Beach house holiday rentals in Miller Beach, Gary

Our eldest was 85! Our youngest was 17 months old! Lots of ages in between! Everyone always found something to do! This is a spacious house and very practically furnished! You never feel crowded! I can’t think of a thing we needed in the kitchen! It was equipped with everything! The beach was pristine, with the waves of Lake Michigan, which you could see from the Sun/Game room! The walk down to the beach was so easy, and when you came back up to the house, you felt you had just had your workout for the day! Every time we had a question for the host or co-hosts, we had an immediate answer! If you want an easy, relaxing vacation, give ShangraLa a try!

We had a spectacular stay in the cottage. It was not only the most perfect location, but also a beautiful space to stay. Very pretty design, and also the most comfortable and relaxing sleep we’ve had in a rental. The beach access was convenient and the nicest beach we’ve visited. We hope to visit again soon.

The return trip was even better than the first! We enjoyed the balcony, the woods across the street add to the relaxation. The uncrowded beach made the sunset even better

Simply beautiful! My daughter ( 7 year old) and my goddaughter ( 5 year old) enjoyed themselves! We loved the layout, beautiful scenery, spacious rooms, the updated amenities, the spa bathtub and the outdoor patio swing is amazing! This house is somewhere you can relax and rewind, enjoy yourself and feel safe at! Angie, is the best! I recommend you stay at Angie’s beach house! You will love this house!!!!!!

We stayed here for a friends trip of Memorial Day weekend and it was lovely! The walk to the beach was a short distance down the stairs, and the walk up the stairs definitely gives you a good workout. The hosts were very responsive to all messages that were sent during our stay. We hope to visit again!

The place was great! We had 14 people, 11 being adults and the eating area had more than enough space to accommodate all of us comfortably. The 1st floor deck is larger than it appears in the pictures and the home came more stocked than we expected with bathroom and dish soaps, toilet paper, paper towels and laundry needs, all a bonus! We ate in for most of our meals but do recommend The Sugar Bowl for breakfast, the food and service were both great as well as Bubbles for an ice cream stop! The only negative, not having anything to do with the house itself, is the walk to and mostly from the beach. The dune coming back is quite steep and even with 3 fit guys, we had some trouble with the wagon and paddle boards (and us middle aged ladies, getting ourselves…lol) back up the dune. Would definitely stay here again though!

This is the second time my family has stayed at this home, and this stay was just as great as the first. The host is extremely responsive, helpful, and accommodating. His home is beautiful, meticulously kept, is in a great location, and is one of the nicest in the area. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in northwest Indiana!

What an absolutely lovely home right on Bass Lake! The location was perfect and the house itself was immaculate and perfect in every possible way. Lots of touches that put it above and beyond but my favorite part were the linens and pillows—so rare to sleep better away from home but it was incredibly comfortable.

We had a great time! It was a perfect house for our large extended family! Spacious main living and every room had its own bathroom! Walkable to the pool and Lake Michigan! Host was very accommodating and helpful whenever we had questions! We will definitely be back!

Our stay for a last-minute golf trip worked out perfectly. Hazel was very kind and the place was easy to access. All courses and Casino were within 15 min radius of the place. Was slightly difficult to find an uber/lyft but we managed. Thank you!

Crystal's place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Crystal sent us all the information we needed for check in and responded to any messages very quickly. The house is very nice and lots of room. It had a lot of restaurants nearby and was a great place to stay to visit the Indiana Dunes. Would definitely stay again!

Had a wonderful time staying at Dunetop Escape! The owners were very nice and responsive. Very knowledgeable about the area and made some awesome recommendations. The house was spotless and very accommodating. The house has a lot of usable space and even more sleeping areas! Loved that they made beach days so easy as they had everything you may ever need. Will absolutely be looking to book this location again and look forward to exploring more of Michigan City.

Loved the chance to stay at the Sunshine Inn and would love to come back someday. We enjoyed the lake and the pool area, it was so convenient to be able to get food at the snack shop. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. We brought bikes and were able to go north or south for great rides to visit other nearby towns. Highly recommend the house! I didn’t see any check out instructions unfortunately until after we left as they came through by email and I hadnt checked them email til we left. Somehow those instructions didn’t show on the air bnb app. Thanks for letting us use your slice of heaven!

Oh my, where do I start 🥰 Diamond was the Best host and we had a fabulous stay! She's was very quick to respond and resolve a few issues we had, power outage lol. She had everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing, 😎 And we lived to tell about the Dust Storm of 2025!!😅 We will return.❤️
