what an incredible place this is. We biked here from Wellington and I've never had a more relaxing spa in my life, listening to the Tui and Piwakawaka as the sun went down. Then got the log burner going and had a cosy night resting the legs. I have already recommended this place to multiple friends! Magic

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic cottage. Tuhitarata Cottage is renovated and furnished with great care and good taste - a great balance between modern amenities and well-maintained original character. Thoughtful hosts who made the stay easy, and were particularly helpful with a couple of extra requests, including a dip in the pool very early in the season. Gardens and estate surrounding were all made available to us, and the whole family enjoyed wandering and exploring. Thanks, Rob and Janelle! We hope to come back some time.

Amazing spot for a peaceful break. Great restoration with some real character. Stargazing and walks nearby were a highlight. Land Girl shop is well worth checking out. Some notes for others - Strong cellphone reception. Solar power in kitchen for charging phones only. Wood fire was cozy and kept whole house warm, but is the only heating. Two burner stove and small Webber barbeque for cooking, good supply of pots and pans etc.

Thanks for the lovely stay. Friendly host and relaxing environment to unwind! All things listed were there and clean. Host reached out to confirm if everything was in order due to last minute cleaning (things happen)! But all was great. Cheers again!

A beautiful stay and a wonderful host. The breakfast and extra snacks were the cherry on top.

The Bumblebee Cottage was super cute and full of interesting pictures, decorations, magazines, books, beautiful china etc.. The pantry was very well stocked and I've never stayed anywhere with such a great selection of teas! It was very quiet and peaceful at night and in the morning we got to meet the chickens wandering around, before having freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Gail is a very friendly and helpful host, highly recommended!

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

We had a relaxing stay at Elaine’s cottage. The location was exactly what we needed, peaceful, quiet and surrounded in beautiful countryside amongst the vines. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog, with a fully fenced section for dogs and kids to play in. The cottage had everything we needed, and was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge. The cottage worked really well for our young family.

We had a fabulous time celebrating our mums birthday with a weekend of relaxation at Melleny and Simon’s place. We had 3 young children who had a blast with the toys/books/pool and outdoor activities (just be mindful of a steep staircase to the third floor but this was foretold to us) Lovely peaceful location and Melleny and Simon were wonderful hosts with prompt communication and reassurance to our queries. We will be back!

This was one of the loveliest Airbnbs I've stayed at. Lovely tranquil location with both sunrise and sunset views, the cottage is beautifully decorated and really warm and cozy, and it was so lovely being able to watch the stars from the outdoor bathtub at night! Absolutely loved our stay! :)

We booked Nicks Bach very last minute while on the road, and was really grateful for the early check in offered and quick communication from Nicola. The Bach is located a very short walk from the beach, is in a quiet peaceful neighbourhood, and has a fully fenced section, perfect for a quiet couple of days waiting out the weather with our kids & dog. Lots of board games and dvds for the kids, and everything you could need in a Bach. Thanks for a great stay Nicola :)

Beautiful home in peaceful surroundings. We spent most of our evenings watching the rabbits and hedgehogs in the garden. Close to all the Kapiti towns and beaches. Would highly recommend.
