Beach house holiday rentals in Mission Bay, San Diego

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb right on Mission Beach! The location couldn’t be better, just steps from the sand and perfect for a relaxing, chill vibe. The house was super clean, beautifully decorated, and very kid-friendly, which made it perfect for our family. The host, Evan was incredibly accommodating, even with some last-minute changes we had. He checked in to see if we needed anything and was always responsive and kind throughout our stay. We really appreciated the great communication and hospitality. Overall, we absolutely loved the experience and would definitely stay here again!

Location, location, location. Michael’s home is where you want to be. Less than a block to the bay and a short beautiful block to walk to the ocean. The beds were so comfortable after a long day at the beach. The showers were great and never ran out of hot water. As a family of six, we found the space spacious yet homey. It was our first time to San Diego and we hope to stay here again, hopefully for two weeks next time. Thank you, Michael!

Excellent location which met our needs. Cute and cozy with a large great room. Dennis was very communicative by responding quickly to any questions that we had during our stay. We enjoyed our stay as we came into town for a family wedding.

This was our second time staying at Angela’s place and it was even better than the last time. We love the additions they have done to elevate the storage and comfort. Angela was very responsive to my questions and even sent something to the house the wasn’t restocked for us. We would stay here over and over again. Our family of 7 fit perfectly and the best part was being so close to the beach, bay, and shops.

Lori's place was a great spot near Mission Beach. She and her team were very responsive and friendly. They allowed us to check in a few minutes early to accomodate our toddler. They had a pack n' play, as well as plenty of kids books available. The rooftop was great, and the space was clean and as advertised. The stairs were a bit tricky with a two year old (there were a lot of them) but we knew that going into it. Overall, a family friendly spot with great proximity to the beach and local restaurants and coffee! They also had boogie boards and chairs for the beach, which was a nice bonus. I would recommend!

Scott was so responsive and accommodating as we got into town a little before our check in time. We were able to store our luggage in the garage so we could go enjoy the boardwalk and have some lunch before we checked in. The spot was beautiful and so close to everything. Definitely will stay again!

Meron’s place was absolutely incredible! We’ve been coming to mission beach for 11 years and this was definitely one of, if not the best place we’ve ever stayed at. The location is perfect, the street is quiet, and the house is adorable. It is immaculately clean and has every amenity you could need. The attention to detail makes the house cozy and a comfortable landing place for a long stay. I could not recommend this cottage enough - perfect for our family! We will be back and we can’t wait!

This is probably one of my favorite Airbnb properties we've ever stayed in!! Ricardo was such an amazing host...great recommendations, checked in with us to see if we needed anything and was responsive the entire stay. The place felt just like home! Located on a beautiful street with gorgeous houses and walking distance to the beach and boardwalk (literally a block away), grocery store (an easy walk) and fantastic restaurants all within walking distance. No car needed. The place is breathtaking...very romantic! Extremely private and so cozy and super clean!! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was fantastic, especially with the fireplace and TV which we used almost every night. We used the grill and it was perfect for a night in. If your dates are available, book it immediately...I promise you will not be disappointed! We can't wait to come back and stay here again! Ricardo, you're the best! Thank you for everything!!! :))

Me and my family stayed over the weekend and we loved Sara’s home beautiful! The pool is a plus one. It was cold when we went, but we still manage to get in , the house was clean. It had everything we can’t wait to come back when it’s more hot!

The unit was well equipped having everything we needed. Owner was helpful and proactive. We didn't have any issues. The community deck over the ocean was fantastic. The beach here is wide enough to never have to worry about low tide or high tide. The unit provides a private stairway to the beach, while it is also a distance to get to for the public, resulting in an amazing beach with no crowds. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and perfect for my sister and I to take our families on a vacation. Lots of space for the 4 and 6 year old girls to play and the adults to relax. Will definitely look to come back in the future!

We stayed at Pete's place because it has a gorgeous pool (the pool slide was a huge hit), is close to Del Mar racetrack, and is close to the beach/ocean (you can see the ocean from the front yard). We took our two Bichons and felt safe and secure letting them out. We have family in San Diego and had a small family cook out on Sunday. The grill was awesome, and there are lots of fun things to do on the property, front and back yards. We didn't take advantage of the jacuzzi, but it was already heated up. Since the house doesn't have air conditioning, there were fans in the family room and bedroom. Large kitchen, so you can cook and bake if you don't want to eat out all the time. The house is single story, but outside there are lots of levels where you have to go up and down some single steps,so small children would need help and elderly or disabled folks may need help, too. Pete gave great directions about how to access the main entrance, and the self check-in security code.

Great place! Especially if traveling with kids. Very clean and has all the comforts of home. The yard is a bonus for letting little ones play. Mari was helpful and accommodating and easy to communicate with. My family was actually set to stay at another one of their properties but at the last minute, (and due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control), we were unable to stay at the original booking. But Mari was quick to reach out to me and was very helpful at getting us booked at another location. Definitely recommend and would stay again!

Beautiful home and great location. The pool and upper deck are private and you can see the ocean from both patios !

What a great place to stay! The views were amazing and so nice to sleep to the surf. Plenty of room the spread out and great to enjoy the couch or table while swatching the surf. Kitchen was great and beds were comfortable. Beach was a 5 min walk down the beach and plenty of shops and restaurants around. Wyatt was great to communicate with. Definitely will be back!

We stayed at Maria's place for a very quick trip and needed room for family members. It was perfect. Maria was wonderful about communicating and I truly appreciate her flexibility with family members checking in. The place is a great set up for children, too. My five-year-old grand daughter was with us, and she has games and other things for children to do, including boogie boards for when the weather is warmer. I would love to return sometime and actually spend a few more days enjoying the area. We were there for a graduation with a fast turnaround, and to be honest, I wanted to stay longer!

Great experience all around! I plan to book again. The place is so clean and so close to the Bay and the beach. Parking is easy enough and the restaurants near by are fantastic. The bed is soft as can be, and the vibe is so cool. Thanks so much!

Feel like I got so lucky when I was able to book Heather's place after deciding, at the last minute, to help my son move down to Pacific Beach! The location is perfect, the home is clean, comfortable, light and looks like just the photos. The front patio made it perfection. Heather is very friendly and very responsive. I will definitely book here again if it is available.

From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and relaxed. The pictures were very accurate and the house is very nice. We met the neighbors on the first or second day and they were very friendly— had nice things to say about our hosts and offered assistance if we needed anything. We love to walk and found everything on Coronado to be within walking distance. Beautiful spot— we hope to return!

This was the perfect getaway for me and my family. I was my last trip with my son before her leaves to the Navy and also his Birthday trip. he had so much fun and it was so nice to see him be a kid again. this place was close to everything a teenager would want with a beautiful view of the ocean that was only steps away from us. we will be back.

Loved the oceanfront location!

Steve and Catherine's place was phenomenal and I would 100% book this location again. We stayed at the house for a girls trip and were BEYOND impressed by the home. It truly was a serene and peaceful retreat that was so accessible to restaurants, shops and more. Steve was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the whole process from booking all the way to check out. He even went above and beyond to get beach towels added to the property so we didn't have to pack any in our suitcases when I mentioned we were going to go to the beach for a day. All my girlfriends LOVED the place and every person said they'd come back next time they were in the area. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a great time in San Diego at Heathers place! We actually wish we would have stayed an extra day! We went to mission beach, mission bay, Coronado island, we checked out the San Diego Temple (closed for improvements but still breath taking) Her house fit our family of 6 perfectly with the 3 rooms. It was clean, the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy. There were fans and sound machines which helped us all sleep better. But the bikes were me and my husband’s favorite!! We had so much fun riding the bikes around we wish we would have done it more! The bikes were definitely adult sized though so we took turns going. We just came for a relaxing get away and it fit the spot. Heather was super attentive and responsive. We loved the home, the host, and the area! We highly recommend it and we would stay here again!! We hope to come back again soon!
