The house was very clean and the surroundings where beautiful! It was very peaceful and the house has everything you could need. We enjoyed the ping pong table. Thank you for a great stay!

If you want a relax weekend this is the place! Beautiful view, so close the beach! The house looks just like the pictures! 10/10! If you’re going to Galveston, be ready with cash if you are going to Take the San Louis bridge ☺️

It very nice and relaxing loved it will go back again

This is our second time staying at the house and it was just as amazing at two years ago. I loved watching the sunrise on the front deck with coffee (they have normal coffee pot and Kurig). The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean. Carla was helpful and responsive with questions. We also loved the sunsets from the back deck. There were tons of mosquitos, so be prepared with OFF!!

Adorable beach house in THE BEST location!! Literally a walk through the backyard and over a bridge through the dunes to the beach!! Loved that we shared this area with a few families that rented on the same row. Almost like having a private beach at times. The host was always super friendly in her communication! Will definitely consider rebooking this property if ever back in Surfside 🏖️

We loved our Turtle Bay Retreat getaway! The home was very comfortable, and the host provided all the amenities for a bay front home. Unfortunately we didn't catch anything worth preparing, but we could have if we did! The outdoor grill and griddle were great for cooking our meals. We would have liked to have used the provided crab pot, but we didn't have the chance. Oh well, next time. We are already talking about going another time soon. Host was very kind and responded to my many inquiries very quickly.

I really enjoyed my stay at this cozy little beach house. I stayed for 4 nights. The house was cool and super comfortable after a hot day outside. I walked to the beach every morning and I walked around the neighborhood at night. Parking on site. Clean home with all the necessary amenities. I didn’t need to contact the hosts, but I’m sure they would have been responsive. I’d love to stay again someday. Thank you !!!

The view from the balcony is the best. Very relaxing and the breeze coming in is perfect to sit out there and chat with company. Perfect layout of the home a lot of space and very nicely decorated. Home comes with everything you would need. Beach access is perfect just walk downstairs. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Jessica’s place was the perfect place for our vacation! The place is beautiful and had everything we needed. The pool was the perfect touch & we enjoyed fishing off the pier. The outdoor day bed was so relaxing with a beautiful view. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Jessica was very responsive and accommodating! We would definitely stay again.

We visit Sargent regularly & were looking for a new place to make memories. (last place was sold) Our family had the best time! Outstanding place to stay with beautiful views. Fishing was awesome, the pool & hot tub were extra perks. We were able to sleep & relax easily at this place. Kitchen is fully equipped & outside grilling worked great. Management was responsive & made sure we were comfortable each time. Plenty of space inside & outdoor to enjoy with the family. We have found our new favorite vacation home. We plan to return a few more times this year already.

We had a wonderful time at the home. This was our second time to stay, and we will for sure be back again. We love the location; it is close to everything. The hosts are very nice and answered all of our questions.

Perfect peaceful spot right next to the water. Caught a lot of fish and Derrick was quick to answer whenever I had a question!

Jackie and Bill are sweet people. Their place felt like home. And the sunrise over the ocean was the best❣️ Whenever we go back that way we will be staying there again 😁

Really enjoyed our stay, very nice house near the beach.

This was the perfect spot for our four-family getaway! Lots of room for people to crash. The place wasn’t super fancy or pristine, but it was clean and we have to remember. We’re at the beach, so it was perfect. The washing machine was out on one side, but we were able to use it on the other side. The biggest bummer was that on the first day we were crossing over the dunes to the beach, the kids came upon a rattlesnake so from then on, we had to drive around. So note to self, just be aware! Overall, we had a great time! Patricia is a great host!!

It was a wonderful place to stay! Lots of room! It had everything we needed! We stay here at least once a year when visiting Palacios! Great place with everything we needed.

Lovely place to stay! Stocked kitchen with spices and utensils. Lots of towels and essentials provided. Lisa, the local host, was absolutely wonderful! The view from the sunroom is breathtaking and loved watching the dolphins. The house does sit at the curve in the road and you see all the headlights at night if you're sitting outside. Not much noise reduction between second floor and first floor.

The house was super clean and had everything you would need as far as amenities. Loved the fact there was NOT a thousand stairs to climb especially with coolers etc. We had the opportunity to meet the owner and family and they are great people, very caring to your needs. He even gave us some fresh fish tacos that a family member had caught.. Yum We found the beach is easiest if driving to it (about 3 min) to carry canopy, cooler etc. You need to purchase a beach sticker at the local store. $15 for a day or $30 for the year. For us, it was to far to walk to. There is a golf cart rental very convenient right next door which is great and the small business in not annoying with traffic or loud noises..Its nice and quiet place, love the blackout curtains. Best of all they provide a filtered water cooler so you don't have to drag bottled water!!! Fenced in yard was also a plus with dogs..Cold ac! Small charcoal grill (they provided charcoal and liter fluid). Queen bed was comfortable.

My daughter and I enjoyed The Gem. We loved the home. The beach was very peaceful. We are hoping to make it an annual trip. My daughter and her friends enjoyed using the beach toys and board games. I was so happy I could bring my pups. This was the first vacation without my late husband and just my girl so having all the “extras” really helped me. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay.

Peaceful residential area and close to everything. Good size 2/1 home with comfortable bed and good size yard for the fur babies. Liked the fact there was a carport available. One item to note…there is no TV but the internet is strong and reliable. It is noted in the description that a TV is not included but I personally missed this fact. I would stay here again and would recommend this home.

The spot was great and awesome for family time for fishing for relaxing grass was beautiful to walk and run on was a bit private as well so it made it just perfect definitely going to return for another family vacation

We stayed here a few years ago when the house was new, and we tried again last year but a hurricane came the week of our trip, unfortunately. I am happy we were able to come back this year. The house was just as perfect as the first trip when it was new. Danielle is very responsive and gave us all the information we needed to make it a great vacation and a hassle free trip again. The house is very clean and had everything that we needed.

Our stay was great! The cabin is very cozy and tiny but as expected and looks exactly like the pictures. It was very clean and it had everything we needed, just make sure and bring some of your own kitchen utensils if you plan to be cooking often. Karim was a great host and was very responsive and flexible to us when we asked for early check-in which was much appreciated. The facilities are very peaceful and well maintained! We enjoyed everything there was to offer!

Great little fish camp. Fishing the area was wonderful. Perfect for kayaks. Let my kids take off without worry of boat traffic. Lots of birds and wildlife. Great host. Low traffic and secluded. Loved it.
