An absolutely lovely little getaway. The house is beautiful, warm, modern and cosy and has everything you need. The garden is private and lots of options for sitting outside and taking in the great view! We could hear tui and the beach from the garden. Great location, 3 min walk to the beautiful Otaihanga domain and river walk down to the estuary and beach or up to waikanae. Great for the dogs! Really handy to paraparumu, pubs, cafes, and shops. Lucy was a dream host - super helpful and kind. Thanks for having us, we will definitely be back!

Stayed here in between house settlements. We were allowed to bring our dog and it felt just like home. Very helpful and responsive hosts with a lovely home.

Fantastic place to stay! Walkable to town and our favourite wineries. Caroline provided us with local walks where we could take our dog, which was highly appreciate. Lovely and peaceful place, would stay again.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay. The setting of the house is so lovely, there was plenty of room for all of us with a good variety of options for sleeping arrangements. Excellent kitchen setup (cool room is a great idea!), lots to do with swimming hole, board games, table tennis etc. Shenagh provided excellent detailed instructions and was really responsive to my questions - we knew exactly what we were getting.

Hidden gem in a beautiful spot - our only regret was not staying longer! It's close to Porirua/Paraparaumu, but involves a slightly steep winding gravel drive so feels like a world away. The surrounding native bush is stunning, and we loved all the cosy little touches (blankets, pre-prepared fireplace, coffee and milk etc). Lots of outdoor space, would be amazing for a longer family getaway in nature. Really appreciated the proactive comms from James & Emma too.

We loved our stay at Michelle's beach house. It was perfect for our long weekend. The fully fenced private backyard was perfect for the dog and kids to play badminton, volleyball and frisbee (which we took with us). As well as the fire pit to toast marshmallows and check our the endless stars. We were blessed with beautiful weather. The back deck, house and sleepout were all beautifully sunny. The house and bedrooms are nice and spacious. It was great that it was within walking distance to the play area and beach. We liked that you could drive on the beach to Peka Peka to explore. The sleepout was a perfect private retreat for my husband and I while the kids had the main house. We highly recommend Michelle's house in Te Horo for a lovely quite getaway only a short drive from Wellington, and greatly serviced by Waikanae, Otaki, Levin and Paraparaumu for takeaways, supermarkets and activities (such as the pool and ten pin bowling).

We had a wonderful stay at the villa. The place was warm and cosy, with lots to do and space to spread out. Sarah was lovely to deal with - clear communication and instructions.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

The house was tidy, very well appointed, clean and gorgeous. The deck is huge and the proximity to the wineries and the square was perfect.

The place was just as pictured. Lovely loft barn style super cozy and comfortable. Jessica took the time to light the fire and have the place already warm for us before we got then and as very accommodating with any request. Would happily book here again

I really appreciated our short stay. The kitchen had a range of equipment I could cook with. Easy to clean up in every room. Great layout and my family really liked it. I would recommend this place. Right from the start we had good communications and a friendly welcome. Beautiful position and views and quiet and tranquil. Was a restful and peaceful 4 days. We were welcomed by Donna as we drove up to the house and she walked us to our rooms and explained everything to us showing us around the flat. There was fresh milk in the fridge along with chocolates and fruit from the garden. Dean was friendly and helpful, and we had several long conversations over the weekend about the property and the Kapiti Coast in general. The purpose of our stay was to relax but also visit the area with a view to moving to the Kapiti area, all our expectations were fulfilled, friendly people, lovely beaches and scenery and great weather. Lovely spot for a larger family or group. Great amenities and lots to do around the house. Kids loved the pool and fire pit. Even had a game of pétanque. Walkable to town

It was exactly what I needed! Peace in the country by the river, among farms, olive groves and vineyards. Vernette left me a thoughtful card and gift for my birthday (why I was getting away!) which made it even better. 💙

We had a very comfortable stay. House was warm and inviting. Breakfast provisions were amazing, from home made sour dough bread and pancakes, to cereals. The house is obviously a labour of love, with lots of interesting nick nacks. Thanks Becky

I booked my mum and dad (both in their early 80s, travelling up from Oamaru) into Jason's cosy studio. It was a very stormy few days in the lower North Island, and they were visiting a sick relative, but they felt safe and cosy in the studio. They loved the vibrant artwork, the beautiful walk-in shower, and the proximity to Otaki township. Their only feedback is that, while very comfortable, the bed is quite low to the ground so those with limited mobility might find it a bit tricky. For my part (based in Auckland), Jason was always easy to reach and prompt in answering questions.

We enjoyed our stay, surrounded by a beautiful garden and at walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bakery. Neighboring a reserve at the back was a bonus, so we had more space to play ball games. It was a great place to rest and relax, indoor or outdoor. Board games available to play when it rained. One thing to note is that the bedroom upstairs, although private, it doesn't have a door to block any noise from downstairs. It is a cute cottage with lots of space for everybody.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb. It exceeded our expectations. It has great living areas, plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen, and is in a great location walking distance to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

We had a fantastic long weekend at the cottage on the farm! It is a relaxing, peaceful and beautiful destination to unwind and recharge from city life in! It is just as the pictures show. Loved having a peaceful early morning coffee out in the garden and listening to all the beautiful birds! The cottage is thoughtfully set up, perfectly clean with attention to so many details to make our stay enjoyable. It is clear Mike and Will enjoy setting up the accomodation as there are so many nice little thoughtful touches. Mike and Will were friendly and available to walk us and our daughter around the farm to feed animals. Lovely private garden with really secure fencing that contained our little dog and she had a great time exploring in. Mike was also very thoughtful dropping over bean bags and blankets for us to star watch in the evening as well. Thanks also for the rolling pin and trays for our home made pizzas!
