Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in McHenry

We loved it! 2min walk to the ski lifts and 2min away from the lake by car. Super clean and cozy and a lot of restaurants and bars within 10min drive. The host is super friendly and very responsive. We are visiting McHenry about 20 days per year and definitely this one will be our first priority Thank you for your hospitality...you will see us again

My friends and I had a weekend getaway and it was more than we could have ever asked for. We are all frequent airbnbers, and we all agreed that Lav's home was one of the most gorgeous, pristine homes that we've ever stayed in. We we're so impressed! It was so peaceful, private and lavish. It was centrally located to everything that the resort had to offer, so we were barely having to drive. Check-in was easy peasy, and Lav was so proactive with her communication. I was beyond impressed and would recommend her home to all of my friends and families.

My family and I had a great time. Went to visit my son for thanksgiving week. He's a student athlete at Waynesburg University. We had a great time. It was priceless. The house was beautiful. Sitting on top of the ski slope which was right in our backyard by the way. Even found toys for my grandson in the game room closet. My son has 3 more years of school and I think we found a new temporary home for when we go to visit him. These guys owe me nothing! It was all worth it! Thanks...

Prime location on the mountain next to multiple ski slopes and lifts. The snow was beautiful and perfect for skiing on the mountain. You’re really paying for this location here. It is in the Wisp Resort, hosted by Red Barn rentals. If you ski or snowboard, this is your spot. It was very convenient to get ready at the house and walk over to the slopes without the hassle of loading up the car and everyone having to go together. People could come and go as they please. The house has 4 comfortable bedrooms, each with bathrooms attached or nearby so everyone was very comfortable in their space. Check in was an additional fee, unfortunately so we couldn’t really get out the first evening by the time we checked in so make sure to book multiple days and get your $ worth. There was a grocery a few minutes away, at the bottom of the mountain so that made it convenient to get our food. Also, bring extra firewood b/c it goes quick and it’s expensive! The wood burning fireplaces were great to have.

Beautiful home right on the slopes. We had an amazing time enjoying the views by the big fireplace, or in the hot tub after skiing.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The view is beautiful. Taylor-Made was very responsive to any questions or issues. We loved the wood burning fireplace and it was a great bonus to have wood provided. (Didn’t know the ash bucket was up in the loft area - kids told me AFTER we left). A few things for guests to know; There are not extra towels for hot tub use (picked up from previous reviewer). We brought our own pool towels which worked out great. I also believe that the listing should mention that this ski-in, ski-out location is on a black-diamond trail. We had a few who were unwilling /unable to do this and therefore had to drive up to the upper lot or down to the base. In the kitchen, there are really no storage containers for leftovers- don’t forget to bring your own including, baggies, aluminum foil, or plastic wrap. There are 2crock-pots (regular size), 2 electric griddles, lots of cookie sheets - but you will want to use baking sheets on these. Grocery store is close

Tina and Robert provided an amazing home for my group to stay at for a short ski weekend! The townhouse was way bigger than expected and all amenities you could think of were there! They were responsive and instructions were easy. Kitchen stocked with all you could need and fun games for families or for the summer months. The hot tub was easy to use and a nice amenity. Right by the slopes, this was the perfect affordable stay. Thank you!

The outdoor deck space and amenities at this property were great. Between a hot tub, pool table, foosball, and cornhole, there was plenty for everyone to do at the house. The interior was very well done and felt cozy.

The townhome was perfectly located to a ski slope. We enjoyed the ski in /out ! The hot tub was also lovely at the end of the day !

My family and I loved our stay at this property and would definitely do it again!!! Everything was beautiful and clean! The Wi-Fi sucked, so the kids and teens complained but it just made them find other things to do. There is a house being built directly in front of the jacuzzi so that sucks, view wise, but overrall it’s a very spacious property and worth the trip!

We came in for our annual deep creek trip. We brought our 4 kids and our oldest sons 5 friends. The house was a great space! The teens were able to have the basement to themselves. The pool table and hot tub were a big hit! We also loved the deck with a nice view. We would definitely stay again

You can expect exceptional service and a very clean home. The house was fully stocked with all the essential appliances. Taylor-Made's customer service was also easy to work with even after we left the home. I would highly recommend booking with Taylor-Made, I am sure all the houses were as high of quality as this one.

Caitlin’s rustic cove was a true delight. Close to the slopes; one can ski to within 50 yards of the front door! Quaint indoor feel replete with VHS (that’s right) and books aplenty. I even found myself headlong into the tales of the Noldor - a 1977 edition of JRR Tolkien’s The Silmarillion. I spied it from the comforts of a cozy recliner. Sleeping accommodations were proper for a full nights rest. Kitchen equipped to the brim, every tool, bit and bop one would need. 10/10. I’d even go as far to state that even a stubborn little Hobbit, one used to the comforts provided by a warm Hobbithole, would find Caitlin’s cove to be perfectly splendid.

We had an amazing stay at this cabin! It was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and perfect for our group of 4 families. The setup was ideal for both relaxing and spending time together. We loved the firepit in the evenings, the hot tub was a great bonus, and having the lake so close by made the whole experience even better. One of us even forgot his phone at the cabin, and Mike was kind enough to open the house for us the next day after checkout so we could look for it—and we found it! That kind of hospitality really stood out. One of the best cabin stays we’ve had. Highly recommend!

First off, Chris was just amazing to work with, very responsive, understanding, and down to earth. The place is so cozy, the TV is large and was great for watching movies and sports. The kitchen and grill worked just as good as expected, the campfire was a nice bonus even though we spent most of the time in the hot tub. The hot tub gets very hot, fits 4 people comfortably, 5 if you want to push it. Me and my friend had an air hockey tournament which was fun. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice. The lighting and temperature is perfect, with if it’s warm you can open a window, if it’s cold, there’s a fireplace. Arrowhead right up the street is a great convenience store with groceries, alcohol, and cheap and really delicious hot food, (I wish we had one back at home). We liked the place so much we got an extension. Chris is the best host I’ve ever worked with, I could not recommend him or this place enough. We will be back!

Leslie has a very nice place that’s secluded. Close to seven springs where we spent a lot of time!
