Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mirissa

Perfect stay for some relaxed and peaceful days in a stylish, clean and lovely villa. We stayed for three nights with our kids and couldnt recommend this gem of a villa enough: Gianluca is a great host: always available & super friendly. Ira is a treasure: also always available and did everything to make our stay even more comfortable. We immediately felt like home and the style and athmosphere in the villa is just amazing. We spent the sunny days at the pool with the beatiful sorroundings. The Villa was very clean and perfectly eqquiped & furnished. See you next time in Ahangama 🙌

Me and my friends visited Sri Lanka for the first time ever and we were so in luck to stay at Sunil’s beautiful villa and experience their warm hospitality. We not only thoroughly enjoyed our stay there but were in love with the villa, the surroundings, the peace it comes with, and the people who run it. Sunil, and co. thank you so much for letting us in, and take back with us a bag full of memories.

We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

The treehouse is an amazing place to stay for exploring the south coast of Sri Lanka. The location is very private and enclosed but still close to the towns of Unawatuna and Galle. The treehouse itself was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and even have a BBQ! The pool was a great size and depth with a cool rope swing. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, with a very friendly doorman. We wish we could have stayed longer as this was the highlight of our trip.

We loved staying at Shaun’s villa! Out of the eight places we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, this was our favorite. The location, the villa, and being so close to the ocean was just what we needed. The villa was clean, well looked after, and felt really welcoming. Whenever we had a question, we got a quick and helpful reply, which made everything super easy. We also really liked the great food just across the street, which we could easily order to the villa. And being close to The Doctor’s House was a big plus – fun weekend market and tasty dinners in the evenings. We’re a family of four and felt super comfortable here. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

Our stay here was comfortable and pleasant. The host was so kind and generous. Harshani even went out of her way to prepare breakfast and lunch for us which was delicious and homely. We felt right at home at the stay. The stay is 4mins walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The host was very responsive and the stay looks just like in the pictures -clean. Highly recommend this stay!

Ruwan is a very dear person who goes out of her way to make sure you don't miss anything. The place looked exactly like the pictures. Everything was very clean. There was a fridge full of free water. Breakfast times were by arrangement, which we found very pleasant. Breakfast could have varied a bit more (there was the same thing every day). Ruwan organized transportation to the next accommodation at the Uber price. And the driver was also very nice. We took a trip to the turtles and Galle along with Ruwan, which I had honestly imagined a little differently. I thought he was like a tourist guide who also gives us information, but he just drove us. I found the price to be a bit too high for that. But it was still very nice and a good idea. We do not regret having spent 4 nights at Ruwan's and can recommend it with a clear conscience. I'd love to go there again.

We have stayed in around 180 Airbnbs and this is stand out one of the best! THE most fully equipped property we have ever come across, with all sorts of unexpected items such as mosquito repellent coils, filtered water, cooking oils and first aid kit! Eva and her manager, Tharush were amazingly friendly and accommodating. 5 star service and facilties to match! Can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing host and the space was extremely homely. It was picturesque and exactly as the photos advertised. The amenities were functional and the space in itself was well maintained and clean. It was an Eco-friendly abode. It was a calm and peaceful stay. A little away from the hustle and bustle but the distance to other restaurants and shops were pretty close by and walkable. Transportation was also easily available.

Very good experience overall. Very clean, good location. Host was very responsive and we even got late check out :) I would for sure recommend staying here.

This place was brilliant. It was spacious, very clean, had great ac and a powerful ceiling fan. It is so close for places to eat and five mins from the beach. I would highly recommend this room. The host was also very communicative and helpful.

A place you never want to leave... In the middle of a forest, surrounded by a variety of animals, lies this little paradise. Beach, shops and restaurants are in walking distance and also really good. We were happy to eat local dishes in Cool Place and right next to it also discovered the bakery, who sells his bread from the bakery (absolute secret tip). Amila is always easily accessible and helps where he can. I was surfing with him and he organized for us a day trip to the rainforest, which he even accompanied us to. The driver was a piece of gold and stopped for us countless times so we could take photos. Amila has become a good friend and we miss him and the Banana Leaf House already.

We had a great time at Joanne’s place. The house is centrally located with all good restaurants, supermarket, currency exchange stores and local market being just a stone’s throw away from the house. Joanne is extremely responsive and is very friendly. The folks down at the ice cream parlor are warm too. Overall a great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anybody who is looking to explore Ahangama!

As soon as we arrived, Chanuka received us with sincerity. Their welcome drinks were amazing. The house was as beautiful as the pictures. We were impressed by the sincerity of their entire family. And the check-out day was truly amazing. They organized breakfast and lunch for us. We had a wonderful few days. Those who want to visit Galle can rest assured in this house. Very nice stay with this lovely family! They are very loving and truely cared about me. They made some food and shared it. Everything what I needed was there. Would highly recommend as a homestay.

We had such a wonderful stay. Ranjit is very kind and he's home feels very authentintic and is beautifully curated We travelled with our toddler and felt very safe and cared for

We experienced excellent hospitality from Mr Nihal and his wife during our very short stay at Galle. The apartment was exactly as advertised, spacious, squeaky clean and all listed amenities functional. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning in the room was a plus to beat the humid Galle weather. The area was quiet, peaceful and a short tuk tuk ride away from the Fort. The hosts were extremely helpful when we had trouble figuring out the shower and they also provided us with tea and snacks before our early morning check-out. We truly appreciate their kindness and thoughtfulness towards their guests. Highly recommend this stay at Galle.

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!

The place is great. bed is comfortable, kitchen well equipped and very well located. a few minutes walk to the main beach and 15 minutes to Secret Beach. Prabodi is incredibly kind and helpful, and very responsive. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place! It’s close to all of the major attractions. The place is very clean and has just about anything you could need. The hosts are helpful and kind. I highly recommend this stay to anyone.
