Beautiful location with lots of privacy, quite remote so we even got to see the Milky Way! Very calming to be surrounded by animals (the chickens came to say hi when we were sitting outside). The host was super friendly. Definitely recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved my stay in the containership. It rained the entire time I was in the Waikato for fieldays and the containership offered a warm cozy retreat at the end of a long day. The hosts were incredible communicators and even went the extra mile to provide me with the use of their crockpot for easy dinners after a long day. One of the best Airbnb I have stayed in. We had a wonderful stay at Marlee’s place. Her guest suite was so cozy and quaint in a beautiful setting. It was the perfect contrast after a hotel stay in the city. There were so many thoughtful touches like extra snacks, a nice breakfast spread, and homemade kombucha! Maree was friendly and communicative. The location was close to town, Hobbiton movie set and Waitomo caves. I would highly recommend Maree’s place to anyone visiting the area.
