I've stayed at Calley's places many times. You can beat the ski-in/ski-out location. She has made some nice upgrades to the units over the years and always does a great job with the communication. Her property manager is a great guy and is very responsive if issues arise. You can't go wrong staying here.

Great place to stay at. Nothing beats being able to just walk out of you back door and be on the ski hill. Has everything anyone would need plus more.

The house was exactly as described in a beautiful setting, right on the ski hill. Beautiful property. All amenities included as described except for soap and shampoo for the shower I recommend bringing your own. The host was extremely responsive and great to work with. We will definitely recommend and planning on making this an annual trip. There are a series of hikes and 5 waterfalls just down the road about 15 minutes. We had a great stay

This is a very nice and spacious place in a convenient building whether you are skiing at Black River (which is ski in - ski out) or Jackson Creek Summit which is only 10 minutes away and has easy parking. Calley is super responsive and easy to work with.

It was a perfect place for a get-a-away! Clean and comfortable and the option of kitchenware was sufficient for some basic cooking. I would definitely recommend for a single person or a couple, maybe not for a family with multiple children; everything is so close together it would be hard to not wake up the kids or vs-versa.

Tim’s place was very relaxing for the early weekend getaway! Would def stay with host again!

Calley is a really great host. This place is clean and comfortable with two full bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s super convenient to Black River. True ski in / ski out. Easy drive to Jackson Creek and other local areas. These are some of the best accommodations in the area with a great host. Highly recommend! We will be back.

Wedel Haus was a great little triplex unit that is super close to Snow River's Jackson Summit. There are other cabins around, but it is a very quiet neighborhood. The cozy indoor gas fireplace and outdoor hot tub on the deck were perfect for our ski weekend. The hot tub and deck area are shared so there is a fair amount of communal outdoor space. Having friends rent the other units is a nice option. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find.

I will definitely be back! This location is great! We were able to experience the fall colors. Right on the water with great experience for sunset/sunrise. The cabin was extremely clean. Mick and Lollie provided excellent recommendations for local attractions, places to eat, activities, and pictures to show the space. It was a great experience!!

Hemlock Haven was an absolute gem to stay at. The place was very nice, with really nice furnishings and very well stocked. The drive in is just gorgeous and very private. We walked our dog off leash daily and never ran into anyone. Felt like we had the world to ourselves. Fishing was pretty good too. We caught walleye, perch, northern and a few small Muskie. Bob was so helpful and gave us lots of tips and places to try out. The out door deck in the back is so cool and where we spent lots of time cooking, eating, and listening to music. We never turned on the tv once! It is tight to go up to the master bedroom which is accessed by a spiral staircase. We stayed in the bunk room because we didn’t want to leave our senior dog downstairs alone in a strange place, so we had to bring our luggage upstairs as there really isn’t anywhere to put anything downstairs. It was impossible to get my luggage up but managed to move some stuff around and make it work. This was the only negative! 5 stars!

We enjoyed our stay to soak up a few more sunny days of summer. Downtown was extremely walkable and the view of the lake was gorgeous. The space was comfortable for relaxing after a day of adventure and had everything we needed. The decor really provided a cabin and “Up North” feel.

Jim was extremely responsive to our messages and resolved problems quickly. The lodge itself is beautiful with a great lakefront. We had a wonderful time!

We were able to unwind and relax. There was a large picture window facing the lake. It was not unusual to see a doe with her fawn eating clover through the picture window early in the morning. We played pool in the evening and hung out. There were trails we explored and we hunted mushrooms. We mostly just took pictures of the mushrooms. We left the mushrooms for the wildlife to eat. There is always something to do at the Ruffed Grouse Lodge. Or not if you just wish to relax.

Cozy getaway…great lake, but it was challenging to find restaurants to eat at nearby that offered healthy options (most of the food choices were friend and most places had the same 5-8 things on the menu). We brought some food from home, but were unprepared for the dining pitfall. The trip was still great, but it would be hard for a diabetic or someone who needed to eat healthy to stay without cooking all meals in the cabin. Great cabin, though, and pristine lake. Location and cabin were a homerun!

Thank you so much for sharing your incredible home. It truly stands out as one of a kind, with so much amazing stuff to admire. The property is extremely well set up. We spent a lot of time playing hand golf, and the boys enjoyed whiffle ball in the large front yard and swimming. The lake front area is all sand. The kids loved it!!We couldn’t keep them out of the water. The fire pit is right off the water which made for some great sunset campfires. This place is perfect for two families. Between the cottage, the boathouse, and the main house there’s just so much room. The property is just simply fantastic, and I can’t help but feel jealous. Thanks again!

Great condo, wonderful location, Jon was amazing at answering any questions, and we love that it’s pet friendly.

A group of us came to Collin’s place for a fishing trip. This place is awesome! The dock was perfect for our pontoon rental. Really enjoyed the kayaks and row boat that were provided as well. The space was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything you could want for a trip up north. Collin was very responsive and helpful with a few questions on where to find things. The kitchen is fully stocked, which was appreciated by our group cooking multiple meals per day. The location is great too. Only 10 minutes to the nearest Grocery store, and about 20 minutes to some of the “larger” towns in the area . Highly recommend little Bohemia lodge for their Friday/Wednesday fish fry. The food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere is very unique. We would love to stay here again.

Was such a beautiful place on a beautiful island. The house was so unique and very comfortable, with a beautiful dining table for nightly meals. Gorgeous beach access and lovely quiet streets for morning walks. I loved the person touches and learning a bit about the Payne family. We will come back in the summer!

We absolutely loved staying at Jason Black River Retreat! It had everything we needed, was very clean, the property and trails well maintained. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was just as she described it and it was a homey stay for us while we enjoyed a weekend of skiing. We really liked having a fire in the evenings and there was space for us to dry our clothes from the day. The only bummer was having people stay above us. The floors were very creeky, but ear plugs helped with that while sleeping. Overall, we were happy with our choice to stay here and would definitely do it again.

This was my family's 2nd time staying. The home is very comfortable and enough space for my family and our dog. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great fishing lake. Peaceful and relaxing neighborhood. Close to local shopping. We will not hesitate to stay again!

It was the perfect for families to go and stay! The baby gates on stairs were an added touch that as parents of littles made us feel that much more comfortable being there.
