An absolutely gorgeous house in an idyllic spot, overlooking the Wellington Harbour. Guthrie Cottage had everything we needed, and nothing we didn't. The beds were comfortable, the central heating was amazing, and the water pressure good. The ideal location to get away from any hustle and bustle, and to be lulled to sleep by the sea on your doorstep. We had a very peaceful, relaxing stay at Guthrie Cottage - will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely historic cottage. Tuhitarata Cottage is renovated and furnished with great care and good taste - a great balance between modern amenities and well-maintained original character. Thoughtful hosts who made the stay easy, and were particularly helpful with a couple of extra requests, including a dip in the pool very early in the season. Gardens and estate surrounding were all made available to us, and the whole family enjoyed wandering and exploring. Thanks, Rob and Janelle! We hope to come back some time.

A stunning property that is both quite and private but a quick ride into the city. Where to begin, this property is stunning, clearly pride of ownership is at the forefront of their agenda. The cottage is so well appointed and everything we could have imagined was there for us. Clean and comfortable is throughout this place of absolute serenity. The gas fireplace adds just the right amount of warmth and ambiance to a romantic evening. We are so glad we stayed here and would definitely like to come stay again. Top to bottom, perfect.

We had a delightful stay at Lucinda’s lovely cottage. Greeted on arrival and drove straight into what felt like a very private space all of our own - yet with walking tracks or the option of the road connecting us up with the animals, pond and gardens. Outdoor bath under the autumnal leaves was a highlight for me and my daughter fell in love with Nutz the cat and Sheldon the pig. We enjoyed feeding him our breakfast scraps. And so cosy with the fire to keep us warm. We’ll be back!

We wanted a relaxing break and that’s exactly what we got at Sarah‘s quirky cottage. Loved the decor and all the games and CDs, spa pool, closeness to the beach. It was great to be able to bring our dog as well. Thank you very much, we will be back!

We loved our stay in this sweet cottage with an amazing history. Carmen and Richard had thought of everything, it was so comfortable. We loved the veranda when shade was welcome and enjoyed the picnic table in the sun too. Easy runs to Riversdale and castle point, both special places, with lovely beaches and good to return home to our hosts sheltered pool and hot tub before dinner. Just a brilliant weekend away. I think we’ll be back!

Jo and Zachary's place is the perfect, comfortable get away. the house is such a nice space, warm and cosy when needed, but also light & breezy when you open all the doors and let the sea air flow through. The house has everything you need to make your trip easy and comfortable. Wonderful views of the sea and enjoyed sitting under the stars at night. I would definitely come back again.

The Bumblebee Cottage was super cute and full of interesting pictures, decorations, magazines, books, beautiful china etc.. The pantry was very well stocked and I've never stayed anywhere with such a great selection of teas! It was very quiet and peaceful at night and in the morning we got to meet the chickens wandering around, before having freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Gail is a very friendly and helpful host, highly recommended!

Catherine’s place was just lovely. Everything we needed and a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. We had such a lovely weekend. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful one-month stay! The host was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and friendly throughout our time there. Everything we needed was provided, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. What stood out the most was the host’s genuine interest in ensuring guests had an enjoyable experience. They went the extra mile by sourcing additional puzzles and offering other engaging activities, on top of what was already available at the accommodation. Very respectful and thoughtful—highly recommended!

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

We were very comfortable and warm. The house is well set-up with provisions, utensils, appliances, etc. I thought there might be a bit of noise at night, from the nearby road, but it was quiet and we slept well. Lovely hosts who made sure we had everything we needed.

We had a relaxing stay at Elaine’s cottage. The location was exactly what we needed, peaceful, quiet and surrounded in beautiful countryside amongst the vines. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog, with a fully fenced section for dogs and kids to play in. The cottage had everything we needed, and was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge. The cottage worked really well for our young family.

We had a fabulous time celebrating our mums birthday with a weekend of relaxation at Melleny and Simon’s place. We had 3 young children who had a blast with the toys/books/pool and outdoor activities (just be mindful of a steep staircase to the third floor but this was foretold to us) Lovely peaceful location and Melleny and Simon were wonderful hosts with prompt communication and reassurance to our queries. We will be back!

I really loved my stay. I just wanted a place to rest and write in beautiful surroundings and that is exactly what I got. Because the unit is situated in this lovely big garden, set way back off the street, yet within easy walking and driving distance from shops, it suited my purposes perfectly. Russell and Louise were very welcoming when I arrived and made me feel right at home. I would happily stay there again.

Awesome location to reach the ballon festival and ballon ascending at Greytown. Great stay.

This place is super. Real authentic kiwi farm cottage in the middle of a farm. So quiet with wonderful tui song. We also enjoyed a country walk over the farm as agreed by Chris. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. The cottage was perfect for two couples. Thank you Jessica for a brilliant stay.

Totally recommend staying at Linda’s. A beautiful, warm, private spot. Enjoyed having breakfast in her lovely private garden, whilst listening to bird song, then a 2 minute walk and on the beach. Enjoyed amazing sunsets and local restaurants etc all in walking distance. Linda is super friendly and helpful and her place is inviting and super clean. Had a peaceful sleep in a comfy bed and everything I needed to make my stay so enjoyable, thank you!

Lucy’s place was absolutely wonderful. A great space to meet up with my friend when I was in town for a conference. Really looked forward to coming at the end of the day. A very peaceful place with fruit trees everywhere. Would 100% book again.

We had clear instructions how to enter the property and was greeted with a lovely bottle of Martinborough Riesling! We had a phenomenal view of the sky in the evening, seeing the galaxy and even lucky enough to catch the Aurora Australis! 😍 The house itself was warm, cosy and perfect for a peaceful trip. We just wish we stayed longer! 😅 Super close to the neighbouring towns and right next to Stonehenge Aotearoa. thanks Kate, we loved our stay!
