Had fantastic stay at the lodge, which is very much on the lake! We enjoyed amazing views both during the day, and at night watching the stars. We had a lovely day out at Cefn Mably farm, very short walk from the lodge. A great Birthday weekend!

The inside was lovely with everything you needed but it was the views that made it. Sitting out on the patio watching the landscape change as the sun set and the mist rolled into the valley, whilst listening to the birds chatter in the trees below was wonderful.

Lovely, private cabin on the lake. Modern, clean, and well-equipped. Would stay again.

Absolutely loved our weekend getaway at the Cefn Mably Lakes cabins! The location is gorgeous, and the cabin is super cute, with everything you need. The wildlife is stunning, we saw so many frogs, fish, birds and even an Otter we named Oscar! The hot tub was perfect too, lovely to go in day or night. Owen’s really helpful, and replied almost instantly. We can’t thank you enough, would definitely recommend!

Chapel Cottage is a delightful countryside retreat that offers everything you could hope for in a peaceful escape. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning views across rolling green hills and the tranquil atmosphere. The cottage itself is charming and immaculately clean, with modern amenities that ensure a comfortable stay. We especially loved the private hot tub – a perfect way to unwind while gazing at the beautiful landscape. The garden and outdoor space are equally wonderful, with vibrant flowers and plenty of room for children to play. The local area is full of scenic walks and charming villages, making it a great base for exploring the region. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Chapel Cottage is an idyllic choice that combines comfort, relaxation, and breathtaking natural beauty. We can’t wait to return!

Great place for a quiet retreat. Peaceful, lakeside cabin with a lovely hot tub. We stayed in the Grebe lodge which you can’t fish from. There are others that you can fish from if that’s what you’re after. Reception has a shop that sells all your basic needs such as tea, coffee, sugar, chocolate and beers. I would recommend if you’re arriving after hours that you bring your own tea / coffee and milk as there are none in the cabins themselves. Would recommend a stay here and we will stay here again. A really relaxing weekend in the countryside wishing earshot of Cardiff.

Victoria & Craig have re-written the rulebook when it comes to hosting. Both were very very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. Nothing was too much trouble and every single detail you can think of was covered. The cabin was extremely well appointed in beautiful, peaceful, and very private surroundings! Everything was immaculate, it was impossible to believe that someone had stayed in it just before we arrived. Although completely left to our own devices the welcome pack, instruction book and decor made you feel like they were there to make sure you were having a good time. An extremely professional, beautiful and well run setup from two lovely people! Can’t wait to come back! Love to the Alpacas aswell!!

We had a lovely time at Rachel's home in Bleddfa. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedrooms have lovely views and a delight to wake up to. From the dining table you can watch the visiting birds on the bird feeder we even had a wood pecker visit. Fabulous to use the hot tub in the evening which was lovely and warm. Great to watch the sheep and we made a friend of Taff the very tame sheep who enjoyed a biscuit or 2. We visited the Elan Valley area, devils bridge and the kite feeding at Gigrin Farm. Lovely long weekend really enjoyed the home and will definitely visit again.

We had a lovely, chilled stay at the cabin with our dog. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bedding smelled lovely and fresh! The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, and let us know they were on hand if we needed anything. The cabin is small but perfectly equipped and thoughtfully furnished - it felt like a home from home. The garden is beautiful and so relaxing to sit and listen to the birds. We enjoyed watching the sun set over the forest from the deck with a glass of wine. There are plenty of walks in the forest just a few minutes from the cabin, which was ideal for our nervous dog. Unfortunately we didn't see the wild boar but did spot some deer on a morning walk. Overall we had a great time and would love to come back again!

Lovely place to stay - we had a group of 4 of us and loved every minute! Had everything we needed and we were even left some milk, tea bags etc and eggs. Very friendly host! Only thing I'd say is the hot tub may be tight if there are 5 in there but other than that everything was perfect 😊

This little break away was perfect for my partners 40th birthday. It was our first little break since having a baby and it was like home from home. The area was beautiful and private and the lodge was super clean. We’d definitely return for longer next time.

The photos do not do this place justice! We loved Steve’s place. Super dog friendly, especially the private woods at the back of the Shed. This place is really big, lots of space inside and out. Comfy bed and sofa. Had everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely recommend! Steve is super friendly and his guidebook super helpful.

What treasure of a lodge, such beautiful and quiet surroundings lots of wonderful wildlife In the gardens. Everything you could need for a a great holiday. Delia was helpful, up and above, such a lovely person and her dog nearly ended upon our car. gave lots of local places to eat and visit. Excellent host simply the best

Clare was such an attentive host, responding to messages at the point of booking very quickly. The Cabin was perfect for us, lovely surroundings, clean, cosy and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. We would 100% recommend anyone looking to get away to visit here. The garden views were lovely and the whole area was gorgeous. We visited the Cider Barn as per a recommendation from our host and it was fantastic! We will be back for sure.

Lovely place to stay as a couple who wants to disconnect and spend quality time together. Very peaceful surroundings. Host was very friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had! If you think it would suit you just go for it!

The cabin is set in a beautiful location and is roomy and well equipped. Even in February we were cosy and warm. There are thoughtful touches like board games which we enjoyed playing. There was a handy guide to local restaurants and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. We would highly recommend Tessa’s cabin , Thank you Rose & Adrian

Amazing lodge, most perfect getaway so peaceful and relaxing and it felt right at home! One of the best places I've stayed and the hosts were so friendly!! Would definitely recommend, the hot tub with the birds singing were beautiful and the comfiest sofas and great kitchen for homemade meals!!

We had a fantastic family break at Penny’s place. It was a peaceful, relaxed break in beautiful surroundings - just what we needed. Perfect for a busy toddler - all on one level and plenty of space for the children to play outside. Clean and comfortable.
