Cottage holiday rentals in Massif Central

Nyree and Jeff were the perfect hosts and their home in Proissans is just idyllic. We had 6 wonderful days there and wished we’d booked longer. The setting is so beautiful, the gite is lovely, cosy and well appointed, we loved the animals and the pool, and Nyree and Jeff were so kind and welcoming. There is lots to do in the surrounding areas and Nyree and Jeff made some great recommendations including canoeing along the dordogne and a visit to Chateau des Milandes. We would 100% recommend a stay and hope to return again next year.

Perfect accommodation for a total rest, very pleasant. It is in the middle of several iconic places to visit, which allows you to do a lot of things in a weekend! The breakfasts we ordered are excellent, thank you again! We'll be happy to go back!

Jenny and her place were a delight. Ever helpful and attentive when needed we enjoyed our time in the area and with helpful suggestions from Jenny gave us the time and space to unwind and spend time in the Dordogne. The weather wasn't always that good so less comments about the outdoor space than we might have wanted to offer though they did look as they do in the photos. We recommend Jenny and Fleur's place to anyone visiting the area.

We had a pleasant stay. Very nice host, friendly and attentive to us . The hot tub was very nice and the environment was very peaceful . I would highly recommend it.

We had a great week at Olivier's cottage - the place is beautiful, peaceful and very well-equipped. It matches the photos and description perfectly. Olivier was very responsive and his information was very clear and helpful. I teleworked and the wifi connection is impeccable. Lots of places to visit nearby such as Puy l'Evêque, Cahors, Pech Merle Cave, Rocamadour, the Gouffre de Padirac and many more! Walks in the vineyards are very pleasant as is the Jacuzzi at the end of the day with a view of the forest :) We can only recommend this cottage and thank Olivier and Fabienne for the perfect provision of their accommodation. We had a great 2 weeks at Steeve's. I came with my husband and our dog to recharge our batteries and go on beautiful hikes. The house and garden are very well furnished. The pool, jacuzzi, and petanque court were very much appreciated! Steeve was great, very responsive to every message, he even dropped off charcoal so we could have a bbq. We can only recommend it! Thanks to Steeve for his kindness, we'll be back with pleasure!

Can’t rate this place highly enough! It is the most wonderful place; blissful and beautiful views all so calm and perfect setting. The house is immaculate very clean with lovely interiors, comfortable beds and lovely bedding. If you are looking for a fantastic place that you don’t want to leave this could be it; just perfect. Jean-Xavier is lovely and extremely helpful.

If you want a change of scenery and calm in a beautiful environment with a splendid view, this is the right place! The house is beautiful, well furnished, nothing is missing, everything is clean. The bedding is comfortable, the bathrooms impeccable. Don't forget the bread😀. We are 15 minutes from St Geniez, but it's so nice to hear and see the herd of cows and hear the birds singing. Fabienne is very responsive and friendly. Well done and thank you

A great weekend with friends at Stéphane's. You feel very good in the house and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Everything is very clean and the house is well equipped. No problem staying with children. We'll be happy to go back!

Nathalie's place is simply beautiful with an exceptional view. The only "noise" you will hear is the singing of the birds and the drumming of a green peak 😉 We even had the chance to see a royal Milan, in short, everything is perfect and Nathalie, our host, is very friendly and caring. i recommend it 100%

We had a nice relaxing stay in this typical mid-mountain house, with the soundtrack of the herds nearby. The house is extremely well-equipped and the hosts are very welcoming! Our dog also enjoyed it :-) It is 20 minutes from Aurillac, the very pretty Jordanne valley is nearby. The roads are often narrow in the area, to be taken into account for your travel times.

Alain, the person on site who takes care of the owners of the welcome and departure, is available and warm. We were two adults and the property is obviously a little oversized but ideal for 4 to 6 people with all the necessary equipment. Beautiful environment with many hiking opportunities and calm assured.

We had a wonderful week at Coucou Cottage. The cottage is very well equipped and is beautifully styled and furnished throughout. Thédirac is a peaceful village, surrounded by gorgeous countryside. We enjoyed our morning trip to the boulangerie and there was so much to do in the area, we need to come back so we can do more! Rachel is a wonderful host, who made us feel extremely welcome and at home, we throughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

excellent fall stay in this beautiful gite. we enjoyed the fireplace, back from the hikes for even more cocooning, and we were able to enjoy the outdoors, the sunsets from the garden, or a few minutes drive to the violent puy. the cottage is spacious, ideal for 6 with still a small organization needed for the shower and the only toilet🤗. the bedding is new and the rooms are very nice. only small downside, a box spring squeaks, because still too new😉. stone is very responsive, and neighbors Muriel and Claude have great tips, and friendly! i would recommend this Cantalan immersion.

Staying with Carl and Tara was a highlight of our road trip. Too much to say in a little review like this, but suffice it to say, you won’t regret staying here 1 bit. I’m sure we’ll be back!

We had a lovely relaxing stay at Amanda’s gite. Very peaceful and pleasant surroundings. Enjoyed daily swims and chilling by the pool. Amanda was the perfect host, very responsive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend if looking for a peaceful and relaxing break .

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house. It was our first introduction to the Aveyron; what a beautiful region. There is so much to see and do, we will definitely come back.

We had a great time with friends. In the expert hands of Emmanuel, host of unparalleled kindness, benevolence and energy. Always present to respond to our requests, with flawless responsiveness, we were able to have access to all the amenities necessary for our comfort. Also, he was extremely present to advise us on the best spots and activities in the area, all very good suggestions / addresses. Finally, the house offered a quiet, intimate setting sheltered from view, with all the right amenities. A perfect disconnection (because yes the network is not very present) to have a relaxing vacation. And finally, between the swimming pool, table tennis and pétanque terrain at home, we didn't get bored for a single moment.
