Villa holiday rentals in Malpais

My wife, 4 year old daughter, and 1 year old son had the best time at Julie’s place. Air con cranks, boho decor, beautiful front porch! The landscaping was amazing and the pool was perfect for the kids. Monkeys swing over you in the pool during the afternoon. Super close walk to beach to surf! Julie answered all our questions promptly and provided us with great recommendations. We rode horses during sunset referred by Julie and it was awesome! You are at the quieter north end of town. 5 star all the way! Thank you Julie!!!

This place is stunning. Sweeping views of the ocean. Howler monkeys in the trees one day. Colorful birds. Everything. Plus it’s a litttttle but outside the main strip of town which is good because it’s quiet Steep driveway but everywhere nice in Santa Teresa has one. Rent an atv or a 4x4 vehicle. Highly recommend this place!

The place is very comfortable and cozy, super quiet and pleasant, my wife and I had a great time, in short I recommend staying here, the hosts and co-hosts are very friendly and attentive too. Thank you very much for everything

Beautiful. Comfortable. Cozy. This is a stay we will never forget!! Aside from the stunning views of the ocean and complete privacy, the villa is charming as can be - a chic bohemian beach paradise. If you’re looking to sip coffee and make breakfast in the morning, while listening to the sounds of nature (a symphony of birds, insects, and the occasional howler monkey roar) from your poolside hammock, this is the place for you!!! It will feel like you’re in a dream! Also, Fiona, our concierge, is a shining gem of a human - so kind and gracious and helpful!!! 11/10 would recommend this place. The only, and I mean ONLY, downside is that the villa is located a ways up the hill and the road is steep and treacherous in some places. We would definitely recommend a mode of transportation to get to the villa. We walked down into town most days and while we had to be careful, it was doable. The walk back up was quite challenging tho - a great workout for those more abled-bodied travelers.

Best air bnb in Costa Rica! Honestly even better than the photos, this is a very modern and clean house. The patio couch is the BEST, so deep and comfortable you can easily fall asleep there, and there is an outdoor fan so you can have your coffee and enjoy the nature without getting too hot. You can actually also hear the ocean, faintly, and see a bit of the horizon as well. There is the best cleaning lady woman who comes often as part of the experience as well. Bathroom is immaculate, and also has a handheld shower head which I appreciate. The location is the best too, you're a 3 minute drive away from the heart of Santa Teresa but you get to come home to a tranquil place. It's a short drive up a hill with only 2 other houses behind the electronic gate, making it perfectly private but not so isolated you feel unsafe (important for me as a solo female traveler). Outdoor shower has hot water. The hosts are so helpful, kind, and responsive. I am very grateful to have found Yoel's place.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The guest houses are nicely laid out, so that each has a great view and nice pool access. Kitchens are well stocked and nicely planned - we cooked a lot and it was easy to use. The location on the hill gives you a very nice panorama of the ocean between Cabo Blanco and Playa Montezuma. It is close to a great restaurant/brewery, and a trail that goes into the Montezuma Waterfall near the top ($5 US to hike it and it was worth the trip). Getting to town or the beach requires driving or walking a pretty steep, busy road. There are lots of great restaurants and beaches around Montezuma.

We had a great time at Villa Lasai! Sophie- the concierge, did a great job assisting us with anything we needed and the house itself is exactly what you see on the pictures- gorgeous with breathtaking views, great pool and outdoor area. I am not an early bird by any means but I enjoyed waking up early in this house a lot- hearing all the forest inhabitants, ocean waves breaking somewhere further make you want to start your day to see/feel more of that. The house is located up the hill and the road is partially paved which took us one full round trip to get used to, but once you get a hang of it- it’s totally fine just a bit bumpy. In terms of proximity to everything the location is great, once you’re down the hill- you’re on the main street of Santa Teresa with all the restaurants, shops and tons of ocean access points. Overall, would definitely recommend Villa Lasai and would love to come back here some time in the future!

We loved our stay!! Absolutely beautiful interior design. Great lighting in the house, comfortable beds and a/c in every room. The pool and lounge chairs were great as well. They also provided beach towels for us and beach foldable chairs which was a nice touch. The location is really great, I personally would say you need a 4x4 to get up the hill (which is normally the case in santa teresa villas) so other than that, the location is very centric to the best restaurants and nice parts of the beach! Inspiring, beautiful, luxurious and a view 10X of what is shared in the photos. Thank you for hosting me. The gated road with evening to late morning security guard outstanding. Gated neighborhood was impressive and secure. The residence here is ample in parking space, very well lit at nighttime and minimal in stairs for ease in accessibility. Exterior facing the valley and ocean with unobstructed view, large pool, comfortable and high-end exterior furniture, all facing the pacific ocean horizon and jungle valley is incredible to enjoy. Insects and bugs non issue, plus its apart far enough from neighbors to enjoy some calm volume level outdoor music. Interior is luxury, with floor to ceiling end wall to wall windows both front side / back side. AC is powerful, wifi too. Dining area, epic, couch tv's are epic. Bathrooms, Master Bedrooms and Guest rooms are all impressive. Everyone speaks to the mountain road upwards to arrive here. Its really nothing for any modern vehicle.

Absolutely perfect home for long vacation or weekend getaway for family six. Spacious. Clean. Support from owner/host and Raphaelle the concierge were first rate. Helpful, responsive and friendly,

This place is over-the-top awesome. Soaring ocean views, but the center of town is just down the hill. The two bedrooms upstairs had epic views and super comfortable king beds, and the third bedroom downstairs was perfect for the kids. Eti, the host, was super responsive and helped us book all kinds of adventures throughout our stay. There was daily cleaning and laundry from friendly staff. It's basically your own private luxury hotel in one of the world's perfect surf towns.

We stayed 2 nights at the Layla house and we felt right at home, the house is very quiet and private The beds are very comfortable and ideal for all 8 guests The person who takes care of the house is always attentive to open the door at all times We would definitely go back

Yonatan’s home and hospitality is the best experience I have ever had on AirBnb—the house is stunning, Yonatan’s communication was beyond excellent. He set up cabs for us, gave amazing restaurant recommendations, had a private link to set up excursions with Local Bird, a great delivery service to get groceries (SippDelivery) and had beer and wine and treats from the AMAZING local bakery waiting for us upon arrival. The beds are soooo comfortable and laundered to perfection by the housekeeper, Deyling, who comes every day. We brought my parents as a gift and it was a gift to us all that we chose Villa Kaleo. The pool is great, the view is gorgeous. We saw white face monkeys, iguanas, heard howler monkeys—all around the house. Highly recommend horseback riding with Oscar as well. GO!

Beautiful location and property. View is fantastic. Pool area was lovely. Outdoor bathroom was a vibe. Felt extremely private and peaceful. Fairly quick access to town in Santa Teresa. Our host/concierge Fiona was extremely responsive and helpful. Our first time in Costa Rica so a few notes for other first time visitors relevant to this property. The roads to access the house are really rough which made coming and going an adventure. 4x4 helpful. In April, temp is fairly hot and high humidity. The AC kept the bedrooms nice and cool but the main room stayed pretty warm. House is set in the beautiful jungle which means wildlife at all times of day and night. Very fun but also a LOT of noise. Bring earplugs if a sensitive sleeper. A few small issues with the appliances during our stay but everything was resolved reasonably. Overall our trip was fabulous and would absolutely book with this host and property again.

This place is amazing! Great location right on the beach, beautiful interior space with absolutely stunning ocean view. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was incredible. The pool is a great was to cool off and the deck was a great place to lounge and just enjoy life.

We had a great stay, the villa has amazing views over Santa Teresa and the hosts were lovely. You will need a 4x4 to stay here as the road is quite steep and rocky, but well worth the drive

We had a great stay at Casa Mango. The pictures were accurate and the place was spotless Laura the host was flawless, she’s was constantly available - giving us suggestions and advice through out our stay, very attentive and made our stay so much more enjoyable with the use of local knowledge. From beginning to end the stay was spectacular. Glori, Rosa and Cheppe were great helping us with everything and staying on the beach in a beautiful home was wonderful. Best place Ive stayed with greatest concierge and service.

This was absolutely the best place to stay! Staying there made our whole trip totally worthwhile! The home, location, amenities, hosts, everything was superb! We would recommend this home to everyone! It was beautiful, spacious, clean, and well stocked. The pool was amazing, the landscaping gorgeous, and the wildlife abundant. It was simply beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing. The birds, butterflies, lizards were all amazing to see and hear. The Howler monkeys visited several times. Our favorite was the Capuchin Monkeys that came onto the deck and pool area. They let us feed them and it was awesome knowing they were in their natural habitat and still socialized with us! Victoria and Maor were the absolute best! They are amazing people and treated us wonderfully. I only wish I could truly express how kind, respectful, friendly, and responsive they were. If you are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience with extraordinary memories to take home with you, then this is it!!

The Aguamadera Villa we stayed in was beautiful. Each living space, rooms, and outdoor space was clean and well designed. The Villa was also located in a great location to Santa Teresa and within the beautiful country of Costa Rica. I would recommend this stay to anyone wanted to explore Costa Rica and specifically Santa Teresa. Paula the manager was outstanding. She communicated very well, was very informed on the area, and had great resources that made the trip seamless. Thank you for a great stay!

Such a wonderful experience a beautiful location. The host was extremely helpful and very communicative. Even when we had a couple of minor issues it was fixable at a convenient time.

Wonderful house! Yoad was incredibly friendly and attentive. The property was just as described, with a beautiful view and a very private setting. Great location—close to supermarkets and shops. It’s also very pet-friendly, which was a big plus. We’d definitely love to come back. A fantastic spot! I recommend!

Cas a Hemingway was an oasis in the bustling towns of Playa Carmen and Santa Teresa. It was set just a block off the main road but was so peaceful. Easy to walk to restaurants and great sunset viewing beach. We had a rented truck which got us around to all of the neighboring beaches and Montezuma. The porch was quiet and lovely for sitting, and we saw lots of birds as well as monkeys on several mornings. Soraya and team were friendly and oh so helpful. They left a list of things to enjoy in the area. Laundry service and frequent cleaning helped with the R&R part of vacation. Thank you to Casa Soleil for sharing your sweet, magical spot with us.
