Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Middleton

We loved the cottage very comfortable amazing views in a beautiful setting. The hot tub overlooking the lake was idyllic. Sarah was a fabulous host nothing was too much trouble. Children friendly games etc well equipped the grandchildren loved the cats visiting, feeding the goats treats and playing in the garden. Plenty of wonderful walks we loved the canal walks stumbled across great cafes pubs and local shops...the local pub the junction had a great menu and food was delicious. We would definitely come back again thanks again Sarah

I live locally and brought my mum and little furry friend to stay at Carr Cottage for a couple nights while we were having work done on our place. We were looking for somewhere comfortable and clean to get away for a few days and maybe enjoy a few nice walks with the dog. We got all that and more. This cottage was such a lovely respite and we enjoyed every second of our stay. It was the perfect little place for us to have a much needed rest & ease the burden of all the craziness going on back home. The scenery was gorgeous, the location peaceful & picturesque, and the cottage wonderfully cozy. Everything was lovingly prepared and clearly done with a lot of care. We were very impressed with absolutely everything and appreciate that so much thought was put into every aspect of the home and making our stay as comfortable as possible. Despite living locally, we don’t venture up Luddenden nearly enough and we would love to come again. Thank you for everything!

Excellent property, fantastic location, great local pub, lovely walks! Jo was an excellent host. The one hiccup was checking in, we didn't have access to the code for the key lock on arrival. The app said contact the 'host', so we did. The problem was, 'Jo' was on her hols too, so not immediately responsive. Jo said this was an issue she had not experienced before, but was able to sort the problem immediately. We couldn't have asked for more than that. Thank you for letting us stay at your home Jo.

We stayed here for a week late May/early June and all agreed that this is one of the nicest places -- if not the nicest -- that we have ever stayed in. The airbnb itself is beautiful. Simon was a gracious and generous host and had left the kitchen stocked with all kinds of goodies which he encouraged us to consume. We had 3 dinners at the Shoulder of the Mutton -- just because we so much liked their food -- took a number of hikes, checked out Liverpool and visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park [very much worth the hour drive] and Chatworth. All was stunning. I can't recommend this place more highly.

A beautiful loft apartment located in the centre of Bollington. spotlessly clean, welcoming and warm. The host Nick was very helpful & available and willing to offer advice on the local area. The beds were so comfy and cozy with high quality bed linen. we would highly recommend the loft to anyone wanting to explore the Cheshire countryside.

Perfect for our weekend. The accommodation was perfect, in fact we were taken back with how there cupboards were full off useful things…. Condiments, sauces, toiletries and that’s just a few I can mention. Appreciated the milk, bread, butter, nice gesture and makes a difference to some places who don’t offer that. Host also helped us out when our car broke down whilst we were there and went above and beyond to help sort it out for us. Overall the place was lovely, more than I actually expected, clean, tidy and perfect. Would definitely stay again if ever visiting Wigan. Thank you

Mike's place was perfect for our 3 night trip to the Colne Valley. The farm shop just across the road and pub a short walk away were very handy. The place was very clean and had everything we needed, and we felt really comfortable as soon as we walked through the front door. Would lo e to come back and explore the area more.

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. Gina’s apartment was wonderful and in a fantastic location. It was spotless and well-equipped, with plenty of toiletries, cleaning supplies, towels, and more. We also appreciated the thoughtful provision of basic breakfast supplies, including milk. The internet worked perfectly, and there was a smart TV with free satellite channels and apps like Netflix, which we could easily log into. Gina was an exceptional host, offering great communication and a warm, friendly attitude. We even had a lovely chat before we left, and it felt like we’d known each other for years! I only wish I could have stayed longer to continue the conversation.

We had a fabulous stay at the bunker when going to a wedding at a nearby farm. Diana couldn’t have done more for us & was very kind, especially letting my nephew feed the chickens and fuss the dog. It is a spacious & comfortable home from home in the lovely town of Holmfirth.
