Beautiful stay, the cottage was incredibly clean and well presented, the bathroom was gorgeous, and the hot tub was excellent. Fab location and great little walk down to the river at the back. 10/10

The location was amazing and the views were spectacular. This home was exactly what it said on the tin. We were all blown away by it and had beautiful weather to make the most of the outdoor area. The only thing we did notice was that there wasn’t enough wine glasses & champagne flutes. Not ideal when there was 8 women so we had to use half pint glasses. We could have also done with more dishwasher tablets to last the stay. Apart from that it was perfect. Thank you.

Perfect stay for our group of friends. Communication was great, and we had everything we needed. We were really happy with the accommodation (and the bbq and hot tub!). Great spot to venture into the Lake District, and very easy to get to. Thank you!

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

Stayed for 2 nights and we didn't want to leave! Went for a break with friends and the pooch and all absolutely loved it. Beautiful home, views and great dog walks local. Very secluded garden area with hot tub which was lovely in the autumn weather. Will definitely be returning in the future! We had a really good stay! The place was clean, well-maintained, and had all the facilities we needed for a comfortable visit. The views were absolutely amazing — a real highlight of the trip. The hosts were very helpful and responsive whenever we needed anything, which made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

We had such a lovely long weekend with our grown up children. The cottage was so relaxing . Lovely private grounds. Short walk to two private beaches . We really enjoyed having the optional hot tub and sauna . We played games in the garden , visited some lovely walks. A very chilled place. Ruth and Mark are great hosts. Thank you.

The cottage was the perfect place for our weekend away! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the garden was very spacious! We loved watching the neighbouring sheep in the sun room, and the hot tub was the perfect place to watch the pheasants and squirrels which visited the garden. The cottage was about an hours drive to the lakes, and the host was super friendly and recommended some lovely local walks and things to do in the village! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Karen was very helpful and her instructions were clear. It was beautiful, quiet and undisturbed setting was a peaceful escape.

We had a 3 night stay here, first impressions were that it is very clean and well equipped. The cottage is in a really lovely setting with great views, very private with very few houses in sight but close enough to amenities. We found it easy to find and was able to park right outside the front door. Being greeted by the chickens everytime we came back to the cottage was brilliant 😂 We have 2 young boys so even when we weren't out being tourists we could take them out and have a look at the horses, sheep, goats, chickens and cows. The tractor was also a hit with them! I'd definitely recommend the Cheese house to anyone and will keep it on our saved list for the future. Thanks very much Zan and Joe for a fantastic stay.

I had a wonderful stay at Sharu's place! The space was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as described in the listing. Sharu was a responsive and thoughtful host, making check-in smooth and hassle-free. The neighborhood was quiet, beautiful and conveniently located near everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again!

Lovely house, well equipped comfortable beds and in a great area for walking.

this cottage is perfect for a little family retreat, my daughter loved seeing bits of the farm and some animals roaming around, me and my wife loved how secluded it was peaceful and quiet. comfortable interior thought all rooms and great host, lots of local attractions for all ages highly recommended

Had a lovely stay at the Fell View cottage. It was exactly what we needed. A private family retreat surrounded by stunning views. The cottage felt right at home with comfy beds and everything one could ask for. Highly recommended if you are after a break from the noise of city life or even if just visiting the area. Will definitely come again.

A uniquely characterful location, in the foot of the beauty of the northern lakes, over looking Blencathra in the distance. Easy to find and well connected to Penrith for amenities and onward access to the whole of the Lake District. We enjoyed a peaceful, quiet location for our little family and this cortage was warm, comfortable (particularly the beds!) and with everything we needed to self cater. The Wi-Fi was an essential tool as the area is lacking in mobile connectivity. We were able to he given early access by our hostess and they kindly communicated this. We also were met on arrival by our friendly co-host Paul. The kind gift of a lovely bottle of white wine in the fridge also made us smile. Overall, it was a delightful stay and I wholly recommended to all that people come visit the Dairy Cottage at Fort Putnam!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Great lodge situated right at the top of the site, within 2 minutes of a small walk with panoramic views of the valleys. Bedding was super soft & so were the towels, comfy bed, great sleep. Beautiful surroundings to wake up to and sit outdoors with a coffee listening to the birds. Dog friendly! Comfortable sofa! Lots of utensils and plates.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

We had a great stay at Sarahs place. Great location near the beach and also having the pool on site is handy for wet days.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.
