful. The side stoop is excellent for peaceful morning coffee or an evening night cap. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament over memorial day weekend. Traveling with a toddler and teenagers can be very trying but Julie’s place gave us plenty of space to spread out…the outdoor space was a hit and offered a relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. The smart features can be a little confusing, but Julie is VERY RESPONSIVE, helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early and check out late with the flexibility offered by Julie and her dream team. The attention to detail and finishes made us feel right at home especially having so many toys, books and child friendly things for our little one to do! 5 stars isn’t enough! I give this place 10/10 and we will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Pittsburgh!

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Daniel’s airbnb over the weekend. It was in such a fantastic location in Pittsburgh. The main reason for our trip was to see the Phillies play the Pirates on Saturday night. The walk to PNC Park was only 10-15 minutes away from the house. Everything that we wanted to do while we stayed in the city was only 10 minutes or so away. The zoo, downtown, the Mac Miller mural in Etna, all the breweries and restaurants, were all extremely close to the home. We had a fantastic time staying in Daniel’s Airbnb and we cannot wait to visit the city again at some point.

There is no need for a couple (young or old) visiting Pittsburgh to look for any other place to stay. CLEAN!HOT water(not lukewarm),VERY COOL AC even on the most uncomfortable days. Host responses are virtually immediate. Bathroom is not cramped and is squeaky CLEAN. Extremely comfortable mattress and very nice quality linens.Nice tranquil outdoor area very neatly kept.Very QUIET,no street noise,great neighborhood! Not far from gas stations,Dunkin,and several other businesses. The Washington Junction “T line stop is only 3 miles away with ample free parking. Many stops including suburbs,downtown,PNC Park,and Acrisure Stadium. Christine is very friendly and cuts no corners on amenities. SENIOR CITIZENS or persons with physical limitations: This is a ground floor unit with no steps. Free off street parking is literally 6 feet from the entrance. Once again,this host and unit is second to none.
