Family-friendly holiday rentals in Medway

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Wendy's place for my birthday. Can say it was my favourite birthday, from the spacious area, massive garden, luxurious hot tub and all in all nice area; I had nothing to complain about. Wendy was very helpful, making sure we had everything in check, making sure we found it easy and straightforward to find the place and even on the day of departure wished us well on our drive back. It honestly felt like a home away from home, so many beautiful sights which are easy to get to, a tesco just down the road which had everything we needed and the beds were oh so comfortable. The overall vibe of the area and the bnb was very relaxing, I felt completely safe and stress free despite being in an area I've never been before and I already have plans on staying there again. The only complaint I have is that I didn't stay longer hahaha. But if you have your eyes on this place, trust me. You wont regret it.

Such a beautiful place and the hosts were really friendly. This area of Kent has so many lovely walks, we really enjoyed visiting some local churches. The shepherd’s hut has all the essentials, and the decking and hot tub overlooking the lake are glorious. It was lovely meeting the hosts’ spaniel!

when we arrived we was met by wendy who gave clear instructions and helpful hints wendy was very friendly the scenery was lovely, outstanding country side with great walks with the dogs and they were free and safe to run around in the garden the house was very comfortable we all really enjoyed our stay so thank you so much wendy and nigel

We were visiting family close by and now we have a dog it’s easier for us to stay in an Airbnb. We would highly recommend staying at the chicken shed. It was very spacious but cosy. Very clean and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We will definitely be back.

The yurt at bore place was perfect! The kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was so comfortable. Chris is an amazing host, very attentive and helpful. We had the best few days. The farm is beautiful, we loved watching the cows walk to and from the milking parlour everyday. The children had plenty to keep them occupied with the playground and all the nature we were surrounded by, the dog had the best time on the walking trails. The surrounding areas are very beautiful. We can’t wait to go back!

Great place for a family holiday exploring Southend on Sea / Leigh on Sea. We stayed at Katrina & Matt's funky family home with our children, some friends and their children for a week in August. Everyone had a great time, and loved the style of the house and the location. We visited the beach at Bell Warf, Festival Aquapark, Southend Pier, Adventure Island, Garon Park Golf Complex, Colchester Zoo, several cafe's and restaurants in Leigh and Southend and had a great UK Staycation.

Idyllic and peacefully! A serene retreat in the countryside of Kent. Anne the host was great and provided an awesome welcome package. We will be back!

What's not to love about this place? Absolutely nothing. The pictures are exactly how the room is, it maybe small but there is everything you need! As well as the basic kitchen equipment there is a hot plate, slow cooker and egg cooker, cafetiere, tea pot and complimentary tea, coffee, milk pots and biscuits. The bedding and towels were top notch . Everything was spotless the crockery and glasses included. The balcony has a table and 2 comfy chairs where you can sit and relax listening to the birds in the garden. It is very peaceful. Both Jonathan & Jackie are fantastic hosts, they respond quickly to messages and are both very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a 3 night break and was fully refreshed and relaxed. Cliffs Pavilion is only a short 5 min walk, Rossi Ice cream about another 5 mins down steps to seafront. This was our 2nd time staying but will definitely be back.

Great place for a large group or family, Plenty to do Tennis, Swimming, Table tennis, football, BBQ and Fire pits and outside dinning. great setting/ surrounding and nice walks around the surrounding fields and vineyards and orchards. Location is very remote which is a positive to some people but negative if you want to explore the area, its 10 mins through singletrack lanes to get to a main road. Property was spacious and well equipped but needs some decoration refresh and inside and out, all doors where very difficult to get in out of as all the doors and locks kept ceasing up or swelling in the heat, on all properties. All in all a great place to stay for a large group or family event and reasonably priced, just need a bit of TLC

Marina’s home is cozy and comfortable with necessary facilities. The environment is quiet and beautiful, and the location is very convenient to walk around at the Thames riverside and the fields or to enjoy in Haven Recreation Centre. Haven Holiday Park is a nice place must be recommended. A nice place to enjoy the nature. Nice sunrise and sunset.
