Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead

We booked our stay for a 30th birthday weekend with family, the house is stunning and has everything you need and more. Perfect for a celebration. The stay was perfect from start to finish, the only downside we would say was the 10am check out, which we feel is a bit too early especially when check in isn’t until 4pm - When asked for a later check out there was a charge even though there was nobody else due to stay that day. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and would recommend Kimberley and her lovely home. Thank you for having us.

Tom has been an extremely helpful and his house was an ideal base for an overnight stay prior to exploring Durham. Great value for money providing a good kitchen space to eat and a lovely couple of bedrooms. Thank you Tom we would stay again if we are visiting this area.

Absolutely gorgeous house in a beautiful location. Everything was spotless. Angela was a brilliant host, and left lots of extra finishing touches to make our stay 10/10. We will definitely stay here again, and would recommend in a heartbeat.

The house was light, airy and spacious - the large rooms were perfectly equipped for our family gathering. A mixture of furnishing styles, but a comfortable and welcoming house. Although 20 minutes drive to Newcastle city centre, there were plenty of frequent buses available close by

Excellent house, just a few minutes walk from Jesmond Dene. Well equipped and beautifully decorated. Lovely comfy beds and sofa. We really enjoyed sitting out in the sunny garden having our breakfast! Thank you!

We stayed here for one night when visiting Durham - it was perfect. From the moment we stepped foot through the front door, it felt like home. The property was exactly as described and had everything we needed. If visiting the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again.

Wonderful hosts; friendly and responsive. Great location that was close to the main shops, pubs and restaurants in Hexam as well as for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Extremely well equipped and clean. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous, stylish and comfortable flat in a great location for exploring the city. Everything has been thought about: the interior design, the kitchen equipment, the parking permits and the coffee pods, and everything was comfortable and stress free. Spotlessly clean, impeccable comms and a really friendly welcome. There is some road noise, so if you're not normally a city dweller, you could be disturbed. Wasn't a problem for us - highly recommend.

Nice quiet area, flat was spotless Linda was very friendly and helpful, near the Metro station so easy to get into Newcastle City centre, really nice stay.

The Nook is a beautiful flat to stay in. Very clean and cute, the host was very helpful and replied quickly. Loved the stay.

We are just home from a great stay at Neil’s place ., the apartment was as advertised. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. There was lots of room for our group of 5 friends . The living area was especially spacious, we loved it. Location wise it is only 5 mins walk from the train station where you can get a metro to the airport or taxi. No need for a car. Really centrally located in the city centre near all shops restaurants etc. We were in town for a concert in the Utilita Arena which was only a 10 min walk. Neil was very friendly and helpful with all our questions and needs to make this a great stay. We will stay again next time we are in Newcastle . 5 stars !
