This unique 1-bedroom upper apartment is part of a four-unit apartment building. The upper level has two Airbnb apartments. The Door Room is located in the heart of historic downtown Sturgeon Bay and within walking distance of all the action! It was creatively decorated with "subtle" school-themed touches that just may remind you of a dorm room (minus the ramen and bunk beds!) The Door Room is located on a quiet street in an older neighborhood. You also have your own private deck.

The place is better in person than the pictures, and the view is breathtaking. The boardwalk is right across the street, which is super helpful for taking furry friends on a walk. Everything we needed was there, and the beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.

We had an incredible stay! Stacie was an absolutely wonderful host. So kind, and very responsive, flexible, and helpful with check-in. The property was perfect- private, with lots of amenities that made us feel right at home. We spent 3 nights here with 11 people and there was plenty of room for everyone. While it feels remote, the town of Sturgeon Bay is very close so you get the feeling of being out in the country with the convenience of being close to town. We also loved being able to say good morning to the adorable cows. All in all, we had a 100/10 stay and will hopefully return soon!

Great stay in a unique space. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet and clean. The building itself is super cool - a historic property nicely decorated with period furniture, complete with a cute pub, small theater and sitting room. Shared bathroom and coffee area didn’t really feel shared. We didn’t use the outdoor area, but it was well maintained. Michael was a gracious host - available when needed but not overly present. And the cats were playful and friendly. Location is remote - several miles from a decent sized town. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at the Dockside Retreat was absolutely fantastic! The home offered a peaceful stay, with plenty of options for adults and children. We loved the quiet canal and kayaks, neighborhood family walks and cannot say enough about the pool, hot tub and fire pit areas! There was plenty of room for our family to spread out, while enjoying time together in the open floor plan of the main living spaces. Beautifully decorated and clean throughout, with many thoughtful touches. Jenny and Jeff were quick to respond with questions we had, and went above and beyond for all of our time—thank you again!!

Comfortable area to relax at night with my family with plenty of room and nice furniture. Great sleeping spaces and good size bedrooms. Big yard that was designed well for games and outside play, these were also available. We were out adventuring during the day but enjoyed coming home to relax and enjoy the evening.

It took me a little to figure out the light situation. Most notably how to turn on the lights in the bathroom. I don[t know if I was informed or not but the only thing I wasn't prepared for was there was no coffee pot. I brought all that with me and couldn't find one. The truth is that that may have been mentioned but i didn't see it. If you are using this place for fishing headquarters it's great. also not far from food tackle ect.

We stayed here for a night for our anniversary, and we had an amazing time. The downtown area was so fun to hang out and shop at, the restaurants were great, and the room itself was absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely weekend. Thank you so much!!
