Family-friendly holiday rentals in Manistee

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! It's even better in person than the photos - and the photos are pretty great! Perfect location - peaceful and secluded but not far from anything. Melissa was amazing and communicated quickly when any question arose - we were able to check in early and check out late which was an awesome benefit with wine in the car! The amenities are perfection: such a well-stocked kitchen and a pristinely clean bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the character throughout this lovely old granary really made it a stand out. The location is central to many wineries, breweries and great restaurants - we never felt far from anything but it was so quiet and peaceful to be surrounded by fields and so much green! The hot tub was an amazing bonus and we used it on an unexpectedly cold May night. Suffice to say, we will, without a doubt, be making a return visit to this wonderful place. - Lisa & Dave, Sawyer, MI

Over the top amazing place to stay. Beautiful, comfortable and adorable! Seth and Kelsey were outstanding hosts and my husband and I were so impressed, these two should give lessons on how to be the perfect hosts!!! The food was amazing and they also slipped in a little birthday surprise for me. The property was so well maintained and the hot tub and fire pit were a welcome surprise and we enjoyed meeting other guests fixing s’mores!! I forgot to sign the guest book so will be back soon!!

Absolutely loved the location of this rental! It was like a 3 minute walk over to the yellow chair. So, so easy! The condo is also fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is decorated super cute, was clean and very accommodating. We would stay here again for another ski trip.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The hot tub was perfect to relax and enjoy the nature around. We seen several deer on the property. The house was accommodating and had all the basics. We appreciated the firewood as the days and nights were chilly and we love to cook on the fire. Communication with the owners was easy with quick responses.

We celebrated my daughter bachelorette weekend. Enjoyed our stay. Relaxing setting and close enough to Traverse City that we made it to all our planned activities in 20-25 minutes.

This was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. The house is in a quiet area with easy parking and views and an easy walk to the bay. Check-in was simple, with Kate providing great instructions for the keypad to let ourselves in. The house was cozy with all amenities as described, and we felt right at home. All the Traverse City attractions were easy to get to, and Kate provided great recommendations. We had an awesome time and would definitely stay here again.

Kara was very responsive. The air conditioning was not working but they had someone out and it was fixed the same day. It was not as close to downtown as I would have liked but that was my fault for not completely checking out the location. Fantastic shower. Lots of room and super close to the bike trails. And gorgeous view of the water.

Awesome place for our glolf Golf trip, alot of good courses not far away at all. Comfy beds as well. Will definitely be back!

The place is lovely and worked well for my family. The cost of a two night stay doubled w tax, cleaning fees, etc. We almost cancelled due to the final cost for two nights. Is it possible to offer short stays the option of cleaning themselves to eliminate that cost?

Larry and Kristin were very communicative throughout the process. The cabin and location itself was well worth the price we paid. My family and I enjoyed the cabin, the scenery, and the lake. I really enjoyed and appreciated the privacy and location of the cabin. Lastly, I was very excited about being close the lake, and my son and I enjoyed walking the beach every evening. We had a great time!

We absolutely loved staying at the Treehouse! It was beautifully situated in what felt like the woods, surrounded by trees and nature. We heard a woodpecker, got to meet the neighbors sweet cat and on one instance met Lauren’s parents and their sweet dog Sophie. Lauren provided everything we needed for our stay! The cabin is very close to Bellaire and Alden, both sweet little towns. Thank you so much Lauren for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

Robert was an amazing host! Very friendly, warm and made us feel right at home. The property far exceeded our expectations. It was so beautiful and felt magical. We bought our granddaughter with us, and she had the best time. We all enjoyed exploring the gorgeous gardens and walking the trails, but she particularly loved the pond teaming with wildlife and hanging out with the chickens. It was the perfect place for a reset. We can’t wait to go back.

This was a great place to stay! We loved the location and the fenced in yard made bringing our dogs with us even better. My husband and I had a great time spending New Years playing pool in the basement. The location was so convenient to town but so quiet and private- we loved watching all of the deer outside. Just a small hiccup with check-in, as the key was not where the host had indicated, but it ended up working out after a while.

We lo ved our stay at the cottage. Spider Lake is lovely and very relaxing. Nikki was very communicative leading up to and during our stay. We would absolutely want to book it again .

Great place to stay if you’re wanting to be close to the water and get away from the city. However, not worth the price we paid. Although, it was a very busy weekend and that was all that was available for us. It’s a cozy cabin but no WiFi and you will have to clean up and strip the bed before leaving which is something I don’t particularly enjoy when I’m already overpaying for a place to stay. But if you happen to book it on a cheaper date and you’re looking for a getaway with close access to the lake, this is a good find. It was comfy but again, only complaint was the price.

We had a wonderful weekend and totally enjoyed the Condo. It was clean, organized and we felt right at home. We most definitely would stay there again. It was perfect!! Thank you so much for allowing us to rent from you. It was nice to have a home, instead of just hotel rooms. Excellent experience.

We loved the location of this condo and proximity to the beach. The condo was clean and worked perfectly for our family vacation.

Perfect fit for us. Beach & Park across the street. Walked to town for dinner @ Hamlin Restaurant, only place to eat on Sunday evening, exceptional food. Early in May 2025 cool winds but a sunny 2 days. Got a super picture of the sunset across the street from our room. Chairs outside our room, benches & picnic tables to enjoy the outdoors, friendly people walking & look @ the stars on a clear night.

This is our second time staying here. Super clean and lots of stuff to use while at the property!. Beautiful location and quick access to the beach. Also noticed the new floors and furniture. We plan on making this our go to place to stay when in Manistee!

When going skiing, leave ski's in vehicle overnight. Since room is on 3rd floor and the room isn’t that large . But it's great for ski in and ski out to stay

My 4 kids, husband and I have been coming to Shanty creek resorts for over 10 years. This is the first time we stayed somewhere other than the resort hotels. We enjoyed we were able to bring our dog on this trip, we had a kitchenette, and we did more in the area because we had to drive ourselves. This gave us a chance to explore and save more money. By staying in a place more reasonable than the hotel and we were able to cook ourselves and didn't have the added expense of a dog sitter. 4girls sharing one bathroom worked out better than I thought. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you The Ramsey family

We rented this Absolutely beautiful cabin for a bachelorette trip and it was perfect! Plenty of room, amazing house and beautiful area. The cabin was very clean and was perfect for the occasion. Everybody loved the house!
